Seasonal Yuletide Christmas Bash Extravaganza!

The sting of cool air was very pronounced indeed across the haphazard slash marks on Abattoir's back. Under the mask, she gritted her teeth even harder as she tried to keep the other girl's legs down. There was a sort of chill to the pain, some kind of frisson that made it delightful.

Not that she wasn't going to give some back if she got the chance. Grappling had always been her weak point and so, since her arrival in AFW, the nak muay had focused hard on improving her ability to wrestle. She'd picked up a few fancy suplexes and the ability to chain a couple moves together, but her most-improved area by far was her understanding of leverage. It hadn't exactly been an alien concept - muay thai had a huge focus on the clinch, after all - but the progress she'd made was pretty impressive.

It went to work here, as she leaned hard on one of Jessica's legs and then used the opening to scramble forward. In a flash, she was up past them and straddling her opponent's waist, and then it was time to really get going.

Rather than risk trying to punch it out and getting overpowered by Jessica (who was stronger, after all, and Abattoir had seen people knocked loopy even by 'arm punches' from the ground), she grabbed one of the presents and hoisted it over her head, then tried to slam it down into the Violent Violet's chest and face. No reason to open it yet. The box was heavy enough on its own, and with her luck, it'd probably have tinsel in it.

Jessica was not usually one to forget herself. She was all too aware of her surroundings at all times save this one. In situations like this she usually used her incredible strength to brawl her way out of the situation or her stamina to simply outlast opponents. Unfortunately for the Violent Violet neither came into play at this critical juncture. What did come into play was a large box smashed over her head. Jessica's neck and head ragdolled as something terribly heavy came down on her.

One blink. Then two. After such a calamitous collision Jessica was surprised she was awake, let alone cognizant. Her guard had been shattered for the moment and a massive bruise began to form on her forehead. Jessica hadn't received a knock like that in a long long time and she would have been less than thrilled if this new world made any sense to her.

Sooner rather than later, Jessica came back into focus. Her opponent had a full fledged mount and Jessica was on the bottom. She tried to shove Abattoir off of her with a mighty push just to get the ball rolling back in her favor.

The clunk of the gift box against Jessica's head was almost comical, but Abattoir was dead serious (and so was her satisfaction at the impact). There we go, now things were starting to look good. She'd paid the Violent Violet back for the lighttube shot, and it was time to really go ham.

She was in the middle of raising the box to deliver another devastating shot when Jessica bucked under her, twisting to one side and trying to throw her off. Normally it'd be pretty difficult to get out from under the hail of blows, but she'd really reared back with the box and was off-balance, and so the movement knocked her off Jessica and back to the mat.

Abattoir took a second to catch her breath and rolled over onto her side, tearing the ribbon off and popping the lid on the box. As her opponent recovered behind her, she reached into the present to see what was inside...

Jessica was surprised to see that her desperate shove was enough to disentangle the masked girl. Delighted, but surprised. She had some breathing room now and used it to scramble away. Usually the Violent Violet was nothing but offense but this was different. The fact that she had just gotten walloped over the head by something with indeterminate and vaguely interminable weight made her want to play a little defense.

She brought her hands up, steadily at first then all the way up. Abattoi had the momentum. For right now, all Jessica felt like doing was weathering the storm. She felt like a cabin on the Iowa plain with an F5 comign at her. There were all sorts of goodies in boxes all around the ring and god only knew what was in the box that the masked girl was currently preoccupied with.

The Violent Violet spread her legs. Low center of gravity, guard up. The voices in her head hounded her to stay vigilant. Don't let anything get through. If all of Jessica's focus wasn't lasered in on Abattoir she would have become aware of the fact that she was now sweating and breathing hard.

Abattoir rose from her brief roll, leaving a smear of blood across the mat, and dug around in the box for a moment. In the middle of all the plunder inside the present, er hand closed around a familiar hilt, and the nak muay smirked viciously. All she had to do was wait for Jessica to come charging in again...

...but although her usual plan of 'act disadvantaged, wait for them to follow up, and then strike' had worked quite well against previous opponents, no attack came, and she turned her head to see the bigger girl squaring up and waiting for her. Ballsy. Also, pretty fucking smart, considering what usually happened to people who rushed her.

Abattoir's hand withdrew from the present clutching a pair of telescoping police batons, and her other hand tossed the gift-wrapped box to one side. She twirled one of the batons nimbly between her fingers, then, with a flick of the wrist, extended it all the way out. It wasn't quite as dangerous as most of the stuff they'd been playing with, but those things sucked to get hit with nonetheless.

