Mari Fuuma vs. Mei-Li Zhu
Mari Fuuma vs. Mei-Li Zhu
Standard Match
Win via Pinfall, KO, or submission
Standing backstage, Mei-Li trembled with excitement over finally being scheduled for her first match. It had been over a month since she first arrived in Japan and honestly Mei was still acclimating to living here. She still could barely understand English or Japanese, beyond simple phrases, and certain nuances of city life (such as using a smart phone for things other than talking) were still talking some getting used to.
But that didn't matter now. What mattered was that she would get to fight someone. That was a setting she was comfortable and familiar with, and though she might not be able to speak through words, to her martial arts were like a universal language by which she could communicate to anyone. Well... hopefully, at least. Based on the name she was given, it seemed pretty likely her opponent would be Japanese, which was actually pretty exciting to Mei-Li. Her master had known some techniques from Japan, but as her concentration was on native Chinese martial arts it was mainly only those that were passed down to Mei. Given the historical relations between the two countries, she was eager to see the extent of how similar and how different their arts really were.
As the signal was finally given to her, Mei quickly scampered out of the locker room and off to the arena. Emerging on stage to some generic traditional-sounding Chinese music, dressed in her rather revealing green and white outfit, Mei energetically burst forth, waving happily to the cheering audience. Compared to the tiny crowds huddled in the buildings where some of her old underground fights had taken place, it was a tremendous difference of scale, but she had been taught that the basic idea was the same, as she bounced around and smiled to the horde of spectators, playing up her appeal.
Acrobatically launching herself up onto the ring canvas, then once more over the ropes, Mei-Li struck a fancy pose in the center of the ring, holding it until her music died down. Hopping over to her corner, she anxiously awaited to see what her very first opponent would be like.
Re: Mari Fuuma vs. Mei-Li Zhu
Mari's theme soon took over the speakers of the arena as the silver haired wrestler appeared on stage, dressed her usual black attire with her busty chest being barely contained by her top as she did her signature pose, crouching down and leaning to the side while stretching her arms out to the side. Her eyes immediately locked on to the woman in the ring as she was slated to be her next opponent, as obvious as that was. Mari would then start walking down the ramp, moving her large frame (and chest) rather quickly down the aisle before climbing up on the apron and climbing the turnbuckle to do the same pose.
She had heard that it was her opponent's debut match, meaning that there was a lot riding on her victory or defeat. Although she recently started too, Mari felt that she had past the stage of feeling butterflies as she hopped off of the turnbuckle and into the ring. She didn't look like much, but Mari knew better than to underestimate her opponent just yet. She needed to see what she was about first, she was smaller than her which meant power was not an issue this match but it also worked on the flip side. The smaller stature meant that she was probably a lot more faster than her, which would become a big issue if Mari couldn't get her hands on her or hit her with the heavy moves she was known for.
She also seemed a lot more brighter than the serious Mari, though she didn't think that actually meant anything important as she gave her opponent her stern look, standing in her corner as she waited for the bell to ring.

Re: Mari Fuuma vs. Mei-Li Zhu
Mei-Li watched with a bit of childish excitement at Mari's very cool appearance and entrance, extremely impressed by the looks (and bust) of the larger woman. "Ooohhhh, she must be what the Japanese call a 'ninja'!" she thought, her education lacking a bit in terms of cultural awareness. Even that aside, this woman looked to be a powerful foe and would surely provide a good fight for Mei.
Though Mari would appear rather serious, Mei still smiled at her and waved, attempting to greet her with some poorly pronounced and heavily accented Japanese < " Ha... Hallo? Naisu tuu meet youh?" > Quite aware of her poor attempt, she just grinned and secretly prayed it didn't sound offensive or something like that...

Re: Mari Fuuma vs. Mei-Li Zhu
Mari was quite puzzled to see her opponent greeting her with a wave and even more so by the badly Japanese that assaulted her ears. "Uh..." she let out, for once being stump about what to do. She wasn't exactly a nice person, but she wasn't a verbally mean one either. She did all of her ill will through the form of power bombs and body slams and it wasn't as if her opponent was out right insulting her, because she felt it did more harm to her opponent with that poor Japanese than anything else.
None the less, she decided to return the greeting. "...Nice to me you too...I guess." She responded slowly, though the last part she said at normal speed. It wasn't her fault if her opponent didn't or couldn't catch that. Once the match began, neither one of them would have to worry about conversation as Mari would be slamming her as hard as she could into the mat.

