Wild Thing vs Alouette LeBeau, the Giant - Hardcore Match

"And introducing... The Giant! Alouette LeBeau!"

Alouette's music hit as she stepped onto the ramp, her jacket dangling from her shoulders, casting an even more imposing silhouette around her already imposing figure. She remained still, looking back and forth, sizing up the arena and taking in the wild reaction from the audience. Finally, she began her slow march to the ring, her face stoic. Handing her jacket to an official, she climbed the steps and climbed under the ropes, stepping into the ring and moving to the middle. She took a deep breath, crossing her arms across her chest to stretch her muscled form.

Her debut booking at AFW was a hardcore match. She assumed she must have made quite the impression on the AFW staff when she arrived. A few weapons had been stashed around the perimeter of the ring, and Alouette paid them no mind. She seldom needed a weapon to beat down an opponent.

Alouette raised one powerful hand in the air, clenching the fingers together slowly into a fist, garnering a few roars of approval from the crowd (She was new to the AFW audience but rare was the wrestling audience that could not muster some enthusiasm for an impressive physique.) before stepping into her corner and awaiting her foe. She knew nothing but her nom de guerre: "Wild Thing." Alouette steeled herself. In wrestling, names like those were earned and in a match with no rules, the Wild Thing would surely approach this match as though she had the advantage. As far as Alouette was concerned, against anyone else, that might have been true, but Alouette intended to demonstrate that this was HER ring, and she intended to demonstrate that in a very, very painful lesson to her opponent.

Finally. A hardcore match.

Lore understood the purpose behind rules, why humans used them so much for these matches - things needed a structure, something to protect them from the chaos. If every opponent was allowed to do as she pleased, the matches would growing tiring quite quickly; it was just boil down to whoever was willing to use a dirty trick, first. So she didn't begrudge them their penalities, their rules, their limitations.

But she didn't like them, either. They were stifling. Cumbersome. And for someone like her, who'd experienced an unbound life, that was unacceptable. In the wild, nature ruled. There was only the strong and the weak, the hunted and the hunters. The meal never went to whoever abided by the law, but to whomever made the kill and held onto it.

This hardcore match was as close as she could ever come to that - a fight with nothing to hold her back Pure freedom.

She was big. The tallest woman Lore had ever seen, by far. Strong. Sturdy. And from the look on her face, quite confident, with good reason to be. She was easily twice Lore's weight, with a bit more on the side. Lore already knew - with this setup, and these weapons, she was in for a brutal, viscious fight.

Good. It had been far, far too long.

Alouette remained stoic as Lore entered the ring. Not a hint of fear, apprehension, or any of the myriad emotions Alouette tended to inspire in her opponents appeared behind those eyes, even though she was short and lean even by normal standards. "Hmph." The giant scoffed, giving her foe a wan smile. This could be interesting. If nothing else, the Wild Thing would be interesting... "Bon courage." She wished her opponent good luck.

Lore had no idea what the giant said. Was that French? Something about courage?

She figured it wasn't important - all that mattered was the tingle rushing up her spine, the ache for a tough fight, the promise of real, hard combat. If she couldn't get that sort of fight from a giant like this, she couldn't get it, anyway. Every atom in her body was calling for it, and when the bell rang, she sprung forth like a released spring, darting forward without a hint of hesitation.

She closed the distance in almost an instant and leaped forward, shooting at the giant's knee with a hard tackle.

The energy radiating off Lore was palpable. The Wild Thing was as ready for a real fight as the Giant was. The bell had barely sounded before the feral girl launched herself, like a rubber band pulled taut and loosed suddenly. Alouette barely had time to plant herself and go low. Lore collided with her knee, but if she thought she was simply going to chop down a redwood, she should have brought a chainsaw. Alouette grimaced but held fast, shifting her weight so the leg gave enough to slow Lore but not enough to topple the Giant, one of Alouette's arms barely grazed Lore's shoulder, too slow to catch her.

Still, she came close. Alouette slid her foot back before she found the footing to try to swing a fist down to retaliate. If Lore stayed flexible and moved quick she could capitalize before Alouette made her regret closing the distance.

As expected the giant was every bit as strong as she looked - and possibly more. She barely budged at the tackle, and was ready to retaliate, as her massive fist swung like a guillotine, looking ready to slice Lore in half, her tremendous power seemed to make the very air around her quack as she moved.

But strength was worth little without the ability to land a hit, and Lore was, fortunately, quite quick - she rolled to the side, avoiding the blow and all the pain it would have surely brought. Landing on her back, she swung her foot up and tried to catch the giant in her chin before she could pull back up, rocking her with a steady kick to the head.

Lore was fast. Extremely so, far more than Alouette expected for the girl's size. The Wild Thing rolled away from Alouette's blow. Her lips curling in a snarl, Alouette made to press the advantage while the girl was on her back.

But Lore was not really so helpless. The kick clocked Alouette in the head. The skull was not really a part of the body you could train, and, though Alouette was tough, that hurt. She reeled, clutching her jaw. Stepping back, she tried to create some distance between her and Lore, to give her a second to recover. "Aie..." She hissed in pain.

When the prey moves back, you press forward. There are no pacts. No bells. No rules. There's only the fight.

Lore leaped back to her feet and crouched down, going into her pouncing stance - knees bents, palms flat on the floor, toes curled, heel ready to spring. She burst forth in the next moment like a bullet from a gun, jumping straight for the giant's knee - the same one she attacked at the start of the fight. This time, she rolled with the momentum and used it to throw and elbow right into the kneecap, hard bone connected with hard bone for audible crack.

Alouette had retreated mostly to give her some space to see Lore coming, and it still was not enough. She leaped with frightful speed in perfect balance in her awkward low stance. She was tough to track and tougher to hit.

The elbow struck true. On the faintest instinct, Alouette had lifted her leg to try to block a low strike but her leg WAS the target. The smack of the elbow was enough to topple the giant, knocking her down to a kneeling position. She hissed in pain as she tried to regain her balance.

If there was one thing Lore had learned, one thing she found to always hold constant, it was that it didn't matter how strong something was, how tough it was, how well-built it was - if you hit something hard enough, enough times, it will break.

The giant suddenly became much shorter, as Lore's blow brought her down to a knee, perfect territory for Lore's favored followup - she jumped up, shot her legs out, and sent both of her bare feet streaking towards the giant's face, putting the full force of her legs into the drop-kick.
