Character Adoption
Wed Apr 07, 2021 5:25 pm by killcarrion
Greetings...I've decided to relinquish some characters as well. For purposes ranging from not knowing where to proceed with them, lack of interest, and guilt from feeling they could be better used in other people's hands. It's on a first-come, first-served basis and they'll be readily offered to whomever expresses interest. Send me a PM or message me on Discord if that's the case. I'll update this page if adoptions happen.
There are also other characters I …

Re: About Star Wars 8..;
Oh I've been watching the whole hot mess that Lucasfilms has been cooking up for itself following the last jedi with much interest... including their so low solo sales (couldn't resist) and bad PR that the company can't help but keep farting out like someone suffering from irritable bowl syndrome. I'm glad that now they may have to think and work harder on these films to milk maximum profit, not just put out average films or films that make people angry and get top box office sales cause its "Star Wars"
despite what I said here:
Is the prequels better than the last jedi? Its really just down to personal opinion and what criteria you base your judgement on... I find it hard to quantify myself, I don't think its as clear cut as people in either camp say. For me personally, the prequels made me feel cringy and bored in places... They never made me feel the levels of disapointment and anger that the last jedi managed to reach. However if you enjoyed the Last Jedi (misery loves company aside) I'm glad that you can continue to feel excited about new Star Wars films
despite what I said here:
I decided that the last jedi killed the preferential treatment I had been giving Star Wars (where I'd go watch the film no matter what). So I did not see (or ever feel like seeing) Solo a Star Wars story... I'm not even sure at this point if I will see episode 9, I certain don't have any excitement to see it. That is the kind of damage that the last jedi has done to Star Wars (in my eyes), where a fan can start to feel complete apathy towards the "climax" and ending of a trilogy.Kelsea wrote:they'll keep churning out star wars films each year and I'll watch it cause its star wars whether good or bad.

Rewatching Last Jedi, my own opinion of it being a terrible and god awful movie still stands. It really was just overly dragged on with badly written characters and plot twists that ruined existing characters. I haven't watched Solo and I don't plan to.
Also, this is funny as fuck. XD

Solo was actually pretty good because they touched the underworld side of the universe how cut throat it was and you actually see part of corella in the movie.

The franchise is in the shitter, sorry to say, but it is, unless they recover it with something, then it's just best to move on to something else.
Scrub that, 'StuperHero' fatigue.

Super hero Fatigue is a lie. Its been like ten years of marvel mass producing above quality films and I'm still not sick of it XD
Honestly it just gets better in my opinion

If I only had a shred of interest for Ant-Man or Doctor Strange, I would have watched that too.^^

fatigue... -_-
Its that hard for lucasfilms to accept that some legitiment star wars fans didn't want a film on Han Solo or that other legitiment star wars fans were not happy with the last jedi or that they might just feel like the current star wars saga's are no longer their story

Has Lucasfilms ever used that phrase? I've only heard of super hero fatigue from people who are burnt out on super hero movies. I certainly never heard it be a reason no one watched a Star Wars film.

Re: About Star Wars 8..;
I have seen the term "Star Wars fatigue" assigned to the reason Solo flopped, along with "Poor marketing", "Too many other blockbusters" and "People were busy was theh memorrial weekend". Although from memory I'm not sure if it came directly from Lucasfilms mouths or from the media outlet that was strongly supporting Lucasfilms

Re: About Star Wars 8..;
Now I of course don“t know this for sure, but maybe SW is so big of a franchise that not even a giant like Disney is willing to let it tank like this after SW7 broke the 2Billion border as the third movie ever? They can produce quality stuff with their Marvel wing, Black Panther and Avengers sit at 9 and 4 of the highest grossing movies, basically relegating the Lord of the Rings, DC, Fast and Furious, Transformers, Harry Potter, James Bond and Jurassic Park to the backseats.
