Yvette King Vs NegInk (Aka Neggy) - Double Debut

Yvette:

Yvette's début was supposed to be her chance to shine. To show the people of the momentum! league that she meant business. However it seemed not to be her day. It was quite pessimistic but it was true. Ever since she found out a week ago who she was fighting, she had already resigned herself to a defeat. The question in her mind was how embarrassing was it going to be. She could still remember receiving the letter perfectly in her head. She had been paired against a new boxer too. Well, new to the league at least. While that wasn't a concern, the weight difference was. Normally a match up like this would never even be allowed to happen, but Momentum! never had those kind of rules, so instead it was allowed to happen.

Yvette had been in the gym every day that week in preparation. Spending her entire day there. Training and more training. At first is started with speed training, making sure that her best asset was in good form, but then she learned how fast Neggy was, that was thrown out of the window. Instead, Endurance training. Lots of endurance training. She started to spar out of her weight class too, trying to prepare herself. Finally as the week came to a end, she was ready. Well as ready as she could be. And that was led her to here.

There was no more putting it off. Her music had just started playing, so now it was time to go face the music. Walking out onto the ramp in her standard Attire; her tight black short tank top and tight workout pants with her signature golden gloves. Walking down to the ring, Yvette noticed how many people were here. The place was packed, to the brim. She had never boxed in a place as big as this. Approaching the ring, Yvette climbed in, looking around one more time before swinging her arms in preparation. Taking a moment to look at the crowd again, Yvette took off to her corner as her music ended. Now it was just a matter of waiting for her opponent.

Neggy was feeling good being in a new league. Her mom told her it would be good to see how she does in league like this before getting her bigger fights and such. When Neggy learned of her opponent and took note of the differences in weight and height. She was use to fighting smaller girls since not a lot of girls were big like her family.

Leading up to the fight Neggy had three ideas in my mind on how her opponent will try to fight her. The first was using her legs and trying to outbox her. Neggy already had that cover. She fought people that did that before. She took note of how they would go after her body too. Anyway the next idea that cross her mind is that her opponent would work on her learning how to take a punch from bigger fighters and increase her stamina. Neggy loved fighting those the most since they would become living punching bags near the 3 or 4 round out on their feet wondering where they went wrong. Lastly, she had an offhanded idea that she would try to be aggressive and work her body early. She doubted she would do that since it would be an early KO win for her.

Anyway the week leading up to the fight she would work on protecting her body and cutting off the ring with her mother. Neggy felt great heading into fight because she didn't overdo anything. She was ready to show these people just how good she was. She has been fighting since she was 7 years old so she wasn't a rookie to this sport.

When fight night came she was backstage with her seconds and mother as they waited for her music to hit. When her music did hit the crowd was taken a back since it was uncommon intro music. Neggy was deck out in her four attire. She was looking to make a big impact while keeping things classy. Her mother told her to stay away from the flashy one for now and settle for the more creative and unique style. Neggy was wearing half black and white sport bra, trunks, boots. Everything had a little trim to boot. As she made her way to the ring, she caught the idea of her opponent and noticed how well tone her body is but not as rip.

She gets into the ring to a warm reception from what seems to be a sold out crowd. Neggy was focus and ready to hit the ground running in this fight and make a name for herself. She wants to be a world champion one day and this is the first step.

Yvette kept careful eye on her opponent as she walked up to the ring. It was terrible for her. This girl was muscled to the extreme almost. That explained the weight. If Yvette was going to stand a chance at all, she needed to be quicker somehow. There was no way that someone that heavy was going to be that fast. All she had to do was be faster, wear Neggy out and then take the win. Okay, there was more to it than that, and that in itself was a near impossible feat. Once Neggy had gotten settled, the Ref called them both to the centre of the ring. Yvette would walk on over, trying to be confident in her stride. She didn't want to show weakness afterall.

Looking at the girl, Yvette could see the height difference. It wasn't alot, but it did give Neggy the reach advantage. The ref ran through the rules, and Yvette kept her eyes focused on Neggy. When the ref ordered them to touch gloves, Yvette would put as much power as she could into it, to try and show that she meant business and to try and intimidate her. Though she wasn't sure how well it would work. After that, she too a step back and raised her gloves to protect her face, spacing her legs out and bouncing on er feet once to make sure she had some spring in her feet. All she had to do now was wait for the bell to ring and for the bell to ring.

