Valley was smiling when Morrigan looked back. She backed away, finally, and held up her hands, like she was looking at a painting she'd gotten just right, and even the slightest missed stroke would mess it up.

"Do me a favor." She held up a finger. "Don't look at any of the matches I've had since ours. Don't study anything I've done. Just keep that little smile on your face, thinking I'm some ugly, old, worn out hag who you can just run over with no problem. I want you to still have that smile on when our match comes, and I want to see it fall off the moment you realize exactly what you've gotten yourself into." She took a deep, satisfied breath. "It's going to hit you like a ton of bricks, and it's going to be delicious. Just...don't spoil it."

She gave Morrigan a frilly little wave and started walking away. "See you in the ring."
