Match type: standard
Victory conditions: pinfall, submission, knockout, disqualification

I can feel your eyes on my nape,” Charlotte said as she finished her warm-up.
“I think you're in too much of a hurry, you should have taken care of yourself, and not taken on a new match so soon,” Victoria said with a sigh.

In fact, Charlotte understood her manager's concern. A month and a half had passed since that momentous night when she collided with the mighty Amazon at the Avalanche. For a month she had to repair her ribs, as she expected, X-rays showed that Charlotte had suffered several cracks. She had to forget about training for a month. A damn month. She thought she would go crazy during this period, however, she could not do anything about it. As soon as the doctors allowed her to return to the gym, she spent two weeks trying to regain her shape as quickly as possible. But most of all, she wanted something completely different. She wanted to return to the ring again. She couldn't refuse tonight's match.

You saw the medical report,” the pink-haired woman replied, “it says that…”
“Charlotte Ravel' is free to return to the ring, but no hardcore,” the Englishwoman finished, though she still looked worried.
Hey,” Charlotte said, taking a step forward and placing her hand on Victoria's shoulder, “I'm fine, I wouldn't risk my career if I wasn't confident in my abilities. Plus... I need it. I want to be there."

Victoria had no choice but to put her hand on Charlotte's and smile faintly. Yes, she really knew that the Frenchwoman was not reckless enough to go into battle without the confidence that she could handle it. The Englishwoman nodded, saying nothing more, she knew that Charlotte didn't like being wished for good luck. The martial artist nodded back and left the locker room. She walked along a long, dark corridor towards a loud noise.

As Victoria said, this match was a big enough step for Charlotte. Not only because it was one of the main events of the year, but also because she and Alaina showed a simply breathtaking match. Charlotte tried to spend as little time as possible on the Internet, but thanks to her manager she managed to find out that this match was highly appreciated. This was one of the reasons why she wanted to get back into the ring as quickly as possible. The martial artist stopped in front of the curtains, taking a deep breath. It's time.

Entrance Music:

Attire:

[Standard Match] Charlotte Ravel' vs Georgia Flynn - The Road Forward Is Never Easy New_mo12

Her music began and Charlotte came out from behind the curtains. She took a few steps, sending a few punches ot the air in a beat to the music, and then the woman threw up both hands in the air to greet the audience. Probably she was far from a real superstar, however, she received the love of the audience. Not only because she was able to fight on par with one of the most respected veterans, but also because of her, perhaps a little over the top, but still noble behavior in the ring. And now that she was away from injury after a damn devastating match, they were glad to see her again. The pink-haired woman couldn't help but smile as she received the applause.

Going down the ramp, the Frenchwoman did not deny some fans the pleasure of giving them several autographs and selfies. Having reached the ring, the Sand Lizard hesitated a little and then ran up the metal steps. Grabbing the top rope, the woman jumped over the ropes and landed on her feet already within the ring. An incredible sense of pleasure swept through her body as her bare feet felt the mat. She was at home. Now she was where she needed to be.

Her music was coming to an end, so Charlotte stepped into the center of the ring, the Frenchwoman took her left hand back, and her right hand vigorously raised above her head, clenching her fist. Yes, damn it, she was ready to return, she was glad to be back! After receiving a final round of applause, the Sand Lizard greeted the referee girl and then headed to her corner. Leaning her back on it, she only had to wait for her rival, with whom she had to face off today.

[Standard Match] Charlotte Ravel' vs Georgia Flynn - The Road Forward Is Never Easy Empty Re: [Standard Match] Charlotte Ravel' vs Georgia Flynn - The Road Forward Is Never Easy

Post by Old_Man_Tai Sat Apr 10, 2021 4:23 am

Well.

It was about damn time.

The Irish-American from California finished putting on her boots and shin guards, adjusting her top, excitement and eagerness filling every bit of her body, from her head down to her toes. Finally, after nearly three years, the woman in her mid-20s was finally, finally back in an AFW ring.

