Tomomi Watanabe Vs. Vanessa Vandar

Tomomi's smile got wider. "Sure thing!" she said. She raised her hands in front of her, shuffling in close. She was wary of Vanessa's skills, since she seemed to be a decent fighter. Tomomi didn't like to get hit that much, though she could withstand a lot of pain. She'll need to be careful around Vanessa. Tomomi would test the waters tentatively, opening up with a test of strength, holding her hands out in front to see if Vanessa was stronger or weaker than she was.

Vanessa lifts her hands, going to lock up with Tomomi, eager to see how strong she was as well. Tomomi would soon realize, Vanessa had a fair bit of strength behind her...not a powerhouse by any means, but definately up there as far as strength went.

Vanessa would grip Tomomi's hands tightly, trying to get a feel for her as well, and if she turned out to be stronger, she would smirk a bit and start to push back against her, attempting to back her towards the corner.

Tomomi grunted as she pushed against Vanessa. It seemed that Vanessa's fighting prowress wasn't just linked to good techniques, she had a fair bit of strength as well. Tomomi pushed hard against Vanessa, trying to not budge an inch. She was strong too, Tomomi. She may be an idol, but she was plenty good at fighting too. Tomomi pushed Vanessa to a standstill, neither girl budging at all. Tomomi was using all her strength however. If Vanessa still had more strength to bring to bear, she would overpower Tomomi and push her back.

Vanessa pushes against Tomomi a moment longer, growing a bit annoyed at her opponent's refusal to move. She growls, and somehow lets out one big burst of energy, violently pushing the cute idol away from herself and sending a sudden kick right into her stomach, she would then follow up with a trio of quick jabs right towards Tomomi's chin, a left, a right, then another left.

Tomomi was suddenly overwhelmed by the burst of energy. "Wahh!" Tomomi cried out as she got pushed backwards. Then she got kicked in her gut, sending her reeling. But that was not the end of it all. A short second later, before Tomomi could properly recover, Vanessa's punches struck home, all three landing on Tomomi's chin. Tomomi fell to the mat like a boxer who had taken too many hits.

"Oww," Tomomi said, "Owie... You hit hard..."

Vanessa frowns and looks down at her, lowering her arms to her sides.

"Don't tell me you're giving up already."

"Not even close," Tomomi said. She got up quickly. "I was just merely complimenting you; you do hit hard," Tomomi said. She settled into a defensive position, eyes watching Vanessa carefully. She was really wary of what this newbie could do now, very much unsure of how she could measure against Vanessa. Her flippant attitude disappeared as Tomomi got serious and really readied herself to fight.

A small hint of a smile would appear on Vanessa's face at the compliment from the idol. She would back up a bit to let Tomomi get up onto her feet, lifting her arms back up and noting the newfound seriousness of her opponent.

She'd circle around her for a moment, before quickly moving in and going to send another volley of punches her way, testing the girl to see how she would react.

Tomomi saw Vanessa coming with another barrage of punches. "She's a good striker," Tomomi thought, "Damn, I'm a grappler. This isn't my strength." She blocked punches with her arms, dodging some that came too close. Tomomi needed an opening. Then, she suddenly saw one. She let one punch get under her defense, hitting her in the gut. It wasn't all that powerful, but it hurt a bit. Tomomi bit back her pain, grabbing Vanessa's arm.

"Time to shine," Tomomi said. She held tightly onto Vanessa's arm, trying to go for a hip toss to send Vanessa to the ground.

Seeing Tomomi trying to block her punches, Vanessa would try and increase the pressure on her, smirking in satisfaction as one broke through her defenses and nailed her gut, however! This overconfidence would lead to her being unexpectedly grabbed by Tomomi, giving a surprised cry as she hit the mat with a loud thud.
