Personality:  Xiulang is a dilligent and dedicated woman. She finds her center in the middle of the fray or in the practice of martial arts, and she uses that peace of mind to strategize. Likes thinking things twice before acting and that is maybe why she can be deemed as timid or introvert, but she is just searching for the more correct thing to say. When she isn't training she would attend to her plants. All her hobbies are designed to bring her quietness and calm since she isn't the loud of partying type. Concerning others she is well-spoken and polite. When she opens to others she can be quite friendly and even flirty, but only after her partner opens the way.

Background: Xiulang was born in a rural but big population in China, the only daughter of a shop owner and a seamstress. Both her parents were modest, hard-workers so she was firmly but caringly educated in that way of life. Be humble, but do always your best. If you cannot say something to make a situation advance, don’t say a thing. Be always the best person you can be. Those were the principles in which Xiuland built her psyche.

But as she was growing up, Xiulang's parents started worrying about their daughter inheriting their business because the young woman started showing more interest in certain aspects of her heritage. With time she got closer to her grandfather, who had been a master of martial arts when he was young to the point of owning a dojo and having some renown as sifu. Hearing the stories of her grandfather and his pupils made her eyes shine with excitement and when she reached 12 years old she asked her granfather to train her.

At first the training regime was hard for both grandparent and granddaughter, but with time Xiulang's body acclimated to the harshness of training and martial arts and everything became easier for her. It turned out the young Xiulang loved the energy flow and the peace of mind she could achieve while practicing martial arts and as years passed she devoted to that craft. At first her parents frowned upon that and tried to prevent her grandfather from teaching her anymore, but when they saw how passionately she trained they stopped fighting Xiulang's wishes.

Years passed and Xiulang kept helping her parents in their business while also travelling around China competing in several tournaments, performing with a more than decent set of skills and earning her grandfather's approval anytime she took part in a fight. The flow of time went on and eventually Xiulang's grandfather and sifu passed away peacefully. At that time Xiulang reflected on everything she had learnt from him and remembered his only regret: in all his years of fighting he never stepped out of China. Wanting to honor her grandfather wish she set course to Japan, where she would bring honor to the Zheng family name and her sifu.