The last time Georgia had been in the Friction ring was at in 2018, where she had taken on a new wrestler, Sonic Knight, a quick paced back and forth where Georgia had been defeated for her second loss in the league. Apparently, it hadn't impressed the higher ups, as she hadn't been booked for a single television match since, relegated to working in the AFW's performance center, working with other rookies, or working live events for various indy leagues around Japan, one of the benefits of AFW's contracts allowing their wrestlers to wrestle anywhere else.

But finally,FINALLY she got the call she had been waiting for, and at long last had been booked into a damn match. At last, a chance to show her growing skill and ability and finally kick some booty around Friction!

At least, that's what she had thought at first...until the call continued. Apparently, her opponent, someone called "The Sand Lizard" or something like that, was a massively popular up and comer with great talent, who had recently decisively defeated Friction veteran Alaina Sanders in an intense match at the recent Avalanche pay per view, and had gotten injured in the process.

Now that she was returning, the league wanted to match her up...against someone lesser, further down the totem pole. That way, it was explained to Georgia, they could get big ratings from her return, but put her against someone she certainly wouldn't lose to or have much trouble with, and certainly wouldn't be strong enough to re-injure the woman.

That was that. Just like that, Georgia's thoughts and hope for success in AFW fell apart yet again. Despite never being given so much as a single opportunity, AFW management had given up on her, and decided that she was just some lower card jobber. This way, they could keep their "big ticket stars" match record and reputation safe with an easy win, and save her bigger efforts for when they wanted to sell ppv tickets of her facing bigger and more famous opponents.

Well...fuck that.

No offense to this "Sand Lizard" woman, she must be talented to beat Alaina the way she did...but Georgia was not about to let herself slip into obscurity and jobber status damnit! She was going to bring the fight to this woman, and show those damn upper management types just why they shouldn't overlook her!

With her music playing, Georgia charged down the ramp, sliding underneath the ring ropes and entering the ring, offering a brief wave at the crowd. The reaction she got, admittedly, was only decent at best, if even that, most of the crowd not knowing/remembering who she was.

That was fine. After tonight, they would remember who she was.

Entering the ring, clad in her purple top, pants, and boots, she stood up and looked right across the ring at her opponent, the lovely pink haired Charlotte, and nodded respectfully to her.

"Yo. I'm Georgia. You look like you can handle yourself pretty well in a match. Don't take this the wrong way, I've got nothing against you at all, but I'm going to be coming at you pretty hard alright? I've got a lot riding on making sure you stay down for the three count tonight!"

She said sternly, but respectfully. This woman wasn't her enemy after all, and had to be a hell of a fighter no doubt, but losing to her was NOT an option!

[Standard Match] Charlotte Ravel' vs Georgia Flynn - The Road Forward Is Never Easy Empty Re: [Standard Match] Charlotte Ravel' vs Georgia Flynn - The Road Forward Is Never Easy

While Charlotte waited for her new rival, she thought about a few things for a moment. More precisely, she remembered Victoria's words that she should have waited a little longer before returning to the ring. It was impossible to forget the match at the Avalanche. Broken and cracked ribs, a knocked out tooth and a broken nose a whole month were remining her of the Hell she went through in order to win. However, it was worth it. Not because the victory was valuable in itself, but because it became one step closer to the goal.

Many people do not notice this, and even more people simply ignore it, but many newcomers have been forced to exist in the shadow of more famous fighters for years. And even having talent does not mean that you will get a place in the sun. Charlotte was going to fix it. Therefore, she was going to surpass Alaina. After all, by winning the rivalry with her idol, by defeating the woman who was an unyielding authority for Charlotte, the Frenchwoman would show that this is possible. That if you are wholeheartedly devoted to your favorite work, then all paths should be open for you. Therefore, the Sand Lizard did not want to wait, she longed to return to the ring as soon as possible.

The incipient music took Charlotte out of her thoughts. The young woman turned her head to the side, watching the entrance of her today's rival. The Frenchwoman did not know anything about this woman except her name, but she did not see anything wrong with that. The martial arts master preferred to recognize her opponent during the fight. The reaction of the audience to the appearance of the brunette was not too stormy, but at least there was no negativity in the voices of people, which in itself was already a good sign.

