The Notice board

I kinda got the impression that the notice board doesn't always work when it comes to getting matches, is anyone finding that?

Well anyway I thought it might be because there is so many topics in it, over the course of a week I've gone through and deleted a whole load of old topics in there... I'm just gradually over time working my way through the remainder (some topics need to be archived as RPs, some need to be deleted and some will still remain). I hope that once I've finished I'll try to active the prune facility that I thought I had set on it from the beginning, this would basically mean that any topic that hasn't been posted on for 2 weeks will automatically get deleted, therefore people should post on there regularly when they want matches and other players should respond asap...

I'd also like it if we kept the notice board only for match arrangements just so that its easier (particularly for new comers) to set up matches ^_^

I agree, using the notice board for match arrangements only will probably help... i'll say i've made "improper" use of it a couple times myself *blushes*

Still, i'll admit i often use PMs instead of the notice boards when trying to arrange my matches.

It usually works fairly well for me. The trick is to be more specific than just "I want/need a match".

I like using the notice board for matches only. The i am leaving and taking a break stuff can just be put in discussion.

Though I don't really like matches being auto pruned >.< I don't really want old matches deleted unless it is a problem for you running the boards. Because the old archived matches aren't just good for rereading but I use them for research sometimes.

the prunning would only be on the notice board (in order to get rid of the numerous old requests) the idea being that sometimes its difficult to pick out match requests when there is a sea of older requests there.

When I get the time, I try to go through completed matches and archive them in the archive forums but people are completing matches quicker then I can cope with so gonna keep things how they are for now
