Summer Splash 2024: Nekketsu Title Triple Threat Match: Dirk Lewser vs Ryan Knight vs Iris Takahashi (c)

It was all over, it was already over for Ryan at this point in the match. The Paragon was defeated moments prior and then when Iris did her finisher that was the final nail in the match for the Paragon's hopes and dreams of regaining the Nekketsu title. The ref counted it, 1, 2 and 3. She could have counted to 100 and Ryan wouldn't have budged an inch. His lights were off and he was unmoving and still, laying on the mat with a pained expression. It was a rare sight indeed to see the mighty Paragon and winner of multiple titles now at this point to be so defeated, but here it had happened. Where Ryan went from here was uncertain, save for the fact that any chance of him being in the Nekketsu scene was now clearly gone from the fallout of this......

Dirk was on his back, outside of the ring and looking up at the lights. Seemingly close to out cold. It was at that moment, Dirk quickly tried to rise to his feet-!

Upon hearing the bell, that all too familiar feeling of failure washed Dirk like a wave and he tiredly sat back down on the mat outside of the mat. His chance of victory, stolen. All because he let his guard down. Dirk placed his head in his hands and sighed a hefty sigh before sitting back and laying his back and head against the apron, in pain and upset at his shortcomings.
