While he was in a much better position than he was just momentarily, Trent was quite annoyed with himself internally. For him that last submission trade-off was a battle of ego, one which he lost because the Masterpiece was forced to switch up his tactic in order to stay in the match. In the end, it was beneficial for him now that he had slammed Valley down on the canvas thanks to a devastating spine buster.

Having a serious expression on his face, Trent would remain on top of Valley while hooking her leg up going for the pin. Deep down he knew this would not be enough, if it would be enough he would be extremely disappointed in his opponent. After the count of "TWO" Valley kicked out and flopped down, laying exhausted under him.

"I'm done playing games with you. I never believed the hype around you, never will." he said taking offence to Valley's earlier taunts to him. Grabbing her by the arms, Trent would pull Valley back up on her feet while rising up to his own feet behind her. To show just how serious he was, Trent was looking to to pass his arms from under Valley's armpits to lock his hands around the back of her neck in an attempt to lock his finisher 'The Masterlock' submission.

Was this a jealousy thing? Valley couldn’t help but feel that way.

It wasn’t a foreign idea to her - she could still remember back in Slamazons, when she’d started out and some of the other girls would whisper behind her back, saying she got special treatment because she was the original Valley Doll’s daughter, because she was a legacy and blah blah blah. That sort of thing always seem to be around the corner.

She’d never seen it from a guy, though. That was new. Trent seemed bent on making this more and more personal, and she was honestly starting to wonder what Alaina saw in the guy. He seemed to be kind of a jerk.

But that was okay. She knew how to handle jerks.

As Trent lifted her up, going for a full nelson, Valley sprang into action. She kicked legs out and dropped down, slipping through his grasp with her full weight. At the same time, she swung her legs up as she fell, bringing them over in an arc to smack him clean on the face, looking to score a close-range version of her Pele Kick.

The more time he spent in the ring with Valley Doll, the more the crowd could sense that there was some sense of hostility that Trent had towards Valley. It was not any normal hostility either, of course two wrestlers trying to out-wrestle the other wouldn't be the best of friends but something about Trent's aggression towards his opponent surpassed the standard competitiveness between two opponents.

Regardless, the leader of the Dominion was about to put this match to bed because he attempted to lock in his finishing move 'The Masterlock'. He would pick the victory for himself and even for Alaina who was unable to beat Valley in her career so far. His cheeky taunt seem to not go well with the former Slamazon who was not looking to be treated like some ragdoll.

When he was trying to lock in the submission, Valley kicked her legs out and dropped down to slip through his grasp with her full weight. In that single motion she would also swing her legs up whilst falling to bring them over in an arc and smack him in the face to execute a brilliant counter, one which caused the crowd to erupt in cheers. Disgruntled by that strike, Trent would cover his face and stagger back until his back hit the corner turnbuckle and he leaned against it.

The normal move after connecting with her Pele Kick would’ve been a kip up. The attack was handy for knocking down an opponent who thought they weren’t in a position for her to strike, hitting them when they were at their most vulnerable, but it could leave her in a bad position even if it connected.

So it might’ve been a little telling that, instead, she rolled back to her feet and stood up, even using the ropes for some support. Some of her keen eyed fans would see what that meant: She was getting winded. Trent was wearing on her.

Hard truth. The longer this match went on, the more it favored him. She needed to lower the boom on him, and the sooner she scored, the better.

Now back on her feet, she moved in to make that reality happen, stepping his way, bringing up her leg and shooting it out high towards his throat, looking to pin him against the pads and choke him a bit with her heel. ”Having fun, Trent?”

The counter was quite unique, even though it was one of Valley's signature moves and Trent should have been more prepared for it but her use of the Pele Kick in these circumstances were always quite imaginative to even keep the most prepared opponents with their guard down. That is what just happened, Trent thought he would end this match with his finisher but instead had Valley's feet smack into his face.

The result was that the Masterpiece staggered back into the corner while clutching his face. The leader of the Dominion was momentarily stunned, leaning into the corner which allowed his opponent to get back up on her feet. Realizing her chance, Valley would quickly step towards him and raise her leg up and press her heel against his throat to choke him out while keeping him pinned in the corner.

