If Matt wanted to make friends with Diana, he'd just mentioned the one name Diana simply didn't want to hear.

She stood there for a moment, not so much blindsided anymore as to the mans cockiness, nor the fact he had evidently heard of her, nay, seen her before. With mouth ajar and eyes wide, Diana's posture went completely placid as the amazon straightened up. Her look at Matthew was similar to that one would give upon viewing a unbelievable sight, like a first gaze upon the Aurora Borealis. Or rather, seeing a volcano erupt.

Internally.

Taking a step back, Diana would resume her serious posture with hands closed as she bent down again. This time, her fingers damn well near dug into her own palms given how hard she was clenching. Eyes looking to the floor a second with their shocked gaze still equipped, she'd roll them up to Matthews own, giving the man her own version of the thousand-yard stare.

If he wanted Diana serious, he'd get her.

"Come then..." Whispered from a face turning more serious and angry by the second, as truth be told Diana was beginning to shake with rage at what had just transpired.

"...face that Diana..."

Diana's body language said it all. Matt knew he struck a few nerves, there. And as bad as it might have made him look in Diana's eyes, the man had no regrets, whatsoever. He had come to AFW on a whim. He didn't even really want to do singles matches. So he figured: what harm was there in keeping his skills sharp by pitting himself against one of the veteran's in her top form? It was probably the funnest, most productive thing he could think to do. Now it only he was careful about what it was he wished for.

Matthew would show a look of concern in his facial expression. The range of emotions Diana displayed in those short moments was impressive, alarming, genuine....The Luchador merely observed with that same concerned look as she stared at him, balled her fists, and resumed her stance. Matt would quickly collect himself and his thoughts before responding. "That's exactly what I wanted to hear."

Matthew thought he had a good idea of what he was in for. While he wasn't the wrestling enthusiast that he was before, he still took delight in testing himself. Now it was time to see if he simply chose the wrong person to test himself against. To see if the concern that he was feeling just now wasn't just about whether or not Diana was ok...but if he would be, after this.

Diana's posture was firmly locked, body positioned even more staunchly than she had been trained to. Boxers were trained to keep their bodies loose, to enable the simple act of dodging, yet firm, to actually attack. Diana's frame was solely the latter.

Biting the inside of her lip to staunch her anger and suppress her heated, furious blows, Diana went on the attack before a warning was even given in this friendly bout. Tucking her head slightly, she'd first extend her left, as if to motion from that direction.

Before extending her body over the halfway however, she'd suddenly switch to her right. Not only full extending her body over the opposing leg in a quick feinting motion, Diana would kick off slightly to add gravity into the mix.

All the while, her right arm would come far out wide before hooking down from above, trying to connect solidly to Matthews cheek with such pristine force, she might just floor him here and now!

The masked man would take note of his opponent's revised approach towards him. It was very detailed, like that of someone who had made every effort to keep their fighting stance in top form to avoid mistakes and dish out the most damage they could in the form of strikes. Matthew had scene many boxers in his day. Many prominent boxers emerged from Mexico, but he never found the motivation to study the fighting style, himself.

He bore a look of surprise on his face as the towering Amazon approached him. Her movements were precise and the feint had done its job! Matthew had turned to his right, expecting Diana to step there. Guessing wrong cost him in the form eating a massive right hook to the side of his face! The impact was audible and caught the attention of some of the gym goers far in the distance. The punch immediately knocked Matt's skull downwards and to the side in a diagonal motion before his body would soon follow! He looked like he was about to go down, but on his way to the ground, whether one would chalk it up to be sheer willpower or luck, he would stumble several to his side and just barely find some footing before grabbing onto the ropes! He'd hold his face and readjust his jaw for a second before looking up at a still-enraged Diana and commenting.

¡Ay...! Man...you know, this mask thing might not be working out. It blocked absolutely NONE of that!" Somehow, he still found a way to work in a halfway wholesome joke. Matt wasn't kee on showing it off the the AFW roster just yet, but he second best attribute was his endurance. He was a seasoned enough fighter to now that that punch would have floored many a foe. And that it was just one of the many possible things in the woman's arsenal that could prove to be his undoing. Still, he wouldn't have gone through the effort of riling her up if he didn't think he could stand toe to toe with her. The Luchador had surprised of his own in store, too.

If given the chance, he'd raise his arms assume his fighting stance before slowly approaching Accera again in the hopes of capitalizing on the lady's next move!

Matt's earlier comment at the Italian had put Diana in a state of mind she was rarely in. Her mind knew the match was still a sparring session, hell, Matt had specifically requested someone to help him train. Her body on the other hand screamed a serious tone, with fists clenched so tightly Diana's fingers were even beginning to strain. She'd shake her hands off as a result following that heavy strike, before assuming her boxing posture now with her back to the corner. Not that she considered herself to be trapped...

Only grunting at the man who now jested following what felt to be a deeply personal insult, Diana would once more kick off on the base of her right, apparently eager to continue her beat down. Where as her stance still screamed of a woman preparing for another boxing-based assault, Diana would aim for something a little different.

Jumping this time off both, Diana would twist her posture as she somewhat lept as if going for a dropkick to the base of Matt. Only, Diana aimed for her legs to slide in between rather than collide with the mans shins, in an attempt to then pull Matt roughly and harshly towards the centre of the ring, inadvertently locking in a very loose knee-bar of sorts!