This made it all the more interesting (and, to the crowd, worthy of a few cheers) when Abattoir dropped the other baton to the mat and kicked it across the mat, where it settled at Jessica's feet. She'd done this once previously, but the fans apparently hadn't expected it to be a consistent trait of hers, and the action met with surprised approval.

Police batons. That was new and exciting. Outside the ring she had tasted a lick or two from them but inside the ring, she was on unfamiliar territory. Jessica put on a brave face as she saw the girl twirl them adroitly and then brought it to its full length. Ok, so those things come quick, but maybe if I catch her in the act...

Then something completely surprising happened. Her opponent not only dropped one, but kicked one across the ring to her. Jessica's face dropped in surprise. Was this some sort of trick? Was there something that this girl knew that she didn't? She kept a leery eye on the masked girl as she bent down to pick it up.

The thing was firm in her hand. Firm and hard and wont to cause a shitload of damage if someone caught the business end of it. If this wasn't a trick, then this was some cowboy shit Abattoir just pulled and Jessica respected the crap out of this girl for trying it. Respected and wanted to tear to shreds.

Enough patience, enough resting. The crowd picked up and urged both of them forward and the Violent Violet responded to their call. She barreled forward with the baton high in the air and sought to bring it down over her opponent's head when she was close enough.

A properly-made baton carried a surprising amount of weight right in the tip, at the very farthest point of a swing. Physics in action, Abattoir supposed. Well, time to put it to use. Jessica had accepted the weapon, which raised the nak muay's esteem of her by a few degrees - no interfering scruples, no overpowering fear of a double-cross, just the urge to get back in there and resume their little war. In a lot of ways, she was kind of like the perfect opponent. Maybe this whole Christmas thing wasn't so bad after all.

She saw the Violent Violet's muscles tense and tried to beat her to the punch by charging forward. They met halfway and Abattoir immediately thrust the baton forward like a sword, trying to catch Jessica in the ribcage with the hard metal edge. But her opponent was already twisting in place, readying an overhead swing, and the attack missed her by millimeters! Barely even a graze.

Abattoir had just enough time to think ....Oh before Jessica's swing came down. She was out of place so it didn't quite nail her in the intended spot, but the backswing still caught her right in the back of the head. The nak muay let out a pained gasp and doubled over, dazed from the impact. Flashes of light consumed her vision for the moment, leaving her vulnerable.

There are lots of ways weapons can be used to cause damage. There are stabby weapons and bashy weapons and swingy weapons. As Jessica was too busy bringing her baton down she could not react in time to the fact that Abattoir was using a swingy weapon as a stabby weapon. For this, she earned a very solid poke in the gut and was not very pleased with that.

She was also not quite pleased that her baton did not come down on her intended target but found some satisfaction in the thunk it made when it hit Abattoir's head. It wasn't that sweet spot right in the middle of the forehead but it certainly worked.

Christmas was the holiday of giving, not receiving, and Jessica was very much in the mood to dish things out. She brought the baton around again, this time from the side. Abattoir was not rushing at her so if she were lucky her timing would not be disrupted. So the baton might me impacting the side of Abattoir's head in three, two, one...

Her head was swimming. Somewhere in the back of her mind, Abattoir registered that she'd just taken a pretty rough blow, and a followup was practically inevitable. She had to swing out and backhand the other girl...

Unfortunately, Jessica thought of it long before she did. A second shot came in, nailing the nak muay flush in the temple and sending the world exploding into a scramble of disjointed images. Abattoir dropped like a puppet with its strings cut, hitting the mat hard and sending her baton rolling off to the side and under the ropes (where it promptly clattered to the floor).

Her eyes blinked rapidly over the mask, unfocused and seemingly staring at nothing in particular. Clearly Jessica had hit her pretty goddamn hard.

Go. That was the only word that occurred to her. The girl clearly had some endurance to her and seemed hard enough to go the distance against her or any other woman in this league. Jessica hoped to make that distance a whole heck of a lot shorter as she clambered towards one of the boxes. She flung her baton aside and tore the present open only to find Christmas ornaments.

Fucking Christmas ornaments. What a fucking abysmal weapon. She looked over at the downed girl when an evil idea flashed through her head. She dumped the contents of the box out onto the mat and went back to Abattoir. Time to get some payback for being dumped onto the tacks earlier. She advanced on the masked woman and prayed she had not fully recovered by the time she had gotten there.

See, if she wasn't as spry as she needed to be, Jessica was going to do something pretty awful. She was going to pick Abattoir up, lift her into the air, and try to hit her with a delayed vertical suplex, her infamous Fujita Five. The target would be the ornaments on the mat behind her and when the weight came down, those puppies would shatter. And when they shattered, they would probably leave some pretty nasty scars...
