Makie Akamatsu vs Vita Cremashi

Makie slammed down onto the mat next to Vita, the mat shaking as the two girls crashed into it. Looking down at Vita, Makie noted that the other girl was nice and groggy-- which meant she had the perfect opportunity to potentially finish this. Given how much trouble Vita had been giving her, she would have to pull out all the stops to keep the girl down, it seemed.

"Stay down, will ya?" Makie said to Vita as she nonchalantly stood back up. Climbing over to the ropes, Makie climbed up to the top, raising a fist to the crowd. "Who wants to see the Hurricane fly?" she shouted to her fans, pumping them up for excitement...before launching herself off the mats, backlipping down at Vita aiming to nail her with a flying leg drop!

Vita hears Makie’s taunt, as bad as her position is her first instinct is to come up with something witty.

“M-make me,” is the best she can come up with, which makes her more nervous about her chances than the pain.

As Makie climbs the corner turnbuckle Vita knows she should move out of the way. She knows that this isn’t something she should stick around for. Makie talking to the crowd about a named move makes that painfully clear, not that Vita researched Makie’s moves but she knows a move you give a name to usually is never pleasant.

So she lays there, as if waiting for her execution. She wished Kara was here, even if just to know she’s watching her lose her match. The thought hit her, that even if her friends aren’t here they’ll see her getting her ass kicked. Everyone will. Like hell they will, Vita thinks to herself, not while I can still move.

Just as Vita starts to get up Makie leaps into the air and crashes onto Vita. All thoughts of getting back into the fight disappears with the thunderous crash. Vita for her part rolls over nursing her chest completely forgetting about the match.

The flying drop kick worked beautifully. Makie managed to leap off the top rope (and look like a total, amazing boss while doing so) and described a perfect arc through the air towards the downed Vita. A part of her was worried that Vita might counter, or roll out of the way, before she could hit. But everything worked according to plan: her knee collided violently with Vita's chest, nailing her opponent and leaving her further weakened and in pain on the mat.

Bouncing off of Vita, Makie wasted no time in crawling over her downed opponent, lying across her and pulling back one of her legs. In an instant, the ref girl was starting the countdown again.

"One..."

She’s lost, she knows it. She can feel Makie’s weight on her and the referee next to them. Everything hurts and she’s pretty sure she’s seeing stars.

“Two”

Somehow though she had enough sense to be thinking of how to get out. She knows that she shouldn’t, she’s hurt and there’s a good chance that another hit will just knock her out for good. Anyone with any sense would stay down and let the fight end.

That said, she was never the most sensible girl around.

Just before the referee counts three Vita will try to bring her knee up into Makie’s midsection while twisting her body. Both to break the pin and to get a solid clean hit in.

Holding onto Vita's leg, Makie held her breath, hearing the count reach two. This was it: a few seconds more, and she would have won this match. Vita had put up a hell of a good fight-- one that had pushed Makie to her limits even-- but Makie's superior ring experience was going to win the day here--

Her train of thought was cut short as Vita's knee hammered into her midsection. Although it was at an awkward angle, it still was delivered with surprising force. "UUGHK!" she gasped, the blow sending her rolling off of Vita and rolling onto her side. "Ufff...d...dammit..."

‘Well that’s it,’ Vita thought to herself as she launched her last hit of the match. Or so she thought.

A good moment passes before she realizes that the ref hasn’t counted three and that Makie’s weight has rolled off of her.

When she realizes she hasn’t lost a desperate energy fills her to act. Gritting through the pain she scrambles to wobbly feet. Once up she resorts to her first impulse and she will lash out at Makie with a kick to the back of the knee, both to keep her from getting up and to set her up for a follow up. If she manages to get Makie on one knee she will try to wind up for a big spinning kick at the Japanese wrestler’s head.

Makie huffed, clutching her midsection as she rolled away from Vita. That last-minute counter attack had taken her completely off guard, and her vision swirled a little as she pushed herself back up to her feet. She stumbled, and shook her head, knowing that she had to clear the cobwebs before Vita could--

Her thoughts were interrupted as Vita's boot slammed into the back of her knee, dropping her to a kneeling position. She gasped loudly, spinning to face Vita...just in time to see a boot crunch into her face. Her vision went white, and she flopped onto her back, unmoving, sprawled in an ungainly feet as Vita's kick slammed into her head and dropped her like a stone.

Vita’s kick landed with a satisfying thump, that drops Makie to the mat. She would have followed up immediately, but she has to keep her own legs from buckling underneath her. She didn’t want to think about what would have happened if she had missed. She thought of going for the pin right there and then, but she honestly knew that if Makie didn’t stay down she was done. She knew she has to make sure Makie won’t get up again, and the Japanese wrestler had proven determined if nothing else. After having thought for a moment her eyes shot to the nearest ring corner and her face lit up.

She will try to climb the nearest corner and once on top, she will leap look back over her shoulder at Makie to make sure she’s lined up and to give the audience a moment’s pause before the crescendo. She will then leap backwards, flipping in mid air so that she will land on Makie’s stomach with her own. Because if you’re going to end a match do it with style. Once she lands she will try to immediately go for the pin.

For several seconds, Makie lay prone on her back, her legs twitching slightly as she stared up sightlessly at the ceiling. She was dimly aware of the crowd chanting and stomping for some reason, but she could barely make out any of it past the dull ringing in her head. "Umhnn..." she groaned, shaking her head as she tried to clear out the cobwebs. She could have sworn someone in the audience was chanting her name, shouting for her to get up....wait, up? Was she lying down?

Grumbling a little under her breath, she forced one eye open.

And saw Vita leaping down at her, describing a goddamn beautiful arc as she flew down towards her.

"Oh..." Makie said.

The impact game half a second later, bursting the air from Makie's lungs and causing all of her limbs to jolt like livewire. A second later, she fell limp again, groaning and unable to move after being slammed between her airborne opponent and the mat.

Vita sored over the ring and in the rush of air, blood pumped quicker, and everything seemed to slow down. For a moment she saw the sheer look of surprise on Makie’s face, with maybe a hint of admiration, before her arch ended in a great crash.

She came down with enough force to knock the wind out of the both of them. She still has enough sense to pin one arm down with her hands and the other with her legs. Immediately the referee kneels next to the two and starts the count.

“One!”