Diana didn't seem to have any intention of letting up, which was to be expected. Matt knew there was no going back now. There was no "reverse gear", so to speak, on this now heated spar, or on this raging Amazon. Matt was well aware of this possible consequence. Having become disenchanted with wrestling, going through the motions and training the standard way would have bored him, anyways. If he was going to test himself against someone in the ring, especially with his own free time rather than working a match for pay or some material gain, he was going to be sure to do it in a way that pushed both himself and his opponent. In a way that he could find exhilarating. And to him, that means fighting against a Diana that was going all out.

As the hulking Italian charged at him, the Luchador stood his ground. He offered no signs of regret or remorse. Matthew chose to test himself against her. When Diana aimed low and began to ensnare his legs in an attempt to lock in a Kneebar, the Mexican man made it a priority to maintain his balance. He was dragged viciously towards the center of the ring! On his way there, he employed his sense of balance honed by years of practice with aerial maneuvers! He almost lost his foot once or twice. With only one foot available to him, it made sense that he would. But Matthew persevered, and eventually planted his foot down and found a in which he could orient his body to prevent a fall down to the canvas.

Once his balance was found, he'd ignore the sensation of Diana's muscular legs against his body and attempt a reversal. He'd grab hold of his opponent's feet and try to pull his trapped leg away to free it. If he was able to wriggle it free, he'd flip forwards, on top of Diana whilst maintaining a grip on her heels to attempt a quick Jackknife Pin! If successful, he'd begin to count! "One!"

The moment Diana committed herself to performing a take down attempt she rarely even attempted, she considered herself in a zone not to be trifled with. If Matt went down now, she'd likely let him off with a physical scolding and nothing more. He was going to pay for that Carmen comment. Just how much was now dependent on him; everything Matt proceeded to do, in Diana's eyes, was simply him digging his grave deeper.

The man's superior balanced used against her however, Diana found her own knees instead brought upwards towards her head rather than see them sink into Matthews own crook to bend that leg against him. Own hands wisely releasing rather than fighting to win a battle where every ounce of leverage was now against her, she'd bring her hands to the side of her head in preparation to spring from the cover attempt like a jack-in-the-box. Only, something Matt said convinced her to quickly do different. Or rather, that one word he muttered.

"ONE!"

Diana was practically stunned.

"Do...Do you think this is a fucking game, NOW?!"

Hands locking firmly to Matt's own, Diana wouldn't act immediately, visibly making little effort to actually break the pin. She just simply aimed on sliding the arm closest to her between her legs.

For something describable as 'painful.'

Matt didn't realize this exchange would only incite more anger. He aimed to turn the tables by finding a way out of his predicament and trying to win this spar. Having turned the Kneebar attempt into a Jackknife Cover, he felt confident about beginning the count for his second pin thus far! Despite making the best of his current situation, Diana would find little trouble with finding an answer for his last move!

With some finesse and some in-ring know-how, the Amazon would place the man's arm between her powerful, tree trunk-like legs! Pain shot up his arm immediately. But what also caught his attention was the few words she uttered. "Gah...! G-Game?! What are you on about?!" It hadn't occurred to Luchador that she might have been taking this seriously past the point of a simple spar. Having been experienced in wrestling and keeping his eyes on the prize, he would take note of the fact that technically, he was still on top of his opponent and could advance the count of the pin. At the risk of more pain to his arm and pissing off Diana even further, he took his chances. If he could do so interrupted, he'd fight through the pain to declare. "T-two!"

With Matthew continuing his pin, it became clear that Diana's intention was not perceived. She wouldn't willingly give the man a full cover of her for the three count, but opted to verbally suggest what would happen if such was to occur.

"That...won't stop me..." Grunting as she declared her intention to continue the fight regardless of such a official ending being reached, Diana would attempt to jerk her body straight regardless, in attempt to break the pin for but a moment, or rather restart it. Three seconds more is all she needed to attempt what she had in mind next...

As she began turning her shoulders as much as she could to slide her figure somewhat to Matthews side, arm still in tow. Pulling on said arm, she would try to bring Matthews hands up towards the direction of her shoulder, before going a little further, hyper extending it! If the masked fighter didn't respond abruptly, he'd soon find his efforts at a clean finish being rewarded with a possibly crippling arm-bar attempt!

Matt's facial expression changed from one of being pained to an incredulous look. He'd be taken aback by the fact that the Amazon passed on trying to free herself from a pin in lieu of nearly effortlessly resetting the count! Diana showed great ring presence and knowledge by choosing to simply reset rather than exert herself to break the pin. It allowed her the opportunity to follow up on the pain she had already been dishing out and ensnare his arm in a full on Armbar!

As Matt took in what was going on, he exclaimed. "Hey! Not bad! Ow ow ow, but don't speak too soon!" Matt would attempt to employ some of hit agility in an effort to pull off what seemed to be one of the conventional escapes to the hold. He would kick upwards and roll back onto his stomach. One might expect him to stand up to and overpower his foe and lift her, but Matt realized there was no way he could realistically do that. Even if he could lift Accera with one arm, she'd likely already have an answer to stop that counter.

No, instead, the Luchador simply tried making use of the distance he covered via rolling and attempted to extend his foot towards the ropes. If he was able to make even a little contact with them, he'd explain in a pained voice: "R-rope break! Unless you think you can break that arm or make me tap in the next 5 seconds, let go, por favor.
