SS 16: Angel Vs. Jessica Wright - Page 8 Empty Re: SS 16: Angel Vs. Jessica Wright

Post by Alexandra Sat Aug 20, 2016 4:25 am

Despite her exhaustion, despite the incredible pain running through her body, Angel was at full attention. She had been at this point in a match a hundred times before, the point where a single mistake would end everything, and if she so much as blinked at the wrong time, she would have to pay for it.

That's why, when Jessica suddenly came charging her way, the Latina's gaze snapped straight to her massive body, the former champion watching the Violet rushing at her like an oncoming train. She was ready. She had one chance left, and she was ready.

The moment, the exact moment that Jessica's leg shot up towards her, Angel ducked low, rushing under the kick as she charged back at Jessica. She moved towards her side, and let her own deadly, toned leg fly upwards, arcing a sharp, desperate kick of her own towards the brute's midsection.

SS 16: Angel Vs. Jessica Wright - Page 8 Empty Re: SS 16: Angel Vs. Jessica Wright

Jessica was on the precipice of something great and deep and wide, and threw herself into it with nothing held back. The fight had switched her mind into kill mode long ago, and she was like a cornered animal now. She was reacting, and not being proactive. When she saw Angel on her hands and knees she thought she had an opportunity to go in for the kill, but the Latina turned the tables on her like a true champion would.

The kick staggered her in more ways than one. Angel was surprisingly fresh considering the late stage of the match, and that surprised Jessica. Grit and determination rarely factored in to her matches. Usually, her awesome power was enough to ensure a quick victory. Should the match go any longer, Jessica would be in serious trouble, and she knew that. The second, and by far more important factor, was the pain. Her side lit up with the dull pain that snuck up on wrestlers and brought them to the canvas.

Jessica tried to stay up, clutching her side, closing her eyes and gritting her teeth. But she couldn't. Jessica crashed down to the mat with a loud bang. The culminating effects of everything, her fatigue, her pain, her emotions, finally caught up to her and a few pell-mell steps were not enough to keep her erect. A tear formed in Jessica's eye. She wasn't sure what caused it. And even if she did, she wouldn't really care.

SS 16: Angel Vs. Jessica Wright - Page 8 Empty Re: SS 16: Angel Vs. Jessica Wright

It may have seemed to Jessica that Angel was surprisingly fresh, but the Latina had to admit to herself that she was running on fumes. She was being fueled completely by adrenaline. She was working with a dying battery, and if she didn't finish things right here and right now, then...

She didn't want to think about the rest of that sentence.

Jessica went down from the kick, and even as she fell, Angel was leaning down towards her. She reached out, grabbing Jessica's hair with both of her hands, and started to tug on the woman, trying to pull her right back up again. She was ready to end this. She was going to put Jessica down once and for all. The problem was, she wasn't sure how to do it. Part of her was saying to just use her superkick, just knock Jessica's head off once and for all, but...she wasn't sure. Angel almost felt like her kick had become predictable and stale at this point, and right now, during her big Summer Splash return, she felt like she should do something different.

She didn't have too much time to think over it though. Once she had pulled the Violet back up to her feet, she shoved those thoughts out of her head. She didn't have time to worry about things. She needed to put Jessica down now.

With only a moment's more thought in her head, she slipped behind the brute. Her arms naturally slid around Jessica's waist, pulling the woman in close for a moment. If Jessica thought she could end Angel with a kick, then the Latina was going to steal a page from her book and put her away with a throw. She could see how things would go already: she would lift Jessica up, slam her back down with her beloved German suplex, then pin her and finally end things once and for all.

She closed her eyes, and took a deep breath, and began to heft upwards on Jessica, her arms tight around her waist as she tried to summon up the last of her strength and heave the woman up off of her feet...

SS 16: Angel Vs. Jessica Wright - Page 8 Empty Re: SS 16: Angel Vs. Jessica Wright

Post by LtLukas Sat Aug 20, 2016 5:32 am

Angel drew Jessica upwards with two strong hands in her purple hair. The Latina completely enveloped Jessica with her arms, and was ready to bring her up and over. But Jessica had seen this before. Jessica had seen this a thousand times before. The first time someone had graced her body with a German Suplex was in Davenport, Iowa, when she was still a teenager. That night, Jessica lost, badly. The woman she fought was more mature, more skilled, more powerful. It was an obvious mismatch, and the promoter never should have booked it. That wasn't where her ambition first started, but it was somewhere like that.

And the day after, Jessica asked her dad how to defend against it. It was easy, he said. First, you have to hook your leg under your opponent's leg. The Violent Violet snaked her leg behind Angel's leg to ensure that she would not leave the ground. Then, you gotta send a few elbows back to get a lick in. Jessica sent an elbow backwards into Angel's firm gut. Then, you gotta burst forward to get free. Simple. Jessica inhaled. There was only so much she could do now. She scraped from the bottom of the barrel as she used hip drive and all the strength her squats could imbue as she exploded forward, free from Angel's grasp.

