Strategy: Zena uses rigged lighting and various other effects for her “magic,” which along with her very sinister presence are meant to intimidate her opponents and play mind games with them to throw them off their game. In the ring she’s a Jill-of-all-trades, capable of dipping into just about any style to some extent. She’s erratic and unpredictable, but specifically excels with numerous submission hold variants. That said, Zena only cares about inflicting as much pain as possible on her opponent. The rules of a match mean next to nothing to her. She relishes in their agony and humiliation and will do anything she sees fit toward that end, whether that means breaking down their body with painful holds or employing weapons. Sometimes she will even resort to putting her own body through incredibly dangerous risks if she thinks it could mean sufficiently hurting her target.

Astral Projection: With her opponent prone and dazed on the ground, Zena ascends to the top rope and flips off of it toward her foe, aiming to crash back-first onto their torso.

Astral Projection:

Fireball: For this Zena uses a small whiskey bottle and a lighter, usually hidden somewhere under the ring. She takes a small mouthful of whiskey and lights the lighter, then spits the alcohol through the flame, forming a ball of fire that flashes out into the face of her target.

Red Mist: Meant to look like blood, Zena spits a mouthful of red mist into the eyes and face of her opponent to temporarily blind them.

Twana: With her opponent near the ropes, Zena climbs onto their back while hooking her legs around their arms. Then she leans over the ropes, reaching down to grab and trap the foe's legs as well, painfully bending their body over the ropes while suspending them in a shape resembling a twana, the humanoid stick figures she often uses as a signature warning sign of her coming.

Third Eye: After twisting the opponent’s arm, Zena throws a leg over it then rolls through, putting her foe on their back and placing the trapped limb in a torturous side armbar variant.

Hex: Zena wraps her opponent’s leg around the back of her neck to bend the limb with a Stretch Muffler while grabbing one of the foe’s arms to trap it in place as well. Then she coils her legs around the target’s head to add a headscissor to the hold, torturing them in two different ways at once. The hold also leaves her opponent’s crotch vulnerable, which she will take full advantage of in hentai matches.

Hex:

Athame: Zena moves one of her foe’s arms between their legs and grabs the wrist to hold it there and loops her other arm around the opponent’s free arm to secure her in a pumphandle position, then lifts them up and turns them upside down before spiking them directly onto their head.

Personality: Zena is as true to the definition of “sadistic” as one can get. She seems to be motivated only by the thrill of inflicting fear, pain and humiliation on others. Zena demonstrates very little concern for her own wellbeing, willingly and even eagerly throwing herself into dangerous circumstances at times just for the sake of satisfying her own malicious desires. Zena isn’t a social person by any means, and makes no attempts to form any bonds of friendship. Likewise, the AFW fans and even the rules of her matches mean next to nothing to her. She’s an erratic, violent person who seems to love little other than the supernatural, and the art of inflicting pain..

Past/History: Very little is known about Zena or her background. Her childhood and teenage years are largely a mystery, as is her family as a whole. No one knows what led Zena to start wrestling in the European indy scene. But she embraced it in full as an outlet to satisfy her sadistic desires, and particularly made a name for herself with her penchant for mind games, and reckless abandon in hardcore matches. She intimidated her opponents, then left crowds stunned with death-defying stunts and ruthless displays of brutality. Eventually word of her reached the right ears in AFW, and when presented with an offer to join their roster Zena readily accepted, eager to begin terrorizing the wrestlers in Japan just as she had in Europe.

Fun Facts:

-The telltale sign that Zena has set her sights on you is a humanoid stick figure known as a “twana.” They will mysteriously begin appearing frequently around her prey, sometimes physically and other times as etchings in walls or drawings on paper. Whatever way they’re presented, they’re meant as a warning sign that she’s coming for them soon, and to keep her target constantly looking over their shoulder to the point of paranoia.

- Zena loves to read. In the rare times she can be found outside of a match, she’s often reading a book. She has a particular fondness for fantasy novels. The more magic, the better.

- During her time wrestling in the European indies, several promoters were bothered by the unusual lack of information that seemed to exist about Zena and her background. One eventually hired a private investigator to dig up whatever he could on her. His findings were shared only with the promoter, and for reasons unknown the two decided to never speak of it again.

- She’s a distant descendant of a woman who was tried and executed on charges of witchcraft centuries ago. Learning of this as a child was what sparked Zena’s fascination for witchcraft, black magic and all things supernatural.
