Personality:
Mona in-ring persona is showy and mystical, much like the stage personas of magicians or psychics. She uses her mystical arts to tell the future, acting as if she already knows her opponent’s actions and reactions and seems supremely confident in her predictions. That being said, when things don’t go according to plan, she gets flustered easily and loses her composure, leading to some rather comical breakdowns.

Outside the ring when she drops her persona, she has a lot more difficulty expressing her intentions and feelings both to others and to herself due to being painfully shy. She wears her persona to protect herself from the uncertainties of her own future, and truly wishes her powers were real so she wouldn’t have any more uncertainty in her life.

History:
Growing up in New Orleans, Mona was raised by her grandmother, who ran a small shop that sold mysterious and magical items and was a relatively well-known local psychic. Her parents were two useless deadbeats who couldn’t take care of her, which left a painful mark on Mona as she felt abandoned by her family. The influence of her grandmother is clear upon Mona, who believed in the magic that her grandmother seemed to weave. As she grew up she learned how her grandmother did the tricks of her trade, but instead of getting disillusioned she fully embraced it, learning and becoming a psychic herself.

After her grandmother passed away, she took over the small shop and ran it as best as she could. She was making a good living, however thanks to an economic downturn and the machinations of unscrupulous real estate developers she lost the shop. She fought hard to keep her grandmother’s legacy, however all she was able to keep was a few books of magic and the costume her grandmother made for her when she was ready to take over the shop.

Mona felt lost, thrown out of the only home she knew, with few demanding her talents. She moved from New Orleans to California, thinking that she could become a celebrity psychic, but she found it difficult to obtain any customers in this age of disbelief. In order to make ends meet, she took up odd jobs, doing whatever work she could find. She responded to an ad asking for pretty girls to join an erotic fighting league, hoping it would be something that would let her make a living. As it turns out, that ad was a recruitment drive for new talent for AFW.

Mona immediately caught the eye of the recruiters, especially as she came dressed in the mystic costume that she did her psychic shows. Her ring persona was immediately enticing to the recruiters, who believed that Mona would be a fantastic addition to their wrestling shows. Mona was showed a passible amount of talent during her tryouts, enough to get her signed on in the league, though nobody had any illusions about her combat talent. What the recruiters wanted was a pretty girl with a fun and unique gimmick, and that is what Mona provided!

After arriving in Japan and becoming part of the AFW, Mona also opened up a small shop close by the arena where she does fortune telling and psychic readings. She hopes that this shop would meet a better fate than her grandmother’s, as she wishes to uphold her legacy.

Appearance

Mona's costume was originally made by her grandmother as a gift for when she took over her store. Since then, Mona has made her own adjustments, making the outfit sexier and more revealing to entice customers. The one part of her outfit she has not made any changes to is her hat, which she keeps in memory of her grandmother.

Note that her attire comes in several pieces that she mixes and matches. The two main components are a long black bodystocking that she uses as underwear, and a purple leotard she wears on top. She accessorizes with a short cape and her grandmother's hat, but she does not fight in them, taking them off before her matches.

She can also fight wearing just the bodystocking or just the leotard.