Re: Mari Fuuma vs. Mei-Li Zhu
Mei's comprehension was still pretty lacking, but it seemed as though Mari returned her greeting, and so she kept smiling. Even if they were about to fight each other, she still wanted to keep things relatively friendly and hopefully not let it get too personal between them. Very eager to get the battle started, Mei-Li energetically hopped up and down, wanting to keep her legs nice and warmed up, while inadvertently causing her breasts to bounce up and down in their skimpy coverings.
As the bell rang, Mei instantly fell into her combat stance, though the grin had yet to leave her face. Despite her excitement, she merely inched forward slowly, keeping her eyes on Mari. In part in respect for the larger woman's strength, and mostly in curiosity to see what kind of techniques she possessed, Mei kept up her defensive posture and would allow Mari to make the first move...

Re: Mari Fuuma vs. Mei-Li Zhu
Mari's eyes remained hardened as she waited for the bell ring, watching her opponent bounce up and down in excitement she guessed. That energy was going to be a problem if Mari didn't do something about, otherwise the smaller girl was going to run around her in circles. The bell rang shortly after as Mari got into her wrestling stance, moving in quickly to her opponent. She sought to try and force Mei back into the corner with her advancing presence.
If she managed to box Mei into the corner, Mari would lunge forward with her fist pulled back for a mighty punch at Mei's head.

Re: Mari Fuuma vs. Mei-Li Zhu
Mei stood her ground, refusing to back down even against her larger foe. Judging by her stance, Mari appeared to be a grappler of some kind; fitting given her powerful frame. Obviously the Chinese martial artist did not want to even bother trying to match her in terms of power, so she'd have to try and keep things on her feet.
As Mari threw a heavy punch at her head, Mei deftly sidestepped the blow. She then proceeded to counter with a hard step forward and throwing her weight into an elbow strike aimed towards the Japanese girl's midsection.

Re: Mari Fuuma vs. Mei-Li Zhu
Her suspicions were spot on as Mei dodged her powerful punch, side stepping to the side as Mari took a stumble forward, turning towards her opponent. As she did, she took an elbow to the gut. "Puhaa!" she gasped out, a little spit flying out of her mouth at that, taking a step back to cover her stomach. It was a hard counter she suffered, but not enough to stop the powerful woman.
Mari knew that if she allowed Mei to counter blow after evading her hits she wasn't going to win this fight, no matter how durable she was. Strikes weren't going to work for her this early in the match, meaning she would attempt to use her grappling talent, crouching low and lunging forward in an attempt to shoulder tackle Mei in the gut. However it was not her intent to take her to the mat and instead looked to lift Mei up over her shoulder.

Re: Mari Fuuma vs. Mei-Li Zhu
As her strike hit, a rush of adrenaline filled Mei-Li, remembering the thrill of combat she had not tasted in a while. Even if she had been training diligently in between all of her acclimation to the local culture, there was nothing like having a real opponent here in front of over.
Unfortunately for her, in her excitement, she let her guard down for a moment, allowing Mari to close in on her. Mei instinctively tried to evade, but could not escape her foe's wide reach as she was scooped right up and slung over Mari's shoulder. "Ah waah...! Whaaaa...!" she yelped, a bit flustered at being handled in that manner.

Re: Mari Fuuma vs. Mei-Li Zhu
As Mari suspected her opponent was a good counter strike but it didn't mean she was good counter grappler as she hoisted Mei off of the mat and held her on her shoulder. With her arms tight around the girl's waist, Mari walked towards the center of the ring rather quickly. She did give her opponent praise on being quick, but she would chastise her for not knowing all of the forms needed to survive in a wrestling ring with her.
Picking up a little speed, Mari would release her hold on the waist to push Mei by her hips while falling backwards, attempting to overhead back drop Mei on to the mat after a twisty turn in the air.
