Kazuhira "Wild Dog" Ito

Ito Kazuhira has spent the majority of his life as a tool for others, an obedient dog carrying out whatever he was told, no matter how viscous, brutal, or cold-hearted. For this, his reward has been the mistrust of his colleges, the ire of his former friends, and a generally shitty attitude about rules.

Kazuhira's childhood was largely unremarkable, though not strictly boring. His father was a policeman, strict and traditional, and though Kazuhira respected him greatly, he did not always agree with his methods. When he observed the behavior of schoolyard bullies, he chose to open dialogue with them, to understand and try to correct their behavior. When a group of boys would target another for his lunch money, Kazuhira would join them, only to give his own money to the victim later. Of course, he would dish out his father's form of punishment from time to time, but it never really suited him.

As he grew up, he followed in his father's footsteps, joining the police force as well, and, though he gained a reputation for going soft on most criminals, he eventually rose through the ranks and earned his own prestige. His talent for empathy did not go unnoticed by everyone, however, and soon he was given a unique proposition: to act as an undercover cop infiltrating the Yakuza.

As this tends to go, Ito found himself very deeply tied with other mafia members on an emotional level in order to keep his cover. This was only compounded by his natural empathy, his desire to see things from both sides of the story. Despite committing some heinous crimes in order to deflect suspicion, Kazuhira could not help but see most of his Yakuza friends as unfortunate victims, rather than antagonists. Still, he was committed to his duty, and when it came down to it, he provided the police with all the information needed to bust his associates.

But this ordeal changed Kazuhira. Hardened him. When he found out that some of his Yakuza friends had slipped through the cracks, he dealt with them personally to keep himself in the clear. Whether or not this was known by the police has never been discussed, but since then, he has been regarded with suspicion and mistrust, and his presence in almost any situation was barely tolerated. However, his contribution in the number of busts that occurred could also not be overlooked, and since then he has been allowed to largely operate on his own, becoming instrumental in the breakup of several smaller gangs.

Now his attention has turned towards a completely different avenue: showbusiness. The AFW has been notorious among Japanese police for their specialized contracts, allowing a variety of acts that would be considered highly illegal in most settings to not only become legal, but broadcasted around the world, among their performers. While a number of deals and legal contracts with government officials make the AFW higher-ups untouchable regarding these performances, Ito has a suspicion that several criminals were using the drama and theatrics to cross the line. The brutality, sexuality and vagrancy of the AFW has spilled into street brawls, private torture and even off-the-record sexual assault, and Ito is even willing to consider that there is illicit money exchanging hands for these things to happen. Whatever it is, it's bad news, and he's taken it upon himself to stop it.

Now, all he needs is a way to prove it. And he's got a few tricks up his sleeve to do just that.
