Not quite War of the Roses: Aria Holt (D) vs Rebecca Owens

She had just been about to take that first step into the bulldog, when her outside arm was grabbed and twisted behind her. This would of course prevent her original plan from firing, but now she went with plan B.

She used her one arm that was still locked around her neck and now started to apply pressure. Now she was going to begin using the headlock as a choke hold.

As Aria was focused on twisting that arm, she forgot to take into account that her head is still trapped in a headlock. Letting out a pained noise of surprise, she'd use her other arm to grab hold of Rebecca's respective leg. In a moment of improvisation, she then tried lifting up her opponent in that respective fashion, making off some sort of bastardized backdrop should it land.

Rebecca was not small by any stretch of the imagination. So that fact that Aria could lift her up, even from such a weird position, was a testament to the power she had. The Redhead landed hard on her back, causing a gasp to escape her lips as she tried to escape her predicament and get back on the offensive

As she lifted up Rebecca and tipped over, sending both landing on the canvas with a thud. Her risky move of improvised desperation paid off! Curling herself up into a ball briefly, she lurched forward, performing a kip-up which set her back into standing position.

She realizes that she could've followed up on the attack, seeing as she's not in the UK anymore, and mentally curses herself on the muscle memory. Despite the setback, she would take it in stride as she up-turns the palms, extending and retracting all of the fingers, all while keeping the palm upturned in some sort of beckoning gesture.

It would not take long for Rebecca to get to her feet. As tough as they come the crimson warrior was almost impossible to keep down. She was a little curious as to why there had been no follow up but decided that was a question for later. For know, she would follow the beckons and attempt to grab Aria and the lift her in a basic body slam

Aria came forward, arms outstretched to Rebecca's as the two grabbed hold of each other's hands, before transitioning over to the standard fare collar-&-elbow lock of Professional Wrestling. After a thorough struggle between the two for dominance, Rebecca manages to come out on top, grabbing hold of Aria's shoulder and hips for the bodyslam!

The Welshwoman landed with a thud on the canvas, clutching her back for a moment and arching it with an additional groan of pain, before rolling over to her front and slamming a fist down on the mat, getting up on her feet afterwards!

It was honestly impressive just how much abuse this woman could take. Yes it was not a huge move, but still. As Aria made her way to her feet Rebecca would attempt to get in close and grab her, attempting once again to go for a fisherman buster onto her opponent before going for a pin attempt
