Backstory:
Minki was born in Benoni, South Africa to Afrikaner parents before eventually moving back to their family’s ancestral home in Rotterdam -- although it had been several generations since the Hertzog family had returned to the Netherlands. She lived a surprisingly conservative, albeit loving, life in which she struggled with her attraction to sexual activity and its classification as a sin by her religious parents.
