Ava Landry vs. Haylee Yessica - Standard Match

Ava Landry:

Ava paced as she waited for the signal to head to the ring. Every few steps she'd stop, think, and stretch out a little before resuming her pacing.

Pace. Stop. Stretch. Pace. Stop. Stretch. It was a little habit of hers, no so much nervous as excited. She had another match, to some that was just another day in the life, but the rookie was still just starting out, and so each new match was a whole new experience. When the signal to go finally did come down, Ava hustled her way down to the ramp, smiling to herself as she heard her theme start to play through the arena.

The pink haired woman emerged onto the ramp all smiles and waves, practically dancing down towards the ring with a spring in her step. The confused reaction she'd received during her first match had melted away into a much warmer reception. Most of the crowd seemed to at least acknowledge her presence, and there were even a devout few that even seemed to be fans of hers, cheering out from the front as she made her way down. She even gave a few high-fives out to the ones on her route, giving them a few words of thanks for coming out to see her.

Finally, the Canadian reached the ring and took hold of the ropes, leaping up onto the side and sliding through the upper and middle rope. She strode through the ring, hands held high as she waved out to everyone in the crowd before making her way to her corner. There she would patiently wait for her opponent to arrive, still smiling brightly to welcome them.

Haylee Yessica:

Either she had done something right in her debut match or she was just plain lucky, but much to her fortune the AFW had wasted no time before throwing another match Haylee's way.

Feeling equal amounts of excitement Haylee's waiting ritual was similar to that of her opponents in some ways, however the main focus was more on the stretching than the pacing around in excited wait. Placing one of her legs up onto the nearest piece of tall equipment she slowly bent down to make sure that she would be nice and limber for the up and coming fight, she repeated this process with the other leg until the first little section of her theme began to play, displaying her natural talent for timekeeping.

Wanting nothing more than to get this show on the road Haylee ran straight out onto the ramp and didn't stop, running down to the ring at a decent speed as she did her best to acknowledge large areas of the audience, aiming winks and positive duel points in their directions. Once again her reception was pretty decent for a rookie, but nothing spectacular, but once again, she was perfectly fine with that. It was certainly nice having the audience show appreciation for you, but when she eventually became more well known Haylee knew she would run the risk of getting more attention than she wanted, so in actuality it was nice to savour the quieter reception for the time being.

Once she reached the ring Haylee entered inside with a brief slide, rolling up to her feet before jumping on the spot a couple of times, finally getting the opportunity to see the woman which she would be fighting for the evening. "Whats up sweet stuff? Wouldn't mind losing this one would you? Not much of a fan of it myself." She explained with a confident smile and joking tone, more messing around than being serious.

Ava watched as her opponent ran down the ramp, heading straight for the ring. She wasn't familiar with this girl, so the Canadian was guessing that Haylee was also a new wrestler. Well, that suited her just fine, she was happy to meet new people, especially if they hadn't been around all that long. Rookies had to stick together, after all. She just hoped that Haylee was friendly.

Once Haylee was in the ring and done with her intro, Ava would move forwards, towards the centre of the ring. She watched her for a moment, waiting to see if she seemed like a face or a heel, but her opponent's comment pretty much answered that question for her.

Ava couldn't help herself but give a friendly little laugh at Haylee's comment, giving her opponent a happy little smile as she strode forwards, extending a hand towards the other woman. "Ava Landry, nice to meet you." She said politely. "And I'm sorry, but I'm not much of a fan of losing either." She replied, waiting for Haylee to either accept her handshake, or leave her hanging there.

For a moment when Ava strode forwards and extended her hand as a sign of sportsmanship Haylee purposefully went deadpan. Listening to how her opponent was also apparently not the biggest fan of defeat she looked straight at her with as much seriousness as she could muster. "Well..." The fellow Canadian spoke out in a very down to Earth fashion, continuing to gaze at her opponent with piercing eyes. "You know what that means..." She went on, taking in a deep breath before suddenly lunging forwards with great speed.

"It means that this is gonna be a great match! Ain't no handshaking when there should be hugging girly!" The masked wrestler sang happily as all of her previous joy and enthusiasm returned to her, her smile beaming as brightly as ever as her lunge was used to wrap her arms around her would be opponent and give her a firm yet pleasant hug, lifting her off her feet as she did so.

While joyously hugging her foe Haylee caught sight of the short referee girl, who was giving her a look of minor disapproval before she impatiently tapped the back of her wrist a few times, implying that the two were taking too long to start fighting. "Aha! Sorry there ref! We'll get to smacking each other now." Haylee laughed out, the soon to be fight doing nothing to dampen her spirits as carefully put Ava back down. "Right then! Let's do this!" She yelled in a glorious battle-cry, leaning herself down into a wrestling stance so that the two could finally start beating on each-other.
