Strategy: There isn’t anywhere you can go, not a single place you can hide, he will find you and throw himself at you like a cannonball. A high energy high flyer known throughout his run in the indie circuit as a daredevil aerialist with a deathwish. So far he has come away from most encounters relatively unscathed, mostly due in part to just how adaptable he is to his environment.

If he isn’t taking to the ropes, Fin dips into his bag of traditional wrestling moves or locking opponents down for lifts and power slams. While he isn’t all business all the time in the ring, he has a zero tolerance policy for cheaters and won’t hesitate to turn their tactics or weapons on them to even the odds.

Personality:

Fin has been described as unapologetically himself by acquaintances in the past. He has an understanding of who he is and what he likes, and doesn’t venture far from those things. While he can be brought around to trying new things, it is an uphill battle if his interests don’t lean towards them. To people unaccustomed to being around him, his casual dismissal of activities or get-togethers that don’t tickle his fancy can seem rather blunt. His justification tends to boil down to “This is how I am, take it or leave it.”

He doesn’t feel any real attachment to people who haven’t earned his truth or respect. While capable of being empathetic, his life difficulties have given him a hardened outlook of people needing to deal with their own business and not rely on others most of the time. While still willing to help someone in need, he draws a line between giving aid and bailing someone out. One of the only exceptions to this would be dealing with bullies. Regardless of how they manifest, he will go out of his way to confront most bullies and give them a taste of their own medicine. Those unwilling to reform will catch hell from him inside or outside of the ring.

While he is more than willing to share his current day situation or hobbies with others, he doesn’t care to talk much about the past. Fin holds firm to the fact he is who he is despite his upbringing rather than because of it. He won’t glorify his hardship or make reference to it to get a one up on someone in an argument, preferring to give no justification to his stance over sharing bits of his childhood.

History:

Bullies are nothing new. Inside of school, kids were always picking on one another. Not him though. Fin found himself left alone regardless if he was buried in books or at the lunch table. The bully he faced would show up at his doorstep every night and wanted to be called “Dad”. His father was a hard man who worked for low wages and long hours to provide for his family. It was a shame that this support tended to stop at the money though.

A terror of the household, coming home late and oftentimes after hitting up the bar first, yelling was an everyday happening. Sometimes when Fin and his mother were unlucky, things would turn worse. Staying at an aunt’s house with his mother for a few days a month wasn’t uncommon, giving his father time to “cool off” his mother would say. This continued until Fin hit his teens and inevitably started to clash verbally and physically with his old man.

Fin receiving a broken arm from one such encounter had been the final straw needed to wake his mother up to the truth of how dangerous the marriage had become for the two of them, so she initiated a divoice, trading fights at home for fights in courthouses. A long and messy affair that inevitably saw her and Fin free from his father’s gasp.

It had been enough to spur Fin on to actually study up on how to fight. What started as junior karate classes would turn into judo and later into a broader MMA training of several styles. He took to it all naturally, throwing himself into it nearly full on, driven by pent up rage and a building want for revenge for himself and his mother.

This would eventually come to a head his final year of high school when he met his father outside of a bar he frequented. The fight that ensued was a desperate affair which left Fin bloodied and his father  in the ICU. The incident was never really reported nor did his father ever try to make contact with either of them again after that. The message had been sent.

Free from the shackles of what used to weigh on him, Fin broadened his horizons with his training and began to compete… only to find without his old sense of drive, MMA didn’t cut it. Long camps before actual fights and all that downtime was boring. There wasn’t really any thrill in the build up for him. So he turned to other combat sports. Briefly trying his hand at boxing before settling on professional wrestling. Here he learned how to make use of the space of the ring, finding a love for off the rope feats of daring and aerial flips. What he found lacking from other combat sports it turned out was a degree of flare and showmanship. So he found his new passion and trained his heart out.

After a widely successful run on the independent scene, Tension approached with an offer. After a bit of negotiating, he managed to land himself a free agent contract with the company to test the waters a bit. He idn’t really sure about this whole intergender wrestling thing, but he figured if the crowds are loud and the money is good, why not?

Fun Facts:

Bust a Move: While not an avid gamer, he has a soft spot for DDR from his high school days. He will sometimes hit the arcades to try and net himself a high score or bust out his heavy duty dance pad at home with his music loaded Stepmania. Since coming to Japan he has been getting into Dancerush… very addicting.
Is This Your Card?: A hobby of messing with cards turned into a love of cardistry that has won Fin some awards to his name. While it does little to help in his chosen career path he finds it calming.  It's a fun little thing to whip out at parties.
Bully Basher: An intense hatred for people who use their size or influence to take advantage of people. Not only will he throw down with bullies, but he will go out of his way to give them a taste of their own medicine.
