Seraphim and Masane: Old wounds

Moving on was a difficult thing for Seraphim, as she was often the kind of person who lived too much in the scars of her past. And even though this was one where she didn't actually get hurt, and instead brutally harmed another person, it still felt painful to her in its own way. Even as Masane tried to tell her to move on, it still became difficult for her, yet she nodded at Masane anyway, trying not to fret so much over it. "...So, even after what I did to you, you're able to look past it? After that, you can just... forgive that easy?" Seraphim truly meant that as a question, disbelief poured in her words, but also a sound of being deeply impressed, knowing she could never get over something that easily. She leaned herself a bit towards the punching bag, still feeling a little tired after the grueling work out she put herself through, but still looked at Masane with a different sort of outlook then what they had before. There was no hate or anger, no desire to hurt her, it wasn't the cruel Seraphim that Masane had crossed paths with before. She looked regretful and earnest with her apology, wishing there was just something she could do to make it up to the girl rather than just simply being forgiven.

Masane nodded in response. "Life's too short to hold a grudge, if you can help it..." She replied. "So long as you truly regret what you have done, I find that to be enough to forgive most of the time. There are those that mock this view, but honestly, I could care less about what they think. It's my life, not theirs." She explained. "You really were working hard at that punching bag... why? I've never brought myself to the point where I was bleeding on the thing.

Seraphim found herself murmering under her breath, briefly thinking about her own state with a slow sigh, nodding again to show her sense of understanding. She liked how Masane took a look at the bigger picture like that too, having that carefree attitude and not letting other people's opinions bother her like some did. It wasn't a big problem of Seraphim's but there ere some times she was too consciousess about how others thought of her, often paranoid and untrusting too many because of this. She wanted to thank Masane because of this, starting to feel like she was really forgiven then, calmed down now before she looked at the punching back, and then at her own knuckles.

"...Stress mostly. When my emotions conflict with me, I tend to resolve it with anger. And no person deserves the punishment I delivered there." She said with the back of her thumb jutting towards the punching bag, starting to feel the craving for a cigarette all the sudden. "..Been attempting to get my organization together, and it's been tough... especially with the Era of Hell around, and just..." Her voice faded for a moment, looking down from Masane, and sighing a little, knowing she was talking to a person who was a prime example of what she was saying. "...Just.. trying to amend for some mistakes too."

Masane raised an eyebrow at that. "An organization? What kind?" She asked. She was kind of surprised really. She really did regret her previous actions.. a lot.

"You shouldn't burden yourself like that though. It'll only cause you to age quicker. Nothing more."

Seraphim flinched a little at that sudden question, not expeting Masane to take any interest in Seraphim's personal life with that. It gave Seraphim a small idea, but she didn't want to jump the gun. In fact, even as Masane asked, Seraphim still had doubts, but decided to look her in the eye anyway, crossing her arms in front of her modest bust and nodding a little as she spoke. "Oh... w-well, if you're really curious..." Seraphim started with that sentence, as if asking Megumi if she was sure she wanted to know, or just saing that to make Seraphim feel better, then procceeded anyway. "..To sum it up shortly, it's one to protect the league from people like the Era of Hell, malicious heels, and corruption in the AFW. It's... been getting steadily worse, and I've been wanting to help people who fell victim of it. So things like... what I.. did to you don't... happen to other people."

At first, Seraphim held a couragous and prouder tone as she explained, but when she gave their encounter as an example, that slipped a little, as Seraphim's hands rested on her curvy hips next, taking a short sigh as she still thought about it, but tried to dismiss it a little after what Masane told her in how she forgave her.

Masane blinked a little. "...You started an organization to defend against Era of Hell?" She asked, a bit surprised. She stared at her for a moment, and then started to smile.

"That would make you the leader then. That means you're making yourself a prime target. Can you really handle what might come up against you?" She asked, then started to crack her knuckles. "If you're serious about this cause... you'd have to be really strong." She stated, then started to climb up in the ring, and landed inside before looking down at her. "Fight me here. If you win, I'll join you. If you lose, we go our seperate ways."

For some reason, that smile Masane had given her made Seraphim's heart warm a bit. It was like a form of acceptance in a way to her. Even though Seraphim was a strong woman, guilt was one of the few things that knocked her down a few notches, just as Masane had seen. Overall though, seeing Masane like this made her feel a little better now, releived mostly, before Masane made an interesting comment; one Seraphim knew all to well about.

"...I'm willing to carry that burden. My friends all share with me the weight of that responsibility, but I'm going to stay strong through it all." A strong resolve came to her tone as she said that with a determined fron of her own, recalling the words of what Minerva said to her that one day about how she would try to help her bare this kind of task. She knew now... she wasn't alone, and that was one of the biggest things that made Seraphim into who she was today.

As Masane made an offer though, she was actually a bit shocked, but certainly finding her grin to grow even further, tensing her fists a little. "Heh, alright then, now that is something I'll take you up on." Serpahim said with a beaming enthuisiasm. She took a moment to retrieve some white cloth, tieing it tightly around her knuckles for support, and would make her way to the ring as well, sliding between the lowest rope and the apron before sprining to her feet. Seraphim may have been tired, the girl's pale skin still coated in a fine, glistening layer of sweat, but she wasn't the type to back down from a challenge.

Garbed in her black sports bra that looked more like a small top, and her long, black, leather pants, Seraphim briefly adjusted her eyepatch, and went to her respective corner. However, she made sure to offer a bow towards the karate master first, letting her know she paid her respect, even speaking about her new resolve. "And don't worry; I'm done fighting dirty." She said with that destermined smile as her crimson eye locked on Masane's with a friendly but challenging gaze, wanting to hear if she had anything else to say before they would start.

Masane smiled as she accepted her offer, and raised her fist up into her palm and bowed in return.

"That's good to know." She replied with a chuckle, and shifted into her karate stance. "Karate versus Muay Thai... I wonder who will win.." She mused before starting to move in towards the center of the ring.

This felt... refreshing. Being able to step into a ring with no real risk of anything going wrong or injuring eachother. Just a friendly spar to measure her skill from what she's learned overtime, and to even get a chance to gain a new, strong member to her team. She had to admit, as the two stood in the ring for those few seconds before starting, Seraphim found herself just a tad jealous of the girl's body. The two were both cut and strong looking, but Masane had everything she wanted, a better skin tone over her own paler color, larger breasts over her smaller cups that just barely broke the B grade, a pair of beautiful blue eyes rather than just one, bloody red one, and a lucious tone of brown hair, instead of the white color that reminded her of the albino trains she possesed. Seraphim was often a pessemest, refusing to see her own beauty even though it was there, but Masane's seemed to come so naturally to her. ...Maybe later she'd ask her just what was her secret~

For now, Seraphim concentrated on their spar though. Lifting one leg slightly and bending her knees, Seraphim's lower portion of her body took an offensive Mauy Thai stance, and she grinned a bit. "Indeed~ But you're forgetting one key thing-" Seraphim said with a growing smile and holding high expectations. Her fists then closed tightly, and she held them defensively to her face and gut, resembling a defensive boxer, proffesional in every way, like two fighters joined at the hip. "-I'm a boxer too."

Masane smirked a little at Seraphim's stance, and nods a little before she starts to shuffle in towards her, and motions Seraphim on, ready to see what she could do. Masane was not going to pull any punches, and would try her hardest to send Seraphim down for the count. Then again, that's what she hoped Seraphim would expect from her: Nothing but her best efforts.
