Priscilla Haynes vs Anja the Raven

Standard match

It was pretty early at the given AFW show, and the last match had ended about minute ago after the last wrestler of said match had left the arena when the lights went off and the arena got only faintly lit from the white and green lights of the emergency exits for a short amount of time.

Then red, crow shaped lights appeared to dance over the audience, the ring and the way to the ring. The seasoned fans in the crowd began to murmur and get unruly on their seats, knowing who was about to arrive in the arena soon. The titantron finally showed a flock of crows perching on an ancient willow, screaming and chattering among themselves as if they indeed wanted to herald someone.

Raven theme
Started to play while a figure finally stepped through the curtain. All the red raven lights that had strolled through the arena disappeared but one, and that one that was left illuminated Anja the Raven on her way to the ring. She entered the ring while still under the red light of the Raven while taking a short round through the ring to familiarize with it before entering a corner that was facing the entrance of the arena where she would crouch over the turnbuckle, uncaring for the audience as always.

With the last raven screech slowly fading, the arena would slowly lighten up back again and reveal her clothes, a zipper less black figure hugging top with fitting shorts and boots. Red Raven silhouettes were on the back of both her top and shorts and also at the side of her boots. Black lipstick and eye lashes painted like wings additionally added to her Raven theme, as did the gaze of a preying bird residing on her face while she eyed the entrance to see who would arrive as her opponent there soon.

Priscilla Haynes was waiting for her turn to make her entrance in the locker room, closing her eyes and crossing her arms under her chest. One might assume that she was sleeping, but she occasionally opened her eyes, looking at the backstage crew that was in charge of giving cue to those who were to fight in matches. There was a TV in the locker room, displaying her soon-to-be opponent making her entrance. Soon, it would be her turn to make her appearance.

"It's time, Haynes-san," a worker informed her, and she acknowledged the worker as she got up from her seat, making one last adjustment on her attire, which consisted of a black-and-white leotard with the image of an inverted cross on her torso, detached sleeves with the same colors as the leotard, a pair of gray gloves, dark leather long boots and a pantyhose that covered the entirety of her legs but still allowed to display their shapely figure. She also wore a dark blue cape that she would take off before the match started.

"Thank you," Priscilla said to the worker as she headed to the stage. As she walked to the entrance, her theme song, Rage Awakened, had been played while the image of abstract-looking thorny vines was displayed on the titantron. The projections of the same thorny vines could also be seen on the ramp, spreading down to the ring before they disappeared as soon as Priscilla made her appearance.

Priscilla Haynes:

The regal-looking young woman would then walk down the ramp, her expression seemed neutral. She did acknowledge the crowd with small bows and smile, but no more than that. Overall, she seemed rather reserved.

So, once she reached the ring, she would climb up the steel steps before entering the ring. With flourish, she would take off her blue cape so that she could wrestle without being restricted by the cape before handing it to the ringside worker. Now that she's in the ring, she took a good look at her opponent, noting her crow motif, which seemed rather impressive if she was to be honest.

"So... are you my opponent tonight?" Priscilla asked, smiling confidently at her opponent. "Let's see if you are just a mere scavenger or a bird of prey..." Instead of waiting at her corner, she went to the center of the ring, standing tall and proud. Whipping back her long, luxurious dark hair, she added, "There's only one way to find out, isn't it?"

Her opponent did not disappoint with her own entrance which Anja watched with a calm impression but a lot of inner curiousity. The vines and the cool demeanor kind of struck a chord in Anja, maybe because the girl did behave a little like her. She gave short nods and bows and such stuff to the crowd, but all in all she seemed to be more focused on the match than on the surroundings.

And maybe best of it all, she also had a question coming along with herself as soon as she had stepped into the center of the ring, causing the Blonde to smile just a little before jumping down in the ring to be face to face with the other girl.
"What would you prefer, the bird of prey or the scavenger? Maybe you would be surprised either way."

Priscilla looked at her opponent, Anja, her expression unchanging. A small smile still remained on her face. "Hmm... perhaps," she said after hearing Anja's response. "But, what I prefer you to be and what you actually are, these are two completely different things. Either way, this matter is irrelevant," Priscilla would circle her opponent, studying her intently. Her steps were controlled and dignified, and from what one could see, she carried herself with such pride and confidence that lesser women usually lacked. "Whether those talons of yours are for hunting down preys or tearing apart rotten cadavers, the only way to determine which is which is to see your skills and strength..." She would stand before Anja, her eyes staring into hers. "I'd prefer you to be the former than the latter..."

