Chloe Ruiz Vs. Kira Ito - Submission Debut

It had been a while since she had last been in the ring, a few weeks maybe months actually. Chloe would smile as she stood at the Gorilla position, she wore her tight fitting one piece attire, black with yellow highlights. one long sleeve glove on her left arm, a pair of black and yellow boots. Bouncing a little on her feet, Chloe would make sure she was ready and fit for this match. From what she had heard it was supposed to be a match against a newcomer...

Which would without a doubt be an enjoyable experience for Chloe. Though, she wasn't foolish enough to think that a newcomer couldn't be skilled. After all, when she was a newcomer she was skilled! Chloe stepped out onto the ramp, as her music started to play. She would walk down the ramp as the crowd threw a mixture of cheers and jeers for the Eradicator.

Chloe would wave her arms, trying to spur them on to just increase in volume. Make it all louder, which to the credit of the crowd they did. When she rolled into the ring, Chloe would do a quick run to the ropes, bouncing off of them to the other rope and then doing the same a few times, making her blood pump a bit as she soon settled into her corner, where she would wait for this newcomer!

This was it. Years of being stuck in theory, running through amateur sparring and training had finally afforded the opportunity to put that theory into practice. The thrill of this prospect was almost overwhelming but coach had always stressed keeping a cool head. Although Kira had private reservations about the extent of that advice. Why couldn't she feel hype when she was doing well? Firing up to keep herself going or anger to get herself back in the game? It was frustrating to keep reminding herself to stay calm. Why couldn't she just--No, she needed honor her teacher. That's just what she was going to prove in this fight.

Cue her music. Dressed in her white shirt, black shorts and gloves but green boots, she didn't really have a theme going for but she Emerged out onto the ramp, regardless. Kira kept her a steady glare ahead at the ring and approached at a brisk pace. Her opponent was out there awaiting her. Clearly, she wasn't going to underestimate any opponent, let alone one that has experience already. Additionally, all of Kira's submission maneuvers were hastily learned after her initiation into the league. It was technically a less than ideal matchup but Kira didn't care for her short-comings and had to think on her strengths. This match would provide a good level to gauge those levels.

Reaching the ring, she climbed up the side and slid inside the squared circle with a rather simple procedure. No flash or flare. Part of that was her own internal conflict to keep a steady head but another part of that was serious nerves that were creeping in. On stage in front of so many people had certainly made her timid. In an attempt to loosen up, she hopped between her right and left foot, loosening her shoulders in a stance very reminiscent of a boxer shuffle. She didn't have words, not yet anyway. She wasn't quite sure how to banter, honestly.

Looking up at the ramp, Chloe would see the visage of her opponent. A bit surprised by her choice of attire, it was quite simple, like something one would wear when going to the gym, more so than a wrestling match. Though Chloe wasn't someone who could complain, her own attire was a rather simple one as well.

Rolling her head on her shoulders, Chloe would start to bounce a bit on her feet as she would wait for Kira to make her way into the ring, without much fanfare the raven haired girl went up into the ring and got herself ready. Chloe would walk up to te center of the ring with one hand on her hip.

" Hope you're ready there chica~....try and last longer than five minutes, okay?" Chloe said with a cocky smile on her face as she would then gesture for her to come towards her, waiting for the bell to ring as the Brazilian would then drop down into a grappling stance, looking as if she wanted to start this match off with a standard grappling contest, a collar and elbow tie up.

Kira halted her warmup as her opponent spoke. She pressed her lips together, at least at first, to try and suppress her desire to verbally fire back. Again, she was supposed to strive to be better than that. Unfortunately, her temperament was quite well suited for that. Even that small amount of discrediting Kira was enough to draw out a bit of her temper.

"You're going to regret underestimating me like that." Kira spat just before, she too, approached the center of the ring in, squatting down in a grappling stance. She was ready to test her valor and strength, certainly by not backing down from this clear challenge.

As soon as the bell would chime, Kira would make the first attempt, locking up with her opponent and simply try to force Chloe to backpeddle with strength. A simple approach in trying to prove herself.

