A Decent Proposal

Somehow, Stone knew the idea of facing her again wouldn’t bother Makio in the least. Just like Makoto, once a challenge was presented to him, he didn’t back down, didn’t falter, didn’t blink. He might’ve been a bit of a boy scout, sure, but that didn’t make him any less tough, and if things came to blows, she’d have a real match on her hands.

Oddly, she was looking forward to that more than anything. It had been a while since she’d had a chance to cut loose, and she was relishing the opportunity.

”Yeah. I suppose you do.” She match his smile with a slight one of her own, nearly imperceptible unless you knew what to look for. ”I’ll make sure Makoto stays close to the arena for a week or two - if you put out the call, she’ll be there, fast.” She started to make her way into the shadows of the tunnel, letting the darkness envelope her once more.”Everything else is up to you, hero.”

Unlike Makoto, there wasn’t a hint of sarcasm when she used that title.

Truth be told, if by some miracle Makoto didn't throw Stone at him, he might just challenge her for the sport of it. Their conversation had been enlightening. Stone was far more intriguing than he ever could have imagined. Perhaps if this all turned out well, he would pick her brain a bit on other issues. He was curious on her point of view.

"I'll do my part in a few days. If something changes before then, you know where to find me... Apparently." He tooted his head slightly, giving the woman a look. "Not sure if I should be flattered or creeped out you may have been following me for awhile." He let that linger between them, but he didn't seem to mind one way or the other.

With a polite nod he would separate, going his own way. This was a decent note to end his jog on. He had some planning to do and a few calls to make. "Ride safe." He called after Stone. He may have been grinning a bit too much at the hero comment.
