It did seem that Lorenza had calmed herself done a fair bit now. So Yvettes attempts to cause a frenzy were pretty much in vain. Still she took a little satisfaction from goading Lorenza though. It seemed though, Lorenza was more serious than ever. Without a first round knockout this was going to be just another match, so Lorenza had already lost a large amount of the prestige from this match already. Now many people would think that Yvette had lengthened the distance between them so she could just stand back and taunt the more experienced boxer. But that was far from it. She had increased the distance to give herself far more time to be able to predict what Lorenza was going to do. She could use the time to prepare herself. Her strategy for this entire round relied on one thing - keeping Lorenza on the offensive.

As sure as day, Lorenza made her move, coming at Yvette with a controlled and steady pace, not the charge of reckless abandon that Yvette had hoped for. So it meant Lorenza had her head screwed on, which was going to make significantly harder for Yvette to control the round. Yvette watched her pace in her head, counting, keeping that rhythm ticking, she was trying to work out how Lorenza would attack. And indeed, once within range, Lorenza fired off some rapid punches into her guard, except, Yvette wasn't there. The second Lorenza had gotten into striking range, Yvette ducked down and weaved her body to the left, the spread out legs allowing her more sideways manoeuvrability to make this move possible.

Yvette now in the advantageous position would pay back Lorenza for the strike to the head from the last round by firing a rapid but not overtly powerful jab to the side of the head, before following it up by getting a step closer and throwing a right hook into her gut. She was just about to throw another punch when she heard her ringside coach yelling 'Danger' snapping her back into her game plan. The closer she was to Lorenza, the more chances she had of being countered, so distance was the key. Bringing her legs back together, she almost gracefully span around Lorenza, before back peddling to the otherside of the ring, this time though, her legs were closer together, guard up once more, bouncing up and down and staying as mobile as she could.

Lorenza thought nothing of moving in on the offensive to fire a few jabs at Yvette. Even if that was what the blonde was expecting, even what she was hoping for...so what? Lorenza's skills far outstripped whatever Yvette could bring to the table. The young American was dangerous when it came to how fast those feet of hers carried her around the ring. She had a powerful punch, to be sure, but it would take hundreds of point-blank shots to take down the former Mexican champion. Lorenza could walk right into what Yvette probably would call a trap and come out the other side further in the lead on the scorecards.

Lorenza moved in, not dawdling, but also not charging in reckless as a bull just loosed from his corral. She moved at her own pace, marching forward into battle with a steady gait, sure that she was looming large above Yvette and that the younger boxer had no chance against her. As soon as she was in range, she fired off a fast combination of jabs. The first one hit only blonde hair, sending a tassel of it flying but otherwise doing no damage. The next jab hit nothing at all.

Lorenza stopped punching the air as she turned to follow Yvette. Before she could turn all the way, her swift opponent nailed her, hitting her with a hard jab to the side of her head which threw Lorenza's face to the other side, before then throwing a right hook right into Lorenza's stomach. The Mexican boxer's upper body lurched forward as she almost doubled over from the sudden blow, coughing and spluttering, a few drops of saliva flying out of her mouth and splashing across the canvas underneath her. Lorenza was definitely hurt by that blow. But it was not just pain that it caused. Now, she was starting to get angry again. She whipped around, watching Yvette dance away. If she had stayed close for a second longer, Lorenza would have nailed her again. Put her down on her fine, firm ass again.

With plenty of space between them, Lorenza would spread her arms to her sides, holding out her gloved hands as if begging for Yvette to try something else. Is that all you've got? Is that as hard as you can hit? Lorenza might have been asking, before she would put up her guard and bounce forward, light on her feet once again, trying to ignore the stinging in her gut.

It felt quite satisfying to get one on Lorenza. Her plan worked without a falut and she scored two hits and danced away before taking any damage herself. That should at the very least put her in charge of the round right now. All she had to do was keep this up and she would do brilliantly. She didn't get a chance to see how much damage her punches did, right after the gut punch, Yvette had gotten away.

Lorenzas body language though speaker volumes. Her stance dominant, and her anger somewhat apparent. Her beckoning call, shaking the punches off as if they were nothing was a little disconcerting. It made Yvette think abit and did install a little fear in her. She had to stay focused though. She had to recount and get Lorenzas rhythm again. So once more she began counting as the former champion bounced on her feet and got closer. This time the pace was much faster, the punches were going to be even faster by the looks of it so Yvette had to be ready, lowering her arms into a midguard, to keep herself agile, Yvette kept bouncing and weaving her body, eager to keep that ball of energy in herself shining bright. There was an issue however, she was now in Lorenzas corner, out of hearing range of her own coach, who had snapped her back into reality before it was too late the last time. This time yhogh, Lorenza pretty much had the home advantage, and Yvette was all in her own.

