Showdown '19: White Gale (C) vs Akamatsu Siblings: Tension Tag Team Title Match

The sudden pull back came as a surprise to Lina, but she would be pleased by the result of it, seeing Makie become grounded from it. Lina didn't need to say anything verbally, knowing Sion wasn't one to not follow up on a situation such as that. She watched in approval as she saw Sion drive his knee into Makie's thigh. "That's it Sion, stay on her."

Daisuke watched from her spot in the team's corner. As she watched Makie react to having Sion's knee land on her, she saw Sion following and reaching to grab the leg again, with the intent to execute another spinning toe hold in attempt to slow Makie down.

Makie was wincing hard now. That elbow drop still stung. She knew what Sion was doing: by hurting her leg, he was reducing her speed and neutralizing her speed advantage. As a high flying striker, this would work against her in the long run. She could not let him get another hit in on her leg.

The moment Sion grabbed for her leg again, Makie sprang into action, trying to grab for one of his wrists. If she managed that, then she would try to pull him forwards-- right into a kick from her free leg into his face!

It was the right idea, though Makie grabbing one of his to pull him into a high kick wasn't the result he had wanted, and it sent him back to the ropes, a bit farther than it should have. Lina looked a bit concerned by that as to her it didn't seem like something that should have sent him back that far. A few feet or maybe down for sure, but against the ropes looking a bit dazed from it, either Makie critted on that or something was wrong with him that she didn't know about before the match began.

In reality, Sion could have put the breaks on before getting near the ropes, he let the momentum continue to carry him towards them. As he leaned against them, he could still feel the impact from Makie's foot from a few seconds ago. It wasn't pleasing, but he wanted to make it look like Makie did more damage than she did in order to bait her in to taking a run, or at least come at him, where he would look to back drop her over the top rope and to the floor.

Makie felt the impact of her boot against Sion's head go up her knee, and she watched in satisfaction as the blow sent her opponent stumbling back into the ropes in a daze. Flipping back up to her feet, she pumped a fist into the air, and with an exuberant "YEAH!" to get her fans going, she ran to the opposite ropes, bouncing off of them, and rebounded towards Sion, ready to nail him with a with a running bicycle kick!

A kick which, to Makie's shock, went through empty air before getting entangled in the ropes as Sion suddenly dodged out of the way. "What--" she gasped, before Sion tugged on the ropes, flipping her over the ropes and sending her plummeting to the ring floor! She crashed back-first into the ring floor, a silent scream of pain erupting from her mouth as she rolled onto her side, clutching her back...

'That little sneak' Lina commented to herself with a grin upon seeing Sion bait Makie in and causing her to end up on the outside. Lina focused her attention on Makie as she heard the referee putting a count on Makie for being outside the ring. If Makie managed to pull her self back to her feet and turn towards the ring to re-enter in order to avoid the countout, Lina would wonder why Sion's not following up. She'd get her answer as soon as she looked back towards the inside of the ring and sees Sion's feet leave the canvas as he slingshotted himself over the ropes in attempt to take Makie back down again with a slingshot corkscrew plancha.

Gingerly, Makie rolled over onto her hands and knees and started to push herself up. Her back was throbbing with pain from where she had impacted the floor, and she gritted her teeth, knowing that this was NOT a good way to start the match. She had let her guard down around a foe as skilled as Sion, and now she was on a serious back foot because of it.

With a curse, she pushed herself to her feet...just in time to see Sion's legs swinging at her. Gasping, she brought her arms up to block barely in the nick of time, and cried out a little as Sion's kick hammered against her forearms, sending pain lancing up them. The blow was still enough to blow her off her feet, sending her tumbling down to her butt and rolling on the floor, trying to get back up again...

What came as a surprised to both Lina and Daisuke ended up becoming mood enhancers. Makie had the right right with Sion flying and towards her, but he was still able to take her back down, rolling off her after she landed on ground and back to his feet. Whether you were for his team or Makie's, it was an impressive sight that both those directly on his side and the fans of both noted.

Sion could hear the crowd's reaction to the high risk move and its payoff, but he knew it would take more than some fast flipping stuff to win. Staying on her, Sion would grab hold of Maki and send her under the bottom rope and back into the ring. Quickly sliding in behind her he would move to pull her back up and quickly execute a snap suplex with a float-over transition into a pin.

Makie was breathing hard now as she began to push herself back upright. She was taking a beating right now, and while it wasn't so bad that she couldn't fight back, she was still on a severe back foot against Sion. Already, she could feel the man grabbing by the arm and hoisting her back up, before rolling her smaller frame under the ropes. SHaking her head, she tried to push herself up...only to find that Sion was already pulling her up, sliding his arms under her armpit and thigh for a suplex.

SHe only had time to drive an elbow hard into her foe's shoulder. It wasn't enough: with a yelp, Makie was flipped head over heels onto her back with a crash. Groaning, she felt Sion's weight on top of her. It was early in the match, though, ans she still had the presence of mind to twist and get a shoulder up at the count of one.

Lina looked surprised to see Sion try for a pin at this point in the bout, but she wasn't against it. As long as he didn't waste time after the kickout, which Sion grabbed hold of Makie again after the count stopped and took her to his team's corner, pressing his shoulder against her as he tagged into Daisuke. Daisuke was ready to go and stepped inside. Sion her the referee tell him to get the action of the corner after calling the tag. He stepped back from it, but in the process he would short range irish whip Makie into Daisuke, who was in position to catch her and take Makie over with a belly to belly suplex.

Makie managed to kick out in time, breaking the pin early. "Gettoff!" she growled as she rolled onto her front. Her back was still throbbing a little, though, from her impact outside, She wasn't even able to roll far, however, before Sion yanked her up, stumbling, to her feet. She groaned, and found herself being pushed over to the corner, Sion pressing his shoulder against her for...something?

Her question was soon answered as Sion tagged Daisuke, before whipping her across the ring towards his tag partner. Makie didn't even have time to counter before Daisuke wrapped her arms around her waist-- there was a brief moment of Daisuke's impressive body pressing against Makie's before she arched back, slamming her back-first into the mat! Makie cried out in pain, arching off the mat as she flopped onto her side, having been nailed by the second suplex in the space of a few minutes.

The Akamatsus' fans were getting apprehensive now, as was Kyo. The match was barely a few minutes old, and already, Makie was in deep trouble.
