Naya Kazashi vs The Black Belt Demon - The Grind Never Stops

As much as she was coming to despise the woman slowly sucking the life out of her, Naya couldn't help but mentally admit that her words rung true. Naya had made a lot of assumptions about her opponent upon first seeing her enter the ring. At first glance, the judoka was nothing more than an insecure pawn, one who displayed only insults and haughtiness in lieu of actual skill. These preconceptions were quickly dissipating, as the Black belt Demon was begging to show just how to dominate she could be. Naya closed her eyes tight, The first signs of tears beginning to show in the corner of her eyes as a humiliatingly quick victory for her opponent seemed all but certain.

Thoughts of despair were soon interrupted by the immediate rush of air into her lungs as her opponent's hold all of a sudden vanished. Before Naya could even get a sense of what was happening, pain found itself spiked deep into her gut in the form of a brutal knee by her opponent. Her eyes shot open, the few morsels of oxygen she had managed to retrieve once gain instantly forced out of her. She curled over to the side, clutching her stomach as she weakly stared up at her opponent. She tried to match her opponent's cold stare with a defiant one of her own, but it didn't take much to see through her pathetic attempts.

It was clear at this point that the judoka hadn't acted out of any sense of sportsmanship, but simply out of the desire not to cut Naya's suffering too short. After all, the Black Belt Demon was clearly eager to prover herself, and Naya was proving to be the piece of meat she was looking for. But Naya's determination and resolve wouldn't be snuffed out that easily. There was no way she was going to give her opponent that satisfaction.

Naya slowly made her way back onto her feet, gritting her teeth to mask her winces as she tried to reposition herself into a grappling stance. She displayed much more caution than before as she tried to create some distance between the two of them and regain her breathing, shuffling backward towards the ropes in a steady retreat with both hands outstretched in a defensive posture should her opponent choose to pursue her.
