Bring it on. I am ready for anything.
There you have it, folks. Apollyon is ready to rumble in any match type. Just let me know beforehand.

We're on the board specifically to collaborate with other people. This is another way to do that, and in the process is greases the wheels of Tension stuff. If you don't like it, don't do it.
Example 1: Johnny Higurashi is a Tension wrestler. His wife is Taylor Parker. They are already supporting each other 100% in each of their matches, but if they were a Tension duo the other would of course be at ringside every match to support them, cheer them on, scream advice and obscenities, etc. Everything they accomplish would be together.
Example 2: Ro Laren is a Tension wrestler, and friend of Johnny's. If they were a duo, the complicating factors would be 1. Johnny's married to Taylor, 2. Ro's breasts are huge, and 3. Taylor deals with another chick working closely with Johnny, Johnny deals with balancing a working relationship and friendship without straying too far.
Example 3: Talia Wilson, AKA Dark Angel, is a long time arch rival of Cassie Elliot, Johnny's friend, as well as Johnny himself. If somehow fate conspired to throw them together as a duo, they'd have a bad time. They had one date last year and share a mutual attraction, as well as some form of mutual hatred stemming from circumstances and things they've done. They might share a common goal, but working together to get there would be tough.
That's IC stuff. It's an IC device. I don't know specifically how mods plan on handling it, but that's the idea. OOC, just do what you do. Being a solo wrestler might result in situations like John Mitchel looking at Kent Quick with the title, and he doesn't want to fight him. If a guy is champ, you are free to rp your guy character never getting a shot until maybe something changes. Logistics are the easy part though, since we make them up. Making things interesting to write, IC, is the harder part.

I guess it is possible but like I said before, the main focus of this is the storyline element and having a duo with your own characters would not add anything in the way of interaction and storyline development with other member. In essence, if you created a duo with your own characters you would lose a lot of the big positives that we intend to create. And besides, if you wanted a duo with your own characters just so you could have a female character take the place of one of your males in a match, you could just ask a mod nicely on a few occasions to see if we can make that happen somehow " title="Smile" />
[quote="Lobo":dud3cx62]I seem to remember in Rules and Info, Kelsea's description of the Sex Wars title was that you would have to fight all genders to keep it. That makes sense and is logical because everyone wants to fight the champ
Don't know if that was in the rules and info or not, but I pretty certain that I have always been against the idea that if you end up with a male v male title match you'd just have to suck it up and do the match.

Anybody wanna be the dysfunctional duo for Clyde to make him eat his boots in frustration? Anyone? I'll read you the sunday comics. Ok no I wont.
In fact I dunno if I'll do anything with the duo until we get another set of duos.

[quote="Tatyina":2pkkkv8y]Having said all that, we feel like it will definitely bring a lot more drama to the table. A REAL chance for people to start REAL storylines in Tension and hopefully have a lot of fun with it.
I'm just not seeing the point of this and what it's supposed to accomplish. If anything, I can see people looking at it and going 'Oh, I have to have a partner to get anywhere in Tension? Eh, seems like too much trouble/what if I can't find someone?/etc'. It could turn off new people from getting involved with Tension too, looking at it as having to find a partner while they're new and don't know anyone on the boards at all.
Then, looking at it from an angle I reeeally hate to look at it from, there's potential for a lot of drama there. You go from having a minimum of two people in a storyline to a minimum of four. Now instead of having two people to direct a storyline and try to both have it go in a direction that everyone is happy with, you have four people doing so. Seems like you could end up with a lot of problems that way, too.
[quote="Bluemouse":2pkkkv8y]Alex is worried that his Tension character will have a hard time finding a 2nd.