And finally, Georgia stepped into the ring, happily waving to the audience. Now that Charlotte had a chance to look at the other woman, she blinked several times. Usually, she didn't care about the appearance of the one with whom she was going to face in battle. But now the Frenchwoman was pleasantly surprised, she had not yet had to face a woman of such an attractive appearance. If Alaina's appearance could be called outstanding, but peculiar, then Georgia's appearance could not be called anything other than beautiful. Perfectly balanced build, beautiful eyes and an expressive face. Amazing.

Charlotte had to pull herself together to start evaluating not the beauty of her rival, but her physical data. Georgia was somewhat younger than Charlotte, besides she was a little shorter and lighter than the Frenchwoman. However, judging from the experience of a martial arts master, the difference in height and weight did not always mean significant differences in capabilities. It is possible that this brunette can surprise her.

And she really did. Charlotte raised her eyebrows slightly in surprise when she heard Georgia's greeting. Was that her stage image? Overconfidence? Or she was really confident in her abilities so that it was so easy to say such loud words? The corners of Charlotte's lips lifted. Whatever the reason, she liked it. The Frenchwoman firmly believed in one thing. If you enter the ring, you must strive for victory. There is no place here for those who doubt their abilities. Doubt is tantamount to poison that will one day lead you to death. And if Georgia believed in her victory, then she already deserved some respect from Charlotte.

The martial atrs master pushed her back from the corner and headed forward. She stepped into the center of the ring, her brown eyes fixed on Georgia's. Charlotte had her own code of honor and the greeting was very important there. She saw no reason to give up her beliefs. The pink-haired woman clenched her right fist and pressed it against her straightened left palm. The Sand Lizard leaned forward, bowing to her rival.

"My name is Charlotte Ravel'," she said, straightening up, "I hope you are serious about your words because I am going to give you everything I have."

After greeting, she extended her right hand forward for a more classic handshake. She was well aware that her respectful bowing was considered by many to be too old-fashioned. But she had nothing against the usual handshake, if Georgia would accept that, of course. Ultimately, as the brunette said, there was nothing personal here. Charlotte considered herself a noble fighter and considered it a duty of honor to show due respect to her rival.

And if the handshake went smoothly, then she would have taken a few steps back in order to prepare for the start of the match and take up a fighting stance. She was going to move her right leg one step back, raise her right arm to the level of the chin, and leave her left arm at the level of the middle of the torso. Her gaze was focused, but a slight smile could still be seen on the Sand Lizard's face. She was glad. She was glad that she was able to return to the ring and she was glad that today she will face a woman like Georgia.

Hmm. A handshake. A gesture of respect. Of course she'd shake it. Sure, she felt that, for the future of her career, she absolutely had to defeat this woman and bring her down for the count, but there was never anything wrong with showing the appropriate respect.

"For what its worth, I heard you beat Alaina. That's pretty impressive, so I've no doubt you'll be a tough one to take down. I look forward to bringing out your best!" she said respectfully, as she shook The Sand Lizards hand, backing away right back to her corner after, doing some final stretches and hops as she waited for the bell to ring and officially start things off between the two women!

[Standard Match] Charlotte Ravel' vs Georgia Flynn - The Road Forward Is Never Easy Empty Re: [Standard Match] Charlotte Ravel' vs Georgia Flynn - The Road Forward Is Never Easy

Post by skip-stop Thu Jun 03, 2021 8:39 am

Many found this very unnecessary, Charlotte had already encountered this here and she was sure that she would come across this more than once. Not everyone believes that the opponent is worthy of mutual respect. But for Charlotte, professionalism and nobility were an integral part of her life. She learned this after she had pacified the rage she was a long time ago filled with. And she believed that every fighter deserves some respect. She bowed to her rival and held out her hand for a handshake, hoping that Georgia would not be one of those who believe that there is no place for respect in the ring.

And, to the delight of the Frenchwoman, she was right, as the brunette took a few steps forward and then took Charlotte's hand. In addition, the Irish-American woman added a few words. Oh, looks like she heard about matches behind Charlotte's back. The martial arts master did not deny it was very flattering for her. Releasing Georgia's hand, the Sand Lizard smiled. If this woman remained confident, knowing that Charlotte had sent the Amazon to the hospital twice, then she really had real fortitude. This deserved praise and respect.