Lorenza had to admit, getting hit like that by a rookie and being unable to hit back before said rookie danced out of range was irritating. She still wasn't thinking of herself as angry, but maybe she was just in denial. Yvette was a little stinker, trying all sorts of tricks to compensate for the incredibly large gap between her experience and Lorenza's. Lorenza was a former world champion. Yvette was a rookie with only a couple of matches under her belt. No sanctioning organization other than AFW would have let these two fight. But here they were, and Yvette was...surviving.

The Tigress of Tijuana would move in again, bouncing a little more swiftly on her feet as she slid forward towards her opponent. Her belly and face were still smarting after the last two hits she took, but she ignored them and soldiered forward. Yvette had made a small tactical error by backing up towards Lorenza's corner, restricting her movement somewhat—though she probably already had avenues of escape planned out—and making it more difficult for her to hear her coach. Lorenza would be looking to throw her into the corner and thrash her. The Tigress savored the opportunity to do so.

Stepping forward, Lorenza would launch a quick jab at Yvette's face, trying to get her to bring her guard up to deflect it, and then would throw a lower punch with her right glove, trying to tag Yvette in her midsection quickly before bringing her gloves back up in front of her own face. She wanted to keep Yvette where she was and get at least a small amount of revenge for the hits she herself had just taken!

Yvette had her work cut out for her. The skill gap between the two of them was huge, but so far, she had held up. In her head she began to count... 1...2...1...2. Lorenza's speed had increased and it meant that moving with her was going to be harder.

It didn't take long for Lorenza to get close. And before Yvette could do much Lorenza went In for the strike, throwing the jab. Thankfully right into Yvette's trap. As she threw the punch, Yvette ducked down, once again Lorenzas punch hitting nothing but thin air. Yvette was going to throw her strike but Lorenza fired off what should of been a midsection punch turned into a face punch. Yvette was able to twist her face to let the punch graze her. It stung but it could of been worse.

Yvette had to press on. Getting trapped here would be dangerous, letting Lorenza pretty much devesate her in her home corner. Weaving to the side once more she was able to fire off a quick jab to the ribs. Once more she danced back to the opposite corner, this time though she decided to push the boat out, see how far she could push Lorenza. Waiting for Lorenza to turn around, when she did turn around Yvette would raise his gloves and pretend to cry like a baby, lifting her gloves up twisting her wrists several times, trying to agiagte Lorenza, trying to pole her about her inability to land a solid bit this round. Once more Yvette raised her gloves and began shifting her body around, waiting and counting.

Lorenza's eyes widened slightly when she realized what she had done. How thick was her skull that she couldn't see the exact same trap coming twice? She hadn't even considered the possibility that Yvette would just dodge underneath this jab the same way she had ducked under her last salvo. Either Lorenza was stupid or forgetful, and she would not forgive herself for this sort of tactical error. She knew her coach and corner team would harp on her for it as soon as this round was over. She didn't look at them right now, but even now they were giving her some hard looks. She didn't have to look. She knew.

But random chance, or something damn close to it, bailed her out. This time, she had decided to try something a little more nuanced herself. She had hoped to draw Yvette's gloves up towards her face, and then nail her in her hard abs while they were undefended. She had not been expecting Yvette to duck. But when she did duck, the blonde ran her face right into Lorenza's rising jab.

Well, not right into it. It grazed her, throwing her to the side. Before Lorenza could follow it up, Yvette would throw a punch at her ribs that Lorenza, in turn, would turn away from and allow to just skid along her side. It warmed her flesh a little, but did little damage besides. Yvette skittered away, running like a kid who owed the school bully lunch money. Lorenza turned and would follow closely, not letting Yvette get too far away this time.

Yvette continued to taunt Lorenza. Now, she raised her gloves and rubbed them around her face, signifying the crying of a baby. Lorenza snorted, resisting the desire to roll her eyes and potentially leave herself vulnerable to a counter. Instead, she just pressed on. She got close, almost too close, moving in to a distance from which it would be difficult to throw a straight punch. She wanted to make Yvette uncertain, now, and maybe use the younger boxer's speed to her own advantage. Lorenza would throw a left jab at Yvette's right side, trying to body the girl up with a smack to the ribs. Anticipating a lurch by Yvette to her left to try to avoid letting this punch hit her square on, Lorenza's second punch of the combination was thrown with her right glove, and it would be a curving haymaker to the face! Lorenza was hoping that Yvette, in jumping away from the first punch, would run her head right into the second!

Yvette knew she was pushing it right now. She knew that her luck had to come crashing down at some point, and right now, Yvette could not help but feel like she was currently pushing it. She had gone the entire rou D and not taken a solid hit, this was perfect. Keep this up til the bell and the round would be hers and she would be back in the game. It wasn't that easy though, it was only half way over, still a lot time for the mother of all fuckups to change everything.

