Strategy: Kaitlyn prefers to keep things grounded. While a more than capable nimble striker, her strong roots are based in a long history of competitive amateur wrestling and mixed martial arts. As a take down artist, her potential shines most when fights are brought to the mat where she can relentlessly stick to her opponents and wear them down to the point of exhaustion with chain style wrestling, simple submission holds, and exploitative body shots. In matches that allow for it, she has no qualms with making use of close contact to get more familiar with her foes, especially if she can make use of that to gain an advantage. To this point, on her own she comes across as being hyper competitive, doing just about anything to secure an upper hand outside of full on cheating.

When in the company of her girlfriend Amelia though, much of her competitive nature is dialed back strictly to have fun. She will forgo much of her safer and more effective offense to make use of larger more reckless attacks to ramp up the stakes and leave wider gaps in her own defenses for her opponents to exploit. She knows that her better half thrills off of her dominating the competition just as much as she likes seeing Kaitlyn be taken to task, so either result brings her great satisfaction. To this end, her care of securing a victory matter far less, taking a back seat to catering to her and Amelia's enjoyment of the experience for one another.

Personality: Kaitlyn isn’t shy to say what is on her mind, more often than not wearing her emotions on her sleeve. Easily described as "spunky" Kaitlyn is a naturally expressive girl who tend to over exaggerate often and speak through use of large sweeping gestures. She carries with her an explosive reserve of energy that she tends to focus on staying active. Going on runs, working out, cartwheeling around her apartment to the chagrin of her girlfriend and her more expensive tastes. When all is said and done though, she pours most of her energy into one thing and that is her relationship with her high school sweetheart Amelia. When she isn’t hanging off her girlfriend, she is scouting potential competitors for the duo, as a challenge or a conquest. While a bit more subdued on her own, in the company of Amelia is far more wild and brazen. She knows her better half can pick up the slack… or enjoy watching the consequences of what happens when she gets careless.

History:

Life is hard at school being the new kid. People give you odd looks. You don’t know where to sit at lunch time, and you haven’t got any friends. The move to California had been especially rough after her parents split and they moved across the country. She was always a tough girl, learning how to look out for herself though. An only child with a parent who worked long hours it fell on her shoulders to pick up where her mother had left a hole in the family. Tending the house, cooking, shopping, all the “fun” stuff kids like to do. Thankfully for Kaitlyn, she always had an abundance of energy and was eager to help her dad out, especially when he was feeling run down.

She was content to be the odd quirky girl that most people didn’t know how to talk to. Always inquisitive, always willing to do dumb things for a dare just to impress people. Then she met the coolest girl in the school. Well, coolest in her eyes. Another person who stood out and didn’t seem to fit any one place. Her name was Amelia, from one grade up from her. In all the smart kid classes, but she looked like she was ready to cast hexes on people or something.

She happened upon some kids picking on her one day. They had stolen a notebook and refused to give it back. So like any reasonable young kid, Kaitlyn stepped in to help mediate by sucker punching one if the kids in the back of the head. It seemed like a good idea at the time, until all his friends showed up and beat the snot out of her. After the smoke settled, Amelia was there to help her up. Even thanked her for getting her book back, even if what she did was dumb and reckless… and would also land in her after school detention for the next week.

After that though, she didn’t care so much about the looks, and always had a spot to sit at lunch near Amelia, even if the other girl was adamant about being left alone to brood or whatever. Kaitlyn would ramble on and just talk to her new friend on and on, since this was really the only time she got to see her each day. Eventually, Amelia started talking to, and they started to hang out after school. By high school they had become official, an inseparable pair.

While Amelia continued to focus on her academics, Kaitlyn instead focused on her own strengths and joined the school’s wrestling team. The first year was rough, especially rough, but funny enough Amelia always showed up to her wrestling meets and always seemed happy even after Kaitlyn lost. She never really put too much thought on just how cuddly she would get after those wrestling meets, though in later years the two came to know and understand why.

When Amelia eventually went off to college, Kaitlyn spent her entire senior year working extra hard. Buckling down on her studies to get her grades up, performing better for the wrestling team to earn accolades, and chatting with Amelia every night. She convinced her girlfriend to take up wrestling as well, and both of them pursued it on their own time, taking videos and emailing them to one another to enjoy them in their own intimate way. Kaitlyn’s hard work would eventually pay off when she landed a full ride scholarship to wrestle at the college Amelia attended and they were reunited.

By the time they both finished up university, their hobby had become something of an obsession and both women looked into furthering their desires in a more acceptable setting. After a bit of time spent training, mostly with one another, the Sweethearts were ready to take on AFW. Win, lose, or draw, they knew it was going to be a good time.

Fun Facts:

Group Play: Kaitlyn and Amelia both enjoy adding other partners to the mix in the ring, having a particular delight in watching one another either dominate other competitors or be dominated themselves. They are not above giving potential foes tips for exploiting one another’s weaknesses, suggesting ways to please them, or even lending a helping hand to get their partner put into compromising positions. This dynamic is solely for the ring however, as both women have agreed to keep things professional and only focus on their own relationship outside of work obligations.

Key to Her Heart: Kaitlyn wears a heart shaped locket to which only Amelia has the key for. No one but the two of them know what is inside of it. This never leaves Kaitlyn's side and she can always be seen wearing it.

Broken Home: Kaitlyn’s parents were for a long time in a loveless marriage, dedicated to trying to stay together strictly for the benefit of raising their daughter. This amounted to numerous fights around the house and a general hostility in the air that made much of her childhood miserable. Her parents would eventually divorce and she would go on to move to California with her father. This upbringing is one of the defining factors to why she holds her own relationship with Amelia so dearly and would never do anything to betray it.
