Domino vs. Kira "Wild Card" Malcolm Empty Domino vs. Kira "Wild Card" Malcolm

Standard Match
1 fall
Winning Condition: The first wrestler who attains victory shall be the winner

The Wild Card could not believe this. To her, women wrestling men was nothing but dumb fetish play. The TRUE glory was to be won in Friction, but she was here in Tension on some sort of awful cross-promotion. She hated the idea of it. However, she apparently the short straw to have to work a match in Tension due to her attitude and complications pertaining to her previous matches. No matter, she was the Wild Card. If she was better than any woman, she sure as hell could be better than any man, too. Kick this shrimpy pervert's ass and get back to the REAL fields of glory at Friction.

The size of the Tension ring surprised Kira but she remained stoic as she stepped out onto the ramp. "Tch, just that many perverts wanting to see me... eugh, make out with him or something." Kira marched down to the ring, proud and stoic. As she got halfway down, she broke into a run and lept up onto the apron in one bound. With a second, she cleared the ropes completely in a backflip, landing clean in the ring. The crowd cheered, but she brushed it off. "Easily impressed," she muttered, "That was just my warm-up, boys and girls." She cracked her knuckles and watched for her opponent to enter.

Domino vs. Kira "Wild Card" Malcolm Empty Re: Domino vs. Kira "Wild Card" Malcolm

A "wild card"? A Friction chick in the Tension arena? How fun! But as soon as that thought crossed Domino's mind, memories of his last match with a freakish superhuman from the kawaii group came to mind. So his enthusiasm was bitten back. One nasty surprise from an outsider was bad enough. With her not being in the Tension roster, there was very little Domino had time to learn about her. And considering it was extremely short notice, he didn't have much time to do more than cursory research. So the extent of his findings? She's an outspoken... well... "wild card".

Yep. Square one. He'll have to learn her as they go, which was always a potentially dangerous game to play.

On the upside, this match could be a good career builder! A fairly new face to the Tension group, doing a promotional match? If he could pull out a win on this chick, it could gain some notoriety - make others see him as a serious competitor! Not to mention help repair what was surely a damaging loss the last time he was in the ring.

Frickin' kawaii. Domino had a lot of face to recover after that. And this would be the first, if not most prominent step.

So while Kira's introduced, the young model bobs on the balls of his feet behind the curtains, psyching himself up. He's already decked out in his wrestling gear; black and white trunks, boots, and bracers, leaving his sleek upper-body, arms, and the majority of his legs exposed. Every breath is slow, measured, focusing himself for the match to come.

Finally, he hears the music change and the announcer call for him.

The teen shoves out of the curtains and throws his right fist into the air with a confident smile, eliciting a pop from the crowd! Nodding along with the cheer, Domino bounds off down the ramp, slapping high-fives with several lucky fans along the way. Once he reaches the ring apron, he hops up and grabs onto the top rope. With a pull, he vaults himself up and over to land on the mat with a single energetic bounce. The crowd is treated to another bright smile and fistpump before he steps back to his corner.

That smile fades, but doesn't quite disappear from his face. His eyes lock onto the blonde across the ring from him, sizing her up. She's close to his height, obviously in shape... it could be a close match. But for once, he isn't chatty with his opponent from the outset.

Domino vs. Kira "Wild Card" Malcolm Empty Re: Domino vs. Kira "Wild Card" Malcolm

Kira regarded Domino with a sneer that left no derision to the imagination as he approached. She hopped from foot to foot. Clad in her usual sweatpants, boots, and a short shirt that revealed her midriff, she took a deep breath, waiting for him to enter, focusing on all the ways she was going to beat him down and be done with him and this awful place.

Kira rolled her eyes when Domino began staring at him. "Listen, I don't care who you are. I don't even care what your stupid name is." She hissed, "I'm not here for a cuddle and makeout session or whatever passes for wrestling here. I am going to beat your pervert ass to the ground." She scowled, "And you're probably the type who likes that sort of thing. Trust me, you won't like this."

Domino vs. Kira "Wild Card" Malcolm Empty Re: Domino vs. Kira "Wild Card" Malcolm

The tirade earns a blink. Then a wry smile. If her words were intended to shake him, Kira may find herself disappointed.

"Someone hasn't had their eight hours."

Once satisfied everything is in order, the referee motions towards the bell to begin. *DING*

Domino moves slips forward smoothly, cautiously, erring on the defensive for the start of the match. His hands raise to shoulder height, palms turned out to her at the ready for a lockup. But somehow, he doesn't quite expect that of her. She strikes him as far too aggressive for something like that. His body is visibly tensed, primed like a coil ready to spring. His gaze has yet to leave her, hoping for a clumsy opening he can take advantage of.

