Valley Doll and Chris Morgan vs. the IRS Empty Valley Doll and Chris Morgan vs. the IRS

Throughout her twelve years wrestling, Valley had seen and done many things. There was the Rage in a Cage match. Classic. Eight women entered, one woman left...and the other seven women left after that, but the first one was the only one that mattered. The epic backstage brawl between Linda 'the Lightning' Lassly and Rockette. She'd the Barbie Bomber powerbomb a girl through three - THREE! - tables from the top rope. The Electric Barb Wire match. The Fools in the Pool match. The Iron Furry match.

She thought she was ready for anything. Thought she could take whatever the world threw at her. Then she tried to do her taxes after moving to Japan. Papers. Just papers. And papers. With numbers. Numbers that made no sense. And when she called people in America about it, they just confused her even more.

Valley was crazy enough to take on Amethyst Velour and the Triple Threat. But the IRS? No, thank you.

She needed help. She needed Chris Morgan.

Valley tracked her down and invited her to the apartment, taking up the phenom's offer to help her get organized. Which meant she had to tidy up and actually get her forms in order, which was, just now doing because she stayed up late watching an I Love Lucy marathon on Nick-at-Night. She rushed around in her jeans and white T, shooing her cat off the table before he could mess all her order up with a leisurely stroll.

"Go on, eat your food, Mommy's got work to do." He hissed her way and she hissed back, before turning back to the table.

Chris Morgan pulled up to Val's apartment building. Stepping out of her black Honda Accord coupe, the tall blond had come dressed for the battle at hand. Clad in black, hip hugging pants and a matching blazer over a white button up shirt, the outfit was capped off with a pair of black high heels and pair of thin, black rimmed glasses. It was a look that few in the AFW had seen the Californian in, but she believed in the right clothing for the right job.
Taking out a small carrying case that held her laptop, she also produced a bottle of wine. With those, she made her way towards Valerie's apartment, checking numbers as she went.
When she got Val's call, Chris had been a little surprised that her fellow American had actually decided to take her up on the offer, considering they had met in a wrestling ring instead of at a bank or some other institution. Accepting Val's invitation, Chris had gotten the bottle of wine on the way to the Californian's apartment as a gift for her fellow blonde.
Stopping outside of Val's door, she double checked the number and then knocked, before settling in to wait...

Valley went to the peephole and looked out straight into a very familiar chest. Yup, that was Chris, all right. She'd come dressed sharp, too, clearly taking this 100% serious. All of the sudden Valley felt a little too casual for the meeting, looking like she was dressed for a casual night out instead of tax filing. Too late now, though.

She undid the locks and opened the door. "Hey!" She opened the door wide, letting her in. "Welcome to my little piece of Cali, thanks for stopping by. There's a grumpy cat wandering around, watch out for him."

"Oh a cat?" Chris smiled as she entered Valley's apartment. "I love them!"
Looking about, she spied the cat in question and waved with one of her occupied hands.
"Hey there little guy~!" she called out.

Looking back at Val, Chris saw her casual attire and mentally sighed to herself. She was always doing this, dressing up for things that she could've, and probably should've, gone casual to.
"I overdressed for this, didn't I?" she said, bemused. "Sorry, finances are my other job and so I just wore my work clothes. I can be a fashion dunce sometimes."
Holding up the still cold bottle of red wine, a moderately priced Merlot, Chris said with a grin "Here you go, nourishment for the taxpayer under siege. Feel free to uncork that once we get things squared away."

Valentine popped his head up from behind the couch with his ears perked, spying a newcomer and looking on with curious eyes. Maybe it was the hair. Maybe her suit. Maybe he just thought Chris smelled like fish. Whatever the reason, he had no problem hopping down, strolling over, and brushing up against Chris' leg, purring as he rubbed against her.

"Oh, that's how it is." Valley shook her head. "He's buttering up to you, trying to get into your good graces." She stepped over and gave the tabby a little poke with her toe. "Keep it up. I know where you keep your toys."

She took the bottle with a blushing face, not knowing what to say for a moment as she stepped back. "I...thank you." It was a vintage bottle, too, not the cheap kind you get from Wal-Mart when you want a late night sip. "Seriously, wow. Thanks. And you're fine dressed like that. You look super-slick."

