Grappling: **** Starting out as a technical wrestler, she's familiar with grappling, and has no trouble using that knowledge to put on the pain.

Speed: *** Kukua is not slow, but she's not as fast as a smaller girl.

Defense: *** It will take a big hit to get Kukua to falter too much.

HISTORIC BACKGROUND

Kukua was born in the city of Kumasi, in the Ashanti region of Ghana. Her parents, both gold miners in the wealthy city, spent almost all of their time before her birth working in the mines, making fair money. It was hard work that demanded far too much of their time, and the birth of their daughter made it difficult to work and take of her at the same time. With this in mind, and with the desire to keep her from the hard life of mining or manufacturing, which was the city's most prominent jobs, they decided to immigrate to America in hopes of building a better life for them and their daughter.

The couple settled in Maine, where Kukua's father took to becoming a fisherman, and her mother, a housekeeper. While neither job paid a large amount of money, it was more than enough for them to build a simple life, away from the difficulties of mining.

Kukua grew up as any other child would. She attended normal schools, and made decent grades most of them time. Upon turning 14 and going into middle school, the young Kukua took an interest in the wrestling team. However, she discovered that there as no individual teams for both female and male wrestlers. So, with a bit of begging, she managed to get the principle to agree to make the team co-ed. She became the first female to wrestle in her school. And, at her age, she was already fairly taller than most of the boys on the team.

Her parent's, however, weren't fond of the idea of her wrestling, and demanded that she quit. They saw it as dangerous, and incredibly immoral for her to be having, as they put it, "indecent contact." But she refused, telling them that she had been doing well, and that she could potentially become her school's best ever wrestler. Her parents, while still very against it, allowed her to make her own choice, as it was one of the reasons they came there in the first place.

Kukua was a natural. She went undefeated for 13 matches straight, giving her her schools record for longest streak. Her first loss came to a boy who was taller than even her. The match was close, and the two of them were fairly evenly matched. But in the end, he overpowered her, and got the win. Despite the one loss, she went on to win many more matches, and proved that she was as good a wrestler as any of the boys.
Once in high school, Kukua, once again, joined the wrestling team. Here is where she met her first boyfriend. She became infatuated with him. The way he wrestled, the way he looked at her, everything. It didn't take long for her and him to get close, but she kept it a secret from her parents, who she knew would not approve.

The two had been dating for around a month, and had gotten very close. After a team practice that ran late, Kukua had been changing in the locker room, when her boyfriend snuck in and the two of them got intimate, which led to them having sex in one of the showers. Her first time.
After this, however, gave her the cold shoulder, almost acting as if she didn't exist. It hit her then that he had been playing her, hoping that he could get sex, only to ditch her when he finally got it. This put Kukua off of her game, and she ended up losing a string of 5 matches. Heartbroken and humiliated, she quit the team, and she refused to get close to another man again. It wasn't until her last year of high school that she joined the team again, racking up a season of no losses. She was a remarkable talent at wrestling, and despite her bad experience with one person, she used that talent.

After high school, Kukua went against her parents wishes to go to college, and instead pursued her love of wrestling. Leaving Maine, she traveled south-west to New York, where she joined an independent league of professional wrestling. Kukua, who by the time she joined, was already six foot two, and towered over most of the other girls in the league. And with her background in technical wrestling, she excelled greatly. Plus, she learned a lot of new grapples techniques from matches and from coaches. After about half a year there, she earned the Woman's Title for the league and held it for a year until she lost it to a very talented, small girl named Alexa.

The two of them maintained a very heated rivalry after that, which was coupled with a mutual respect for one another. Alexa, though almost a foot smaller than Kukua, proved to be a strong opponent. The two of them shared wins and losses at each other's hand, and the two grew closer, not only as rivals, but as friends. And soon after, lovers. Their bitter, hard fought matches with one another were almost always followed by intense love making, which was almost a competition all on it's own.

This relationship didn't last forever, however. Alexa signed with a bigger name league, and moved to the west. The two of them eventually lost contact, though Kukua kept her fond memories of her old rival.

After a fairly easy match against what was basically a jobber, Kukua began to feel that she was wasting her talents in the small league. She wanted more of a challenge. She was the biggest girl of all the women, and almost none of them put up the challenge Alexa did. It grew boring, and she didn't want it anymore.

Seeking a fresh start, Kukua took to the internet, where she learned of a major wrestling company called the AFW. From what she read, it was a place full of the best wrestlers in the world, as well as some of the most controversial matches she'd ever seen in her life. But the prospect excited her. The idea that she'd be able to compete with the best of the best was what she wanted most. So, using up all of her savings, she bought a plan ticket and headed to Japan in hopes of trying out for the AFW.
