Makie vs Makoto - Makie's big match.

Makoto Aihara made her way down to the ring eager to break the bones of another youngster. It amazed her so much how so terrified of her people were that most of them couldn't even finish a match against her like Makoto Kondo and Jenny Star. Both Kaede and Sasha had given her a decent standing but neither showed their face much around her afterwards.

Hmm, guess I left them some scars...

Both Reiko and Dixie had fallen to her. She never saw Dixie again. She had heard Reiko had been given a chance to warm up against her but never followed through with it. There were others too but they were barely worth remembering.

Sigh. Oh well. Guess they really are afraid of broken bones and torn ligaments. I wnder who they toss against me tonight? You know maybe whoever I face, I actually will break their legs.

Makoto stepped in and walked to center of the ring, giving her neck a slight crack as she watched the entry ramp in bored fashion. She was dressed in her usual white gi. A lot of the crowd booed her tremendously because of her brutal treatment of recent stars.

A few minutes later, Makie stepped into the arena, wearing her usual white two-piece outfit with matching pads and boots. As she stepped in, she noticed that the crowd wasn't cheering her with the same enthusiasm as in her last match. That wasn't surprising-- she had, after all, gotten her ass kicked thoroughly by her opponent in a painful and humiliating loss. For her part, Makie did nothing to acknowledge the crowd, staying focused on the ring ahead of her as she walked down the ramp.

It had been a few weeks since that match. Makie had never thought she would gain a friendship from that encounter, but Midori's offer to help wasn't one she could overlook. Initially, she hadn't wanted to-- she felt that this was Midori's special way of insulting her after she'd already beaten the crap out of her. But to her surprise, she and Midori had become quick friends. Midori had been able to teach her a few tricks her brothers hadn't taught her, and unlike Kyo and Toshio, also taught her to fight rough when she needed to. Above all, unlike Kyo and Toshio, Midori hadn't held back in training her-- Makie had recieved her fair share of cuts, bruises, and torn ligaments in spars with Midori. But she had risen above the pain, and now she felt more ready than ever to get back into the ring.

If only her brothers were here, she tought. Kyo and Toshio had been slated for a tag match on the same day as her return to the ring. They had both wished her luck, but Makie would have given anything to have them in the ringside, cheering her on. Or even better, she would have loved to be fighting in the ring alongside her. Midori couldn't make it either-- she had a match of her own as well. She sighed. In her return to the ring, she would be alone.

Sliding under the ropes, Makie got a good look at her opponent- a slim girl wearing what appeared to be a white gi. She allowed herself a little smile as she stepped into the ring.

"A judoka, huh? I know a bit of it myself." She stretched her arms. "Makie Akamatsu, pleased to meet you."

Makoto crossed her arms smirking and looking very unimpressed.

"Oh really? I can't say the same."

Cracks her neck.

"Tell me, you ever break any bones before?"

"As a matter of fact, I have," Makie replied, remembering her brief match with Sasha Brenshov. "But the girl in question was too stubborn for her own good, and would rather suffer a broken shoulder than submit." She smirked back at the judoka. "Are you going to be the same?"

Makoto's face flashed with annoyance. She knew she was talking about Sasha and perhaps she still had feelings for her.

"No one makes a submission master submit. And as for tapping out, I won't let go like your previous opponent did."

"You talk big, 'submission master," Makie replied, her face becoming serious. "Let's throw down, and we'll see who winds up submitting to who." And with that, she began to circle Makoto, arms held at ready. At around the same time, the bell rang.

Makoto did not stir from ehr cocky stance as the bell rang. She kept one ar folded near her and then beckoned at Makie in a taunting manner with the other.

Glaring at Makoto, Makie closed the distance between them, raising her hands and motioning for a lockup. As she stared Makoto down, she prepared herself to counter any tricks or sneak attacks the judoka might pull.

Makoto raised a brow and studied Makie. She seemed to have a good enough stance.

"Tell me. Who was your teacher?"

Makie didn't take her eyes off Makoto. "Kyo Akamatsu," she said. "Toshio Akamatsu. And Midori HIMENO!"

With the last word, she would lunge in to grapple Makoto. If she managed to take the other girl by surprise, she would seize the initiative to drive a knee into her belly in the process.