Neggy had a warm simile on her. when the ref called them to the center. She held out her gloves the whole time as the ref went over the rules. She went to let her have her strong tab but she return wit ha stronger one showing she wasn't going to be outdone. She backs off and gets her mouthpiece before putting her guard up. She got into a tight orthodox stance.

"I am getting a feeling she is going to try and wear me down. I mean everyone tries so it's not an off base." Neggy thought as she waited the bell.

(Round 1: Yvette Post 1)

It seemed that her attempt at intimidating Neggy didn't work as she came back even harder than Yvette did. Yvette ignored the smile. She was now focused on trying to win. With her gloves up she waited for the bell. It was painstaking to wait, even though the wait was a few seconds, it felt like minutes. She never took her eyes off Neggy, even when the bell rang to signal the start of the first round.

As soon as the bell went, Yvette went right into fight mode. Her first move was to take a step back and start circling slightly to the left. Yvette was not stupid. She was going to go for a direct attack, simply because it would give Neggy the perfect counter attack. No. Instead she was going to let Neggy do all the work for the first round. Neggy had more energy. Might as well let her waste hers before Yvette started to use hers.

Neggy still had her grin struck on her face with her gloves up to her chin and sees her moving around at angles. She was impress at this approach since it smart. She already knew she was a good fighter. Neggy starts to circle her right on her dominant foot. She wasn't going to throw any punches yet. She was looking to see if she can get the counter going.

(Round 1: Yvette Post 2)

It seemed that Neggy was not so stupid herself. She wasn't charging in, something that Yvette had expected since Neggy had a stupid high weight advantage. All she had to do was charge in and clobber Yvette a few times and it was going to be over. That statement rung true in her head a few times. Despite wanting to, Yvette had to bite the urge to just charge in, that would get her killed. If she was going to hurt Neggy at all, she had to play it clever.

Instead of charging, Yvette instead tightened the rotation of the circle, bring them slowly closer together, unless Neggy decided to step back. If she didn't ad the circle closed, then Yvette would stick her left arm out, using it to try and intercept anything coming her way, as well as make her punch more accurate. Staying as far away as she could, Yvette would attempt a right jab into Neggy's abs. Most likely useless if it hit, but it if did hit, it was a hit nevertheless.

Yvette did make a point of immediately back peddling after throwing the punch, back peddling several steps and with her arms up. Making sure she was out of Neggy's reach. There was no way she was getting trapped in close quarters with her yet.

(Round 1 Neggy Post 2)

Neggy notice as they drew closer with the circling. She saw how she prepare her left to counter. Though she notice the right jab to the body. Instead of blocking it, Neggy step back and made the punch miss. She took note of her back pedaling after throwing that punch.

Neggy leads with her right foot and goes to moves in throwing her a sniping stiff left jab to her left eye looking to land the first hit of the body. She readies her right for any counters. Neggy kenw to to keep this fight at the right distance. She was ready to give the crowd action. She knew they didn't come to see sparring.

(Round 1: Yvette Post 3)

Yvette nearly cursed as the punch missed. Neggy was alot faster than she thought. However the back peddling had given her a advantage, and in one way she was glad that she did it. The peddling had managed to give her time to pre-empt. When Neggy came forward, right foot leading, Yvette knew something was up, it gave her just enough time to spectacular duck under and to the right, allowing her to avoid the punch altogether. It was good to see that her training had paid off. She actually felt like all those years of boxing were paying off now.

She couldn't let an opportunity like this to go to waste. It wasn't a powerful blow, but Yvette would fire off a right hook towards Neggy's closet Rib. Power wasn't her main piroity here. It was speed. She threw the punch and then got out, peddling to the side before proceeding to back peddle into the centre of the ring, so that she was behind Neggy. If she needed to, she wouldn't even throw the punch. Her main priority was escaping. While some would call it being cowardly, she would call it being smart. Getting stuck with Neggy, that close to the corner of the ring would be dangerous. Neggy hadn't been broken down yet. No up and close punch outs until Neggy had been punched down a bit.

Neggy felt a touch but usually though, those who go after her body would have power behind it. The punch didn't hurt her. She felt it though. Neggy watched Yvette danced away from her gracefully .She took note she shouldn't chase her all over the ring since she knew what she was doing. Though she had an idea. Neggy turns around and moves in again and this time fakes a wide right hook before performing a quick sidestep her side. She would then sidestep to Yvette' left flank and fire off a barrage of left jabs to the cheek. She was throwing six to be exact and then back pedal a little back herself.