"Guughh! *cough*" the Masterpiece struggled to breathe as his hands quickly reached up to grab her foot and tried to get them off his throat. Meanwhile, the referee would step in to the side and would start her count for a DQ due to the chokehold while Trent was in the corner.

"One...Two..." she counted.

Was Valley being a little vindictive? Yeah, sure. Was it justified? She sure as hell thought so.

Whatever Trent’s problem with her was, the man seemed bent on pressing her buttons and putting her on a bad start in Tension. He was Alaina’s guy, she wanted to play nice, but if the man wanted to make this personal and get dirty? Fine. That was well within her wheelhouse. He’d make her regret it, though.

She moved away after the kick, before her time ran out, giving Trent some room to breath, but if he thought that meant he was getting a reprieve, he was wrong - and he’d learn just how wrong in short order.

She’d only just pulled away before she was on him again, reaching up to take him by the head. She turned around, spun on her heels and pulled him over her shoulder, tossing him towards the center of the ring with a snapmare - but that wasn’t all. The moment he touched down, she’d move in, swing her leg out, and come at him back with two swift, soccer style kicks, making sure to target the base of his spin with each blistering blow.

The entire match seemed to have a passive aggressive vibe about it, especially on part of Trent who clearly seemed to have a problem with Valley Doll but just couldn't come clean about it. Valley was starting to feel that way too and started to fuel the fire. Trapping him in a footchoke hold while he was cornered only seem to push him over the edge and his anger was certainly rising up.

Before she could get disqualified, Valley would relent with the choke and would wrap her arm around Trent's head, dragging him away from the corner. The Slamazon would then heave in effort, pulling the Masterpiece over her shoulder and dumping him down on his back in the middle of the ring for a classic snapmare.

"Gugh!" he grunted, springing up to a seated position. That was not the worse of his problems because soon he felt a couple of hard hitting soccer style kicks SMACKING hard into his locker back which caused a howl of pain to escape his lips. "AHHHHHHHH" he cried out, clutching his lower back before slumping down to his back.

Of all the people Valley had kicked in the spine - hundreds, maybe thousands - she had to say, Trent would always hold a special place in her heart.

Yes, it was so damn satisfying., felt good to be back in control of the match, but Valley had to temper her expectations, here. If there was one thing this man had made all too clear, it was that he had the capability to change things to his favor in an instant if she let her guard down. He was skilled, dangerous, could win this match if she wasn’t careful, and her best chance to take control was to move in and end this before he had another opportunity to seize.

That would mean getting a little risky, taking some chances. Wouldn’t be a Valley Doll match if she played it safe, though, would it?

The moment Trent flopped to his back, Valley went into motion again, sprinting towards the ropes. She leaped up when she  close enough, planted her feet on the middle ropes, and vaulted backwards in a wide arc - one that bring her up, over, and down right on him, crashing into his body with a Lionsault.

This was one of those moments where Trent showed a genuine sign of being in pain. The stiff kicks to his lower back really hurt, he hoped that they didn't leave a nasty red mark on his skin. No matter what his personal opinion was about Valley Doll, there was no denying that she was a phenomenal wrestler and right now she was taking control of this match once more.

The kicks brought the Masterpiece back down to the mats as he looked to recover from the stinging and burning sensation he was feeling down on his lower back. Seeing him down, Valley began her next plan of action which was sprinting towards the ropes, using them as a spring in her step as she vaulted back towards the downed Masterpiece looking to nail him with a Lionsault!

However, Trent had just about recovered and caught on to Valley's Lionsault attempt and he would bring his knees up at the last moment, causing Valley to crash land on his raised knees!

There was no fault in Valley’s form, nothing she did wrong on her end. While she wasn’t as slick as she used to be, wasn’t as fast as she used to be, she was still good enough to execute a move like this, no problem.

There was only one problem with it, something she couldn't foresee until the last moment - the landing pad.

Valley saw Trent’s position at the last instant, too late for her to do anything about it except tense up her stomach and prepare for the impact. That helped, a little, but not enough to keep it from being a serious pain that traveled through her body and left her aching on the floor.

She rolled away on instinct, putting distance between them. She made it under the ropes and under the apron, where she stayed with one arm draped over the edge.