There it was. Her father was a weakling and a shitty wrestler, and Jessica felt she was neither of those things now. She was free too, as the whole expanse of white canvas opened up to her. The Violent Violet took two steps forward as if to prove that she had completely rid herself of the Latina. That could have been it, and Jessica knew that. If it weren't for the fact that she escaped at the very last second, it would have been curtains for her. But Jessica was standing strong, like she always was.

The Violent Violet turned to face her opponent. Jessica was going to make her pay for her mistake, and make her pay hard. Fatigue and pain slowed her movement considerably, but Jessica turned to face her opponent once more. She pulled her left hand back to throw one last punch, to set up one last throw, to put Angel down one last time. Her desperation and her ambition were etched into her face, and spittle and sweat flew from her body as she launched into action.

As Angel tried to haul Jessica off of her feet, the Latina quickly realized her mistake. She was tired. She had little energy left. She just didn't have the strength to pick up the woman and toss her back like she had planned. Even worse, she could feel Jessica squirming in her arms, starting to attempt her escape. She felt their legs entwining together, and before Angel could offer any kind of response, the elbow soon followed, slamming right into her gut.

It felt like an explosion in her belly. It felt like she had been shot, blasted at point-blank with a shotgun. Her arms naturally loosened up as she choked out a pained cry, and soon enough, Jessica had lunged free, stepping away from Angel, stopping the Latina's suplex for good.

She watched as Jessica turned, drawing back her arm as she approached the Latina one last time. For one brief second, everything seemed like it was moving in slow motion. Angel could see Jessica launching herself towards her, and she knew, she knew that it was now or never. This was truly her last chance to end things, one last shot to put the brute down.

With the last little bit of energy and strength she could muster, the Latina's leg shot upwards, her boot aimed straight for Jessica' face. It was her old faithful, her superkick finisher that had won dozens of matches for her. It was The Angel's Kiss, the former champion's last and final effort to finish off her foe and bring the match to it's conclusion.

SS 16: Angel Vs. Jessica Wright - Page 8 Empty Re: SS 16: Angel Vs. Jessica Wright

She should have seen it coming. This is how Angel finished all of her matches. The winning ones, anyways. Jessica was so focused on throwing everything she had at the Latina that she didn't leave anything back for defense. It is how she went through matches, and it was how she went through life. Hit 'em with everything you got, and if they get up, hit 'em some more. She had a sterling record at AFW which evinced that it worked.

Then a kick came flying towards her face. "Oh." was all she could say or do about it. The attack slammed into her head, and the Violent Violet went out like a light. Her body slumped down to the canvas, and her mouth hung open stupidly.

Jessica was out cold.

SS 16: Angel Vs. Jessica Wright - Page 8 Empty Re: SS 16: Angel Vs. Jessica Wright

Jessica dropped to the mat, and Angel was soon to follow. Not entirely by her own choice, the Latina sapped of her strength and barely able to keep herself standing. Jessica fell, and Angel tumbled down after her, dropping down beside the woman.

She groaned weakly, lying there beside the brute, but knowing she still had one last job to do. She pushed herself up, then reached for Jessica, pushing her onto her back. Then, the Latina slid onto her, lifting her leg to make her pinfall attempt.

The referee dropped down beside them, and the crowd jumped to their feet, counting along as the count began. "ONE...!"

TWO!!

Jessica was still lifeless. Her chest rose and fell very slowly, which showed that she was still breathing, but when she watched the video later she wasn't quite sure how. The Violent Violet had gotten completely rocked. Finally, someone had given the big bad Jessica Wright her comeuppance.

She didn't move a muscle. Jessica couldn't. Her mind was still swimming in the inky blackness.

SS 16: Angel Vs. Jessica Wright - Page 8 Empty Re: SS 16: Angel Vs. Jessica Wright

Angel pushed down on Jessica. She held her leg tight, her eyes clamped shut, waiting, hoping, praying that this was finally the end.

"THREE...!"

The bell rang, signalling the end of the match, and with an almost shocked look on her face, Angel dropped Jessica's leg and sat up. She could barely believe it. She was certain, one hundred percent certain, that Jessica was going to kick out and that the match was going to continue.

It was over though. Angel had taken Jessica down, she had somehow had taken the monstrous Jessica down, and the victory was now hers.

With ragged breath and a heaving chest, Angel began to climb back to her feet, the referee taking her hand and raising her arm once she was back on both feet. She stood there, forgetting about Jessica for the moment, basking in her big win as the crowd erupted into cheers and applause around them.

Oh yeah. Angel was back.

Jessica's eyes opened, then closed. She had been knocked out. Angel was standing and the ref was holding her hand high in the air, which only meant one thing. This was her first time on the biggest stage of them all, and the Violent Violet completely dropped the ball. She wished she hadn't woken up just now, and that the medical aid people would just come on through and help her out.

She rolled over. Jessica didn't want to get up. Part of her felt like laying on this white expanse of canvas forever, and given how much pain she was in, that was pretty feasible. Her head throbbed, her whole body showed fatigue past anything reasonable, and already bruises were starting to form.

The Violent Violet groaned.
