Lu Zhou Yi vs. Hong Jun (Complete) - Page 2 Empty Re: Lu Zhou Yi vs. Hong Jun

Once Jun was gone, Yi took a moment to clutch her side where the punch had landed a little more solidly than she preferred, but an emotional response was not given. As Jun began to fall forward, the historian's magma eyes were looking back to see what had become of her. The time to rest was over, and Yi rolled hard to her right, just barely missing the knee to the face that would have certainly broken her nose. Her lower body pivoted around her right elbow as she brought her left leg around to a new target. With Jun on her stomach, she'd be slightly less mobile, and Yi knew to press her advantage. She'd send her knee to Jun's back, just between her shoulder blades. If the attack hit, most of the force would crush Jun between the knee and the mat, if the attack hit perfectly, Yi would manage to slide her knee along Jun's back after impact and get a second smash of her knee into the back of Jun's head.

Jun was in slight pain and the missed blow on Yi had her knee crashing against the mat. This off course damaged it and struck a slight more irritating pain, it was enough however to make Jun move once more and quickly move both knees ontothe mat and roll backwards before Yi could follow up with a counter, which she saw Yi doing but only a second too late. Jun quickly stood up on both feet, moving one hand down to rub it over her damaged knee, not taking her eyes off Yi, not even for a moment. She stood back up straight and brought one hand up to the back of her neck, lightly squeezing and massaging it before she once again got into her stance.

Yi's own knee slammed into the mat, just as Jun's had. Her's was less of a direct collision, and rather more of a forced slide, stretching her thighs into an almost complete split, further than she would have gone had she been intending to do it. One hand fell to her inner thigh, the other to the ropes to keep her steady. As Jun got up, Yi would use the ropes to help pull her to her feet. Just like her counterpart, she locked her eyes upon her opponent.

Jun watched Yi carefully and decided that she had to counter this time and buy some time to recover, she had to subdue the pain, getting back into her stance but making no move to advance. She could already tell Yi was a vicious and accurate opponent and just going in with fancy moves was not going to work, she'll have to be lightning fast if she is going to beat Yi.

" ... Interesting. "

Jun spoke softly but strictly. Her opponent was different from the rest and it was interesting for Jun to fight someone like that, who can actually hurt her.

Once she was fully standing, she again extended her right arm, palm open and facing upwards. She did not break her silence at the compliment from Jun. They'd been fighting in the ring and neither was showing a distinct amount of wear, except Yi could already feel the pounding of her heart become a little more evident with every passing block and counter. A hasty person would think to attack, to wear down the opponent's will. The historian was not a hasty person.

So close to the ropes, she went through the middle and top rope in a swift tactical retreat. She did not go far once on the other side of the ropes, stepping off of the stage and onto the unfolded table that was just outside the ring corner that Jun had been thrown back first into only moments earlier.

The historian allowed herself a smile.

Jun watched carefully... This was indeed a trap, that much was clear and Jun was not going to fall for it. It didn't take long for Jun to start walking around the ring silently, watching Yi calmly. Jun was not sure what to do from her, she could keep pacing about the ring while Yi just stood on the table. She could just jump over the ring and try to slam her right through the table she was standing on.

Still, Jun remained where she was, standing still in the middle of the ring and her arms behind her back in some sort of military stance, deciding not to be lured by what seemed to be a simply victory if she advanced..

Her legs ached, but she stood still on the table as Lady Hong kept her distance. The smile did not falter as Jun considered her options. If the woman attacked, Yi would find someway to put her through the very table she stood on, and gain an early lead. If the woman did not attack, the historian would be given time to relax, catch her breath, and soothe her pounding heart. She knew the invigorated blood flow would cause irrational decisions to be concluded, which would lose the fight even quicker... just as it had against the mechanic, Nikolette.

However, this left Yi standing on a table. If she got off the table, Jun would have the high ground. If she remained on the table and Jun did not attack, she'd just be standing on a table in a very boring fashion. Certainly the fans would not care for this stop in the action as both women considered there options, but it had to be done.

Jun decided to attack regardless if it was a trap or not but she had a different idea. She'd head to the left side of the ring and started to move down and past the upper and middle ropes, hopping out of the ring and walked past the ring, heading to the side of the table rather then jumping from the ring. Slowly walking up to Yi's side and then suddenly moved in fast and tried to send a fierce kick straight forward towards the side of the table to try and knock Yi off it.

Yi watched, slowly turning her body to face Jun as the woman left the ring and began to close on the table Yi stood upon. This was new, but not insurmountable. Jun approached, but was still too far away to make any sort of real attack on Yi directly. The soldier started to kick with great speed and Yi instantly figured the target was the table she was standing on! She'd have to commend the brilliance of this tactic later, though, as Yi herself pushed off the table just as it began to go down. The intended technique was a falling clothesline with her legs, known to many as a Wizard. Yi preferred it as it required athletic ability without requiring a great deal of strength, most of the power came from the speed of the user and the user's own weight rather than strength.

However, bounding off the table was difficult, and dropped her momentum consequently. Unless Jun found a wild dodge to get herself away from the attack, Yi's legs would collide at about Lady Hong's chest to stomach level.

Jun succesfully managed to kick The table away from Yi but didn't expect such an attack from such a position. She thought she had Yi right where she wanted her, withdrawing her leg back on teh floor but the sudden attack of Yi was enough to make Jun gasp out in pain and fall hard onto her back right on the concrete floor. Her body arched slightly for the few moments. The floor outside the right was much harder and much more painfully to fall on, growling lowly as she tried to roll away so she could collected herself once more.
