Character Adoption
Wed 7 Apr 2021 - 12:25 by killcarrion
Greetings...I've decided to relinquish some characters as well. For purposes ranging from not knowing where to proceed with them, lack of interest, and guilt from feeling they could be better used in other people's hands. It's on a first-come, first-served basis and they'll be readily offered to whomever expresses interest. Send me a PM or message me on Discord if that's the case. I'll update this page if adoptions happen.
There are also other characters I …

Sun 4 Apr 2021 - 20:30 by Old_Man_Tai
The following characters of mine are being put up for adoption due to lack of use and interest in using:
- Grizzly Yamamoto
- Hazuki Musumi
- Garm Takanashi
- Riyu Kikuchi
- Dark Star Chaos
- Will also at least hear out and entertain other character adoption offers if anyone has any.
Send me a PM or contact me on Discord if your interested in any of the above. Thank you.
NOTE: Anyone not listed below as having my permission to adopt a character, but uses one anyway, does not have …

OFFICIAL AFW BACKUP DRIVE

OFFICIAL AFW BACKUP DRIVE
So, most of you are already familiar with the current issue between AFW and the admins of Forumotion. (Here is a link for those who aren't familiar with the situation)
As we deal with this situation, we are asking that you back up all your characters and threads.
In addition to your own personal back up however, I have opened this Google Drive account to serve as an official backup for characters and matches.
It's not perfect, but it's free, simple and easy to use, and should serve our purposes.
This is the link to the Google Drive.
By clicking that link, you will have the ability to edit and add to the drive.
The way it works is very simple:
Open up the Characters folder, use the "NEW" button to make a folder for yourself, add folders inside for Friction and Tension and such, then use the "NEW" button again to open up a new Google Doc. From there, you can copy and paste your character info into a document, it will save automatically, and the next time you visit the Google Drive, it should be saved in its respective folder.
(Note, if you copy/paste your work to say, Word, you should still be able to upload it from the NEW button, under File Upload).
Saving matches will work the same way.
We have 15GB of data to work with for free, and I find it very unlikely that word documents will actually use up that much space.
I admit its not the easiest option, since you have to manually do most of the work, but it should be fairly effective, combined with making your own personal backups, should anything happen to the board.