"Oh it's not much, really." Chris waved off Valley's thanks about the wine. "At the very least it'll work for celebration once we're done getting you through the horrors of handling your income taxes while in a foreign country."
Kneeling down on one knee the tall American ran her hand down along the cat's back.
"And a hello to you too.." she told it before Val's poke shooed him away.

Standing back up, Chris smiled at her fellow Californian while taking a look around at her apartment.
"This is nice, I like it." she said. "Did you get your furniture here in Japan? I tried, but really, they don't make much furniture for people my size, so I just wound up bringing in a lot of stuff from back home. Clothes too...you should've seen the look on the saleslady's face at the store I went to when I walked in...."

Valley looked the statuseque stunner over."Yeah, I can see how clothes might be a problem. I'd offer some of my stuff, but unless you want to rock the tight look..." She shrugged and spun her way into the kitchen, where the imposing stack awaited. "Not that you wouldn't make my AD/DC shirt look good. Up until you ripped it apart, anyway."

Valley popped open the fridge and made room for the bottle, pushing aside some of the ready-made dinners she had on ice. Ever since she started dating Ace, she ate out more often, but she was still in the habit of buying a certain amount of stuff each week. Had to get off it. "And thanks - not much, but it fits me and my cat and my girlfriend, on occasion. I sold my things off and bought new things here - my Mom knew a guy that knew a guy that knew a guy."

"Hey, I like AC/DC. I'd take care not to rip it. Stretch it out maybe...." Chris replied with a grin. "Thanks for the compliment though."
She followed Val into the kitchen after a final wave of her fingers at the cat.
"Girlfriend?" the taller of the blondes said. "Oh, that's right, you mentioned her, after our match. Ace, right? I saw that little bit of fun you had with those masked girls. Hilarious."
She chuckled as she remembered watching it from the back, Val and Ace's take on the two women had her in a rare good mood that night.

The Californian cocked her head at the sight of the stack that awaited her.
"Oh...are these our opponents for the night?" she asked, setting her laptop case on a counter and unzipping it.

"Oh, you're a rock-girl, too?" She dug some water bottles out of the fridge and set them on the table, closing the door with a quick kick. "You're like my bigger, better dressed, clone. With added math skills. Nice."

Valley couldn't help but smile a bit at the mention of Ace and their promo. She didn't care so much about being watched herself, but the exposure was good for Ace. Getting her out there, spreading her name where she could. "Glad you liked it." She took a seat and popped open her bottle, taking a few tentative sips. "Been a while since I had the chance to cut a promo, forgot how fun it could be. Like getting creative with them."

She leaned forward and waved her hand over the pile. "Yes, this is the fabled Pile of Death I told you about." She picked up one of the papers and tried to make sense of it. Failed. Then put it back down. "So, how do we work your magic?"

"Well, added math skills, but apparently reduced ability to make good decisions when it comes to my wrestling career." Chris replied to Valley's compliment with a depreciating smile. "You've got me beat in that department."

Heading over the pile, Chris began to take out her laptop and began setting up.
"Yeah, I haven't done a promo since my days in the Wrestle Angels. Although, I haven't done anything as creative as that. That was comedic gold." she said as she turned on the computer. "Not to mention, it couldn't happen to a more deserving group of people. I have them on my list of people that I have to watch my back for, if I ever have to face one of them. Just because I know they're like wolves; for every one you see in front of you, they've got another at your back. Ah there we go."

Looking up as her laptop finished powering up, Chris opened a document file containing all of Japan's income tax laws.
"Ha...I wish it were magic. A wave of my hand and poof, a pile of money appears on the table, all legal and worry free." she chuckled. "I have most of the our countries tax laws in my head, Japan's though, I'm having to get used to again. Luckily, there's been some changes that actually make life easier on us foreign devils. Believe it or not, despite our state's sunny disposition, California has some of the most stubborn tax laws in the country."
Shaking her head, Chris began to sort through the stack of piles.
"Well, this could be worse. You could have.....stored them in your freezer or something." she said to fellow blonde with a teasing grin.