"Give me your best," she said.

Both women took a few steps back. And while the brunette decided to disperse the blood through her veins a little, the martial arts master took a fighting stance. She moved her right leg back a step and clenched her fists. Her right fist was raised to the level of her chin, and her left fist was at the midpoint of her torso. Her chin was lowered slightly. She was completely relaxed, but it was easy to see that the pink-haired woman was ready to join the fight at any moment. There was determination in her eyes. She nodded the referee, confirming her readiness to start the match. And the girl referee was not long in coming. She raised her hand and then dropped it abruptly.

Ding-Ding-Ding.

The match began with loud applause and shouts from the audience. They longed for a good match and both women were determined to give it to them. The Sand Lizard decided not adhere to a slow pace, she rushed forward almost immediately after the bell. She tried to close the distance between them as quickly as possible, moving with ease and impressive speed. And, in order not to give Georgia a reason to think that this would be a banal forehead attack, she slightly shifted her body and fists at every step. The Sand Lizard wanted to confuse her rival so that she would not be able to figure out what the first attack would be.

And when the distance allowed, the martial arts master accelerated sharply, at the same time raising her left fist to the level of her chin too. Now she was going to shoot a quick left jab directly into the chin of the Irish-American woman, but only to then try to take a diagonal step forward and to the right. In this case, she could try to find a gap in the defense and send a powerful right cross to the brunette's left cheek. The 1-2 combo may not have been the most impressive in boxing, but it’s fast fast, not to mention that it would give Charlotte a first glimpse of her opponent, her fighting style and how well she holds the punch.

[Standard Match] Charlotte Ravel' vs Georgia Flynn - The Road Forward Is Never Easy Empty Re: [Standard Match] Charlotte Ravel' vs Georgia Flynn - The Road Forward Is Never Easy

Post by Old_Man_Tai Thu Aug 05, 2021 11:44 am

With the ringing of the bell, the match was on, and Georgia was ready. She had no desire to rush in foolishly, against an opponent she knew little about, especially since doing so would go against her usual grappling based ring style.

Charlotte however, seemed to have other plans, as the woman dashed in towards the second generation wrestler, intent on getting up close and personal with her! Luckily, it was hard to miss a woman with such bright hair and attire running towards her, so she was able to sidestep the left jab that was sent her way, but the follow up right cross was something she couldn't anticipate quick enough, and a fist smashed into Georgia's cheek, making her stumble back a few steps before straightening herself out.

"Alright, alright, nice shot. First blood to you then..." Georgia quipped, before lunging forward towards Charlotte while ducking down, trying to use her greco roman grappling skills to grab at Charlotte's leg and bring her down to the mat with a single leg takedown.

[Standard Match] Charlotte Ravel' vs Georgia Flynn - The Road Forward Is Never Easy Empty Re: [Standard Match] Charlotte Ravel' vs Georgia Flynn - The Road Forward Is Never Easy

Post by skip-stop Thu Aug 05, 2021 3:34 pm

"Not bad," Charlotte thought.

It really was. The first seconds of a match are never easy for either side. The attacking fighter must do everything possible to prevent the opponent from reading the attack. While the defending fighter must be ready for any attack options. Charlotte wanted to understand what Georgia was made of. And she was ready to admit that the brunette did not disappoint her. The martial arts master was quite fast, but her opponent was still able to dodge the first punch.

But Charlotte always tried to see an opportunity even in failure. As the Irish-American woman dodged the first fist, she opened from the side. Taking a breath, Charlotte took advantage of this by sending the cross punch to her opponent's left cheek. She felt pain in her knuckles, her fist found its target. This punch was much more powerful than the jab and as a result Georgia stumbled back a few steps.

The Sand Lizard saw this as an opportunity, so she didn't even think to stop. Although the corners of the pink-haired woman's lips lifted slightly when she heard the other woman's words. Such words could be said by the one who enjoyed the match. It was good quality, the quality of a real fighter. And Charlotte appreciated that. This only further fueled her desire to continue the offensive. She took a breath and was about to send another punch to the brunette's head.

