Summer Splash 2024: Nekketsu Title Triple Threat Match: Dirk Lewser vs Ryan Knight vs Iris Takahashi (c)

Dirk held his ankle lock as firmly as he could on his bigger and stronger opponent for as long as he could! He hoped and he prayed that he was one step closer to victory! However, that would not be the case as the Paragon would manage to get back into the fighting spirit after some struggling.

Dirk was so focused on applying as much pain as possible with his ankle lock that he took no notice of Ryan attempting to escape the hold! Ryan would roll forward while Dirk still had a grip on his ankle, and he was quickly pulled forward against his will! Then, Dirk himself was brought unto his back by way of a surprise roll up! The referee would crouch and start counting while he struggled intensely!

To Dirk's surprise and the surprise of the crowd, Iris suddenly stopped Ryan's roll up pin by way of a double stomp! Which allowed Dirk to roll away and get a quick breather in.

But, it appears that Iris was far from done as she ran over to the apron and climbed nearby turnbuckle preparing for a big move! She quickly turned around and leapt off to give Ryan a vicious Moonsault! Dirk was sure that the Paragon had enough in tank to kick out if Iris were to follow up for a pin. So, the rookie crawled to some nearby ropes and slowly began pulling himself up and waited for his next move...

Ryan was moving from one thing to another and at a mile a minute here in this match, he had hoped to slip out a swift pin there and cinch the victory out from under Dirk's nose. Instead though his opponent was able to wrangle out of that sudden roll up pin and Ryan was about to curse at his foe before a shadow loomed over him. That being Iris nailing him with a moonsault! The Nekketsu champ's leap of faith found its mark and Ryan let out a loud groan of pain.

The ref wasted no time in trying to count for the pin just as she had with Ryan's pin attempt, Ryan groaned and felt his biceps tense up. Alright he was going to have to dig down deeper and he would give a loud yell and attempt to just outright lift and shove off Iris from his muscled frame, with the Knight rolling on his stomach and getting on his hands and knees in annoyance as sweat dripped down his body. The match had taken its toll on Ryan and he was slipping more and more by the minute.

Dirk would lean in his corner and watch as Iris would roll away from the Ryan. The match was clearly taking a toll on all three wrestlers. The audience were practically on the edge of their feet trying to figure out how this 3 way conflict would reach its conclusion.

It was then, Dirk saw his moment. The Paragon was weakened and slowly getting to his knees. That was it! The perfect chance to strike! Dirk pulled himself up and clutched the nearby ropes tightly. He gritted his teeth, his right foot began tapping quickly on the mat. The anxiety & the indecision building! He couldn't waste the opportunity!

"Errrrragh..!" With a hop, Dirk charged out of his corner and bolted for Ryan! Once he was a inch away from his target, Dirk leapt off the mat and stuck his right knee out intending to strike the kneeling Paragon to the side of his face! If it connected, Dirk would yell to the crowd before pulling Ryan's body into a decent position. Then, he would slowly and wearily climb up the nearest turnbuckle in order to get ready to land his diving headbutt finisher!

However, despite all that, the rookie took his attention away from the current champion!

Ryan attempted to get a reprieve from the fight, but it became clear that the two fighters in the match were aware that the former Nekketsu champ was a much bigger danger to either of them. The Paragon was making to get moving only to then be smacked right in the head by Dirk's knee, stunning the former champ and crumpling him into the mat. Leaving him wide open for Dirk's followup diving headbutt!

Even the legendary Paragon, with his muscled frame and powerful might and endurance reached its peak and after the diving headbutt Ryan would lay there un-moving like a fallen action figure. It was lights out for Ryan and a prime chance for either Dirk or Iris to perhaps cinch the victory as the Paragon was now out for the count and the fight!

Dirk dragged himself to the top of the turnbuckle and shook his fists to try to get the crowd on his side! It was his time! It was time for his hard work and grit to pay off! He raised his arms and cupped his hands around his mouth. Using them to enhance the volume of his voice to yell...

"FOOORR EXCELSIOR!!"

The Secret Weapon raised his arms into the sky before taking flight and intending on landing on top of The Paragon down below, with his head smacking first into the chest of his taller opponent! Upon impact, Dirk bounced off his opponent and landed nearby with his hands covering his forehead as he tried to ebb the pain of the recoil of his own attack. But, before he could quickly go for pinning Ryan, the current champion saw her own window of opportunity
and gave Dirk a superkick to his face!

The rookie was knocked unto his side, seemingly down for the count.