"C'mon, you. Show me what Friction's packing."

Domino vs. Kira "Wild Card" Malcolm Empty Re: Domino vs. Kira "Wild Card" Malcolm

Kira's lip curled into what had to be the platonic ideal of a derisive snarl at Domino's nonchalant remark. "Tch!" she spat.

As the bell rang, the Wild Card raised her hands up in a fighting stance herself. She watched Domino closely, and when he raised his hand for a lockup, Kira eyed it cautiously. Taking a straight lockup like this could be risky without some speed behind her, but the Wild Card could not resist testing herself against her opponent. That was what the Wild Card was supposed to be: better than everyone at what they thought they did best. "Quit pretending you're in my league." She hissed as she reached out to lock up with Domino. Fighting with Domino for control of the hold, she would try to control his arm and flip him to the mat over her shoulder.

Those amethyst eyes light up as the match gets underway, adrenaline kicking in. The moment she moves forward, Domino tenses further at the ready, rapidly assessing her approach! ...Only to find himself grappling with the girl in a standard lockup. While surprised, he happily indulges her, ready and willing to prove himself from the get-go. The teen leans into the hold, his hands set to her shoulder and neck, nearly face to face with her.

"Hahah.. what a crazy thing to say! I'm a guy, of course I'm not in Friction!," he chides mirthfully, hoping to push her buttons by twisting her trash-talk.

The streamlined tone of his arms tense as he attempts to overpower his feminine opponent, only for her to take a more finessed approach! Domino flips over to land with a heavy THUMP on the mat in a seated position, teeth grit with the impact.

"Nnf..!"

But he couldn't let her take control of the match this early! With the hold changed up, Domino tucks a leg under himself and pushes back with a small twist, attempting to throw his free elbow back towards her head. Or body. He'll even settle for a leg! Whatever he might plow that elbow into to dissuade her from taking advantage of this position!

"Grr!" The Wild Card huffed angrily at Domino's teasing. Kira wanted nothing more than to beat this smug pervert loser's face in at this point.

Domino hit the mat with a satisfying thud, but he was far from beaten. He fired back far faster than Kira expected. Dom was on his feet fast and the Wild Card was caught off guard by the elbow. It collided with her head with a painful smack. "Kff!" She huffed, stumbling back, breaking her grip with Domino. She shook her head and quickly worked to regain her footing. If Domino moved quick though, he could capitalize.

Oh, that frustrated growl is satisfying on an almost juvenile level. Domino could even admit it. It's just fun! But what isn't fun is thumping against the mat.

Still, feeling the elbow smack against the girl's head spurred him to whirl around and face her, confident she wasn't going to catch him off guard. Upon spying her dazed condition, a smirk comes to his face. He has no intention to give this wrestlerette a breather. His next move might be risky, but he's banking on taking her by surprise with a hard hit. The dark-haired model springs into the air before her and tucks his legs in, only to thrust his boots back out towards her chest in a standing dropkick.

Naturally, he's going to land flat on his back on the mat. Should this miss, he's going to be in one Hell of a prone position.

The problem with planning to beat some smug loser's face in was that the smug loser often had a say in that plan and generally opted to exercise veto power over it. This was happening now and it only made her angrier and want to beat the smug loser even harder.

The Wild Card shook off that elbow blow just in time to see Domino leap up. She moved to guard but did not quite get close enough. Her arms absorbed most of the blow, but she still was driven back. She stumbled back, knocked almost off balance, only to catch herself in the ropes, one arm hooked over them. She regained her balance and gave Dominic more or less the same look she had been giving him all match. They were not going out for drinks after this match.

She would not make it back to Domino before he could at least start getting up from the mat. But she aimed to try to stop him from getting back to his feet. The world had stopped shaking from that last elbow blow, so she felt steady enough to spring off of the ropes, trying to aim a kick to Domino's side before he could get back to his feet.

Domino vs. Kira "Wild Card" Malcolm Empty Re: Domino vs. Kira "Wild Card" Malcolm

Domino has a decent idea of what it would feel like to punt heels to a woman's chest versus their boney forearms, so he knows something didn't go off right. So when he hits the mat square on his back, he's already in a scramble to get back to his feet.

'Crap, crap, crap...'

He makes it up to hands and knees when her boot slams into his ribs, eliciting a yelp from the model. Pain shoots through his side as he falls over and rolls onto his back, grimace on his face, and one arm looping his torso. Those amethyst eyes squeeze shut a moment to focus out the pain before opening again to stare up at his opponent. There's a determination behind that gaze, but he's at a disadvantage. He tries to push himself up to his elbows with a hiss, persistent.

"Gonna.. tag ya back.. for that one..."