She would tilt her head and add, "If that's not the case, then I'd be rather... disappointed, I suppose..."

Priscilla would continue staring into Anja's eyes for quite a while until the referee came to make her step back, distancing herself from her opponent. The referee would give both wrestlers brief rundown of the rules. Then, the match would start as the bell was rang. Priscilla would assume a stance, arms held out and legs parted slightly to give herself better balance. Her eyes were primed on her opponent before she went to lock up with her. She would like to have a test of strength with her opponent to see what she's capable of.

"Cute."
Anja could barely resist to chuckle a little. A fitting answer for her own question indeed.

"Just for the record, as a Raven I can play both ways. But I will attempt to not disappoint you as you made such a long way here to join the league."
Stretching her upper torso a little bit by turning from left right while holding her elbow from either side, she would let out a small satisfied huff when she felt warmed up and ready to go.
"Ghh!"
With a small groan, she would join the lock up and wrestle with Priscilla for a favorable position in.

"That's so nice to hear..." Priscilla said, smiling as she went to lock up with Anja. She went for the standard collar-and-elbow clinch hold, using one hand to grab the back of Anja's neck and the other hand at Anja's elbow. "Hrgh!!" She grunted as she pushed forward, trying to get a favorable position from this lock up. From what she could tell, both her and Anja were evenly matched, but that would change shortly after this, the raven-haired beauty thought.

Now still at a stalemate, Priscila decided to change her tactic by planting one of her feet on the mat for better stability before she lifted her other foot, driving her knee into Anja's side, delivering a knee strike at her opponent, hoping to weaken her as well as to ensure that her opponent lost her concentration so that Priscilla could throw her down to the mat.

It was a pretty even match regarding the strength aspect, but that was not so dominant in the mind of Anja anyway. Overpowering an opponent by strength was not her strongest suit anyway. While she was thinking along, Priscilla also seemed to have plans for the match that did not necessarily match her own plans.

"UFH!"
The knee hit her in the side and seemed to heave her up a little before she crashed down on the mat and landed on her back. Shaking her head a little and waiting for a follow up, the Blonde would instead attempt to make a kip up and retaliate quickly with an arm drag on her own.

Priscilla smiled a little after successfully sending Anja down to the mat, but frowned when the blonde kipped up a moment later. Then, Anja retaliated by performing an arm drag, hooking Priscilla's arm and flipping her over onto the mat. Landing on the mat, Priscilla would take a while to recover from the impact upon being sent down onto the mat before she attempted to seize Anja's arm arm by her wrist, getting up on one knee and planting a boot on the mat before attempting to perform an arm drag of her own, trying to flip Anja over to the mat. "Haaahhh!!"

If there was one thing Priscilla was skilled the most, it was reversing her opponent's move, using her opponent's momentum against them.

"Huh?"
Landing on the mat too, Anja would make a little surprised sound after she had hit the floor before she started to roll a 360 degree spin around her own axis for a little distance between her and her countering opponent. Another one of her rather rare grins flashed over her face in such a short time, signaling everyone who knew her that this match seemed to please her very well on a personal level while she was getting up quickly.

"If you´re not only crafty but also tough, I think this will be really a fun time!"
She excitedly commented before she started to circle the other girl for half of a round in an attempt to look for an opening for an attack with the tip of her boot against the knee cap of Priscilla.

Priscilla grinned when she managed to bring her opponent down onto the mat, though it was short-lived as Anja got back on her feet, distancing herself from her, returning back to square one. Still, her grin returned when she saw one etched on Anja's face. "I assure you, if you seek for both of those, you won't be disappointed," she told Anja reassuringly as she readied herself for another clash with her.

She observed Anja circling her before her opponent charged in, as if attempting to attack. But, when Priscilla prepared herself to take the attack, Anja went to deliver a kick on her kneecap, and Priscilla immediately made sure that she didn't take full damage from the strike, though it still quite hurt and she lost her balance, causing her to almost fall down onto the mat. While she managed to straighten herself in the nick of time, she still hadn't regained her balance, which was something Anja could take advantage of!