But apparently Charlotte wasn't the only one fast fighter here. Georgia rushed forward, but instead of engaging with the Frenchwoman in exchange of blows, she dived down, grabbing the Sand Lizard by the leg. She immediately understood what her rival was up to when she felt her body sway back and to the side. And Charlotte's first thought was to try to grab the head of the Irish-American woman. But her grappling skills were quite impressive, as she pressed her head to Charlotte's leg so that the martial arts master could not turn this takedown in her favor.

"Quite not bad", she thought.

However, Charlotte refused to just fall on the mat. Despite the fact that this was only the beginning of the match, she did not want to find herself in a situation when her opponent would begin to break her limbs. Therefore, the pink-haired woman decided to act a little differently. Despite the fact that she could not grab the head of her rival, nothing could stop her from trying to hit Georgia.

This is what she tried to do. Due to the turmoil and lack of time, she could not accurately aim and make a large number of hits. Therefore, it is unlikely that her strikes were too effective. However, she still tried to hit the brunette's head with her right fist several times in the hopes that this would be enough to prevent Georgia from getting the maximum advantage from this takedown.

Post by Old_Man_Tai Wed Sep 08, 2021 11:59 pm

While Georgia succeeded in taking Charlotte down with her takedown attempt, any chance of an immediate follow up was blocked by the sudden fists raining down on her head. While not all of them connected, some merely brushing her hair, others landed true, smacking against her skull and getting yelps out of her with each shot.

As a result, once the two of them landed on the mat, instead of following up with a submission hold, Georgia winced and crawled backwards, trying to put some distance between her and the pink clad Charlotte. Simply put, those punches hurt and Georgia did NOT want to be in position to get punched more when her head was throbbing already just from those few connected shots!

[Standard Match] Charlotte Ravel' vs Georgia Flynn - The Road Forward Is Never Easy Empty Re: [Standard Match] Charlotte Ravel' vs Georgia Flynn - The Road Forward Is Never Easy

Post by skip-stop Thu Sep 23, 2021 5:32 pm

The fighter must be ready for anything. This is exactly what the theory says. However, practice shows that no one can always be ready for absolutely everything. Charlotte did not count on the fact that at the very beginning of the match she would have to make such close contact with her rival. However, Georgia was able to quickly close the distance. And although it was too early to judge this, it seems that the brunette preferred grappling rather than exchanging blows. And the martial arts master took note of that.

Not wanting to give the Irish-American girl an advantage, the Sand Lizard began sending her fist to her rival's head. She did not have high expectations as it was almost impossible to make a good punch during the fall. Several times her fist only stroked the brunette's hair, but at least once she clearly felt her knuckles crashing into Georgia's skull.

Both women fell to the mat. This fall was not too hard and Charlotte was not stunned, so she prepared for the fact that now their bodies would be entwined like two snakes. However, apparently, her opponent decided not to take risks due to the fact that her takedown was not as successful as possible. Instead of starting to grapple with the pink-haired woman, she decided to crawl back. Caution is never superfluous. Charlotte could understand why Georgia decided to retreat.

"You won't escape!" thought the Frenchwoman.

Her eyes flashed. The young woman intended to bend her left knee and turn her upper body to the right, pressing her right forearm against the mat in order to take additional support. Discretion was indeed a useful quality. Anyone who acts recklessly always increases their chances of losing. And although even Charlotte was not always able to maintain her composure, for the most part she always remained cold-blooded.

And now her composure and prudence pushed her to act. She knew that her position was not ideal for this move, as her left leg did not have much space to swing. However, letting Georgia take the distance means slowing down the pace, and that was not the style of the martial arts master. She preferred to be the initiator, each time increasing the pace of the match, rather than slowing it down.

The Frenchwoman was determined to move her leg to the right, trying to take the maximum available speed, because she needed to somehow compensate for the lack of space for swing. But nevertheless, she was going to straighten her leg at the end in order to try to ram the head of the retreating Georgia with a roundhouse kick from the ground!