Hearing her opponent spit back like that meant that she had a bit of a bite to her, which wasn't too bad. Could be fun, especially if she had the ability to back that up, smirking as she watched Kira approach the center of the ring and squatting down into that grappling stance of hers.

Chloe would do the same, as she watched her move up towards her, the bell rang and the two of them would lock up! Pressing into one another, the Latina releasing a soft grunt as she pressed against Kira, digging her feet into the canvas to brace herself against her foe.

Chloe felt how her back foot slid back a little, and inch or so...before she tried to adjust herself and bring that foot forward to press firmly against Kira, trying to take a full step forward and aimed to push Kira back instead!

Through gritted teeth, Kira hissed exhaling from the exertion as she managed to force her opponent back. Yet what little ground she gained, she couldn't on to finding that her opponent was quick to plant herself and push back. Suddenly, Kira found herself forced back a step. She'd try to plant her feet and rally her strength but she felt she was losing as her strength wasn't quite up to match.

With another forced step back, it was clear Kira was on the back foot as she was slowly put on the retreat towards the ropes. A third step caused a look of concern on her face as she shot a sideward glance at first to see how close she was to the ropes but then saw the expectant faces of the crowd. She wasn't going to be made a fool of in her first match! She managed to plant her feet and rally, giving a great heave of strength to try and push back against her opponent!

Chloe smirked as she had had started to force Kira backwards, taking a step forward and seeing the change of Kira's expression...from confident to struggling and then when another step came and then another, that look had changed into concern. Now she was looking over her shoulder to see how far she was away from being forced up against the ropes.

The Brazilian felt good...until she was halted! It seemed Kira was rallying as with a mighty heave she managed to shove Chloe back a step! Then another and another! Reclaiming her lost ground. The white haired Latina would clench her teeth, " Kh...G-get real chica!" Chloe shouted out as she would try and twist them to the side! Trying to throw Kira off balance and try and throw her down onto her side on the canvas as a way to break the lock up.

Kira's stand had eventually bore fruit, her strength showing signs that she was at least on par with her opponent. Things appeared promising feeling that she was actually gaining ground with her opponent on the backfoot. One step and then a second! It was too engaging have felt this turn around and she was ready to go the distance and push Chloe back towards her side of the ring.

Of course that was only the plan. Reality (but honestly just her opponent) had other plans. Pulled into a twist, Kira stumbled to keep up as pair had their trajectory changed abruptly. It was enough from the surprise to have Kira lose her footing and fall to her side. She'd untangle and tumble but with a bit of focus she rolled right back up to her feet. "No you get real!" Kira spat back, a bit aggravated she was cheated out of a fair contest. "I'm going to win this match with you underestimating me every chance you get."

It was a fierce rally as Kira's spirit burned with energy. She didn't hesitant and charged forward, turning her body and lowering her shoulder to hopefully floor Chloe with just a frontal charge!

Chloe threw Kira down onto her side and broke the lock up between the two, feeling a bit annoyed that she was at the losing end as that happened, but she wasn't about to become a laughing stock by losing to a rookie! She would see Kira start to charge at her and would click her tongue.

Narrowing her eyes as she would try and meet the charging raven haired woman. She would wait for the right moment as Kira went for that low charge, and when she was close enough Chloe would try and step forward and raise her knee, trying to drive it right into the charging raven haired woman and attempted to floor her with a knee to the forehead!

It was important to keep wary and in spite of giving into a bit of her fury, her reckless charge wasn't totally without abandon. Prediction was one of the things her coach taught her and with her gaze naturally directed at Chloe's lower half in this position, it was easy to notice that crucial step forward by her opponent. It signaled that some lower strike was coming and it was time to react!

With her arms already huddled close to her chest, her response was quick to begin to bring those limbs up to defend her face from that rising knee. Additionally, the instinct to lift her torso had kicked with her stance straightening. It was still an awkward block from the haste but the angle of impact had the knee glance off from Kira's arms in a slight deflection. However, the reverb from the strike had knocked Kira full upright just before colliding clumsily into her opponent.

It wasn't the impact Kira had hoped for as she merely stumbled around and felt like she didn't have enough force to push away her opponent but to try and remedy that, she brought her hands down to try and shove Chloe's chest to keep her on the back foot.
