Beer and Sympathy

Taylor giggled. "How weird would it be to hang out with people who aren't dying to kick your ass?"

She slid her third beer down the bar toward Angel and stood up, her head a little swimmy from the sudden change in elevation, and stepped over to Angel. She hopped up and took a seat on the Latina's lap with her arm around her and made herself comfortable.

"We can buck the stereotype, though. Us wrestlers CAN hang out without it ending in a brawl. Let's see if we can go the whole night without hitting each other with chairs or whatever. Deal?" She took a drink, and then wriggled a little and leaned against Angel. "Oh, you have a good backrest."

Angel raised an eyebrow as Taylor stepped over, slipping into her lap. She squirmed a little, as the girl made herself comfortable, then laughed softly at her.

"You've got a deal, chica," she agreed with a sly wink. "We can wait until next time to smack each other with chairs." With a chuckle, she wrapped an arm around Taylor's waist, giving her a squeeze against herself.

She reached for her drink again, then frowned when she noticed how little beer she had left. With one quick motion, she finished it off, then dropped it back onto the counter, motioning the bartender for another bottle as she looked back at the suddenly very close girl in her lap.

"Comfy?" She teased, holding Taylor gently against herself. "I hope so. That's the best backrest you're going to find all night!"

"Pretty comfy!" Taylor grinned, as if it came as a surprise. She noticed that Angel had already sucked down her third beer, and she had barely touched hers. She felt like she was drinking with Akashi.

"Man, I feel like if we're going to drink more, we should switch to shots or something. But that could be dangerous... You've seen what happens." She laughed out loud, and then stopped to think. "Or maybe you don't... I don't think you've ever been to one of my parties. Hmmmmmmmmmm... Maybe we can fix that next time."

She ruffled Angel's hair, and became thoughtful for a moment. "Isn't it weird, though, how everyone here is so gay? Like... Imagine how weird it is for me that almost everyone I know is a lesbian. It must be pretty weird for you that like, all of your friends might be down for sexy time, too. How does that even work?"

Angel grinned back at Taylor, and gave her a shrug. "We can go stronger if you want. I haven't seen what happens, but...I like dangerous." Her eyes sparkled, as if she was eager for something a bit harder, and she smiled, as Taylor ruffled her hair.

"Mm...honestly, chica? I haven't really thought about it much." She tilted her head back, looking up as she rolled her thoughts around in her head. "Like, yeah, half the damn company is gay as fuck, but...it's not like we all want to fuck each other's brains out all the time, you know?" She looked back down at Taylor, and shrugged again. "I mean, it's not like all the people over in Tension want to get down and dirty with each other all the time, right?"

"Hell yeah, they do!" Taylor nodded emphatically. "What planet do you live on? They all live to bone. Friction, too. The goddamn showers are like a twenty-four hour amateur porno. Fuckin' weird dykes-types."

She picked up her beer, and paused it halfway to her lips to peer at Angel suspiciously out of the corner of her eye. "C'mon, you can't tell me you never thought about it. Look me in the eye and tell me you never thought about getting down to it with me. I mean, we definitely got physical enough."

Angel did just that, looking Taylor straight in the eye, a smirk tugging the ends of her lips upwards.

"Never. Not once. I was too busy wanting to beat your sorry ass senseless to ever think about fucking you senseless," she answered, waving a hand dismissively at the blonde. She started to reach out for her own drink again, but stopped, and peered back at Taylor, narrowing her eyes at her.

"What about you, huh? Just how many dirty thoughts have you had about me, chica?"

"Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?" Taylor screwed up her eyebrows and pulled back to look at Angel. "No," she shook her head and hopped off of the Latina's lap, wagging her finger. "Uh-uh."

She started to walk away like she was going to keep going all the way out the door, but quickly came back. "Dude, I'm straight! But like, what the hell kind of lesbian are you? Do you not understand how hot I am?" She flailed her hands at Angel and gestured down at her spectacularly fit body. "Like, what the hell?"

Angel watched Taylor stepping away, rolling her eyes at the punk's dramatics. "Never said you weren't hot as hell, chica!" She reached out for her drink again, this time taking it and lifting it back to her lips. "I just never had time to think about making you scream in please. I was too busy trying to...you know, make you scream in pain." Pause. "The bad kind of pain, not the kinky kind."

She took a drink out of her beer, finishing off number three, and gave Taylor a lopsided grin and a shrug. "Besides. As cute as you are, you're taken already. I can't think too many dirty thinks about you. The alcohol might make me do something silly, and I would rather not have your family kicking in my door coming after me afterwards." She was teasing and joking. Mostly.

"Ha, yeah..." Taylor grabbed her shoulder and let her arm hang. "Well, I'm sure we'd be down for a threesome!" She said, and felt awkward. "Kidding, obviously."

She went back to her seat at the bar and took another sip from beer number three. She tilted the half-full bottle and rolled it back and forth, watching the line of the liquid inside through the glass. "My family's getting smaller, though..." She mused sadly. "It's not great."

The Latina laughed again, her voice cutting through the air of the bar. "Oh please! As if you or your Johnny could handle me!"

Her laughed ended abruptly though, and her expression grew sympathetic, as she heard Taylor's sad tone. "Heard about that," she replied softly, turning back to the bar, glancing briefly at the blonde from the corner of her eye. "Cassie's leaving, yeah?" She paused, somewhat awkwardly, not entirely sure of what to say, and gestured for beer number four while she thought about her words.

"I can't imagine what that feels like. How are you holding up, chica?"