Lorenza focused and charged in, Yvette eager to keep the advantage would take a step back when she got way to close for comfort, the only downside was it narrowed her options, she was pretty much in the corner now, if she didn't escape, she was in a bitch of a situation. Her coach seem to agree, warning Yvette to get out, forget attacking, just get out. Lorenza had speed of her though and fired off a jab at her body, Yvette predictability lurched to avoid and at that moment, the crowd cheered like no tomorrow. Yvette had walked into a trap, out of nowhere a blinding haymaker smashed into her face, her head snalpong to the side spittle and saliva jumping f her mouth as the punch stunned the younger boxer, and caused her to stagger back. She could feel her back pressing against the turnbuckle, this wasn't good, Lorenza was prettyucj right in front of her and she was too out of it to respond, she had been trapped in her own corner, her coach was shouting outz trying to get Yvette back into her senses.

Nearly a minute had passed already in this round. A minute. Lorenza could hardly believe that, seeing as how neither of them had landed very many shots at all during that time. Lorenza tried, and Yvette would tag her back and then dance away. Lorenza tried again, and again Yvette danced. Combined with the posturing and the taunting gestures, it was no wonder this much time had been taken off the clock. If Lorenza were judging, she would want to deduct points from the both of them for such a pathetic round.

But, finally, Lorenza made it interesting. No more dancing, no more skittering away like a squirrel . Yvette was backed up into the corner, and in order to get out of it she would have to move to the side. That she did, and when she did, Lorenza was ready for her. It was Lorenza, now, who was tricking her opponent, letting Yvette carry herself right into Lorenza's glove. Her foe's face smashed itself against the glove, and, shocked, Yvette would stumble back into the turnbuckle. With a small smile, Lorenza would follow.

"Heh," she would intone, once again getting close to Yvette, almost close enough that their legs were tangled. She stood just far enough back, however, to unleash a rain of punches on her blonde foe, mainly targeting Yvette's chest and belly as she would try to really batter the girl's toned midsection, trying to keep her pinned in the corner by throwing her back into the turnbuckle with each blow!

This was bad. Really bad. Yvette had been cornered and now there was no going back, Lorenza had closed the gap and made sure that she was going nowhere. Yvette was expecting a barrage of face shots, raising her jazed guard to compensate for her dazed state. Sadly Lorenza had a different plan, instead going for a nasty barrage of concentrated punches to her midsection, her chest taking a good part of the beating also.

Punch after punch landed on the younger boxer, each one forcing her to double over and lurch forward, only to be shoved back into her place by Lorenza. Yvette kept coughing spittle and saliva after each punch, her stomach flaring up like a wildfire after each punch landed, the chest shits while they didn't hurt so much, they winded her and made her more exhausted.

In the corner, her coach was shouting out, clearly angry that Lorenza had gotten her into this situation, shouting for Yvette to get her guard sorted out. Yvette did get her guard sorted, it took 10 nasty punches, but finally her guard lowered to protect herself. The only issue was it left her face more vulnerable. But at least her guard was absorbing the blows now. Yvette had to act fast, if she got trapped like this for the rest of the round it would spell doom for her. The space was tight, almost impossible to manuenever, her only hope was to lash out to convince Lorenza to back off.

Yvette took her chance, firing off a rapid jab to the face. Trying to rip through Lorenzas offence and land the punch. It might of taken a hundred punches to the face to knock the former champion out, but Yvette knew that winning would require doing it one punch at a time.

Lorenza Saldano Vs Yvette King - Standard Boxing - Page 3 Empty Re: Lorenza Saldano Vs Yvette King - Standard Boxing

Lorenza had once again turned the tables on Yvette. Both rounds, so far, had seen the younger woman jump out to a hot start, dodging punches and tagging Lorenza in her body and her face with sudden surprise blows which frustrated the veteran boxer and her efforts to establish complete control of the fight. But then, Yvette, in her naivety, would make a mistake. She would take a wrong step, or fall for a feint that Lorenza threw at her. And then, the round was all Lorenza's. Soon, the Mexican powerhouse would take the whole match from her pesky pugilist foe.

Lorenza unleashed on her foe. Jab after jab, quick but powerful, to her belly and to her chest. Lorenza did not focus in on one particular part, figuring that, since Yvette had already been thrown for a loop more than once, that it might be worthwhile to do her best to convince the girl not to get back up the next time she went down. To make her whole body hurt, so that once she went down she would have to seriously question whether getting back up was worth it—so that the fatigue would literally make it impossible to get back up. She smacked Yvette's chest and belly hard, trying to force her back into the corner, to cut off all routes of escape.

It took the blonde a few seconds, but she did eventually lower her guard to protect her midsection. That, of course, left her face wide open, and Lorenza was going to take advantage of that.

Yvette got to her face first. The jab came in fast, and Lorenza was momentarily stunned, overwhelmed by the sound and the feeling of the leather whapping against her features. She would take a step back, giving Yvette some space. But she wouldn't let Yvette out of the corner without a fight. If Yvette came forward, Lorenza would swing a right hook at the girl's cheek, trying to return the favor of the punch to the face and send her spinning!
