Looking for debut match for new jobber Lilly Maringly

Tue Mar 28, 2017 2:37 am by shanecawf

Spoiler:

Lilly is looking for matches so she can earn enough money to get out of the AFW. She doesn't care how big her opponent is or how strong they are, She's willing to take a massive beating if it means she can earn anything towards her get out fund.
Please have fun with her and don't be afraid to give her hell!

(Please no tension males) Lilly has one condition to this. She will not fight a male. Only females.

Belated Apologies

Sun Mar 26, 2017 9:58 am by Clobber Jobber

So, I'm not super fond of doing non-match threads because it messes with my organization, but I feel I owe everyone an apology. I just kind of up and dissapeared for, what, a few months? With the exception of one wave of posts, I've been super quiet, and a lot of threads have been held back because of me. So, I'm sorry to everyone about that, and I'm going to at least get another wave in.

To explain myself a bit, I've had a few things going on that slowed me down. For the first couple months, …

DEATH in AFW?

Post by XSirenX on Sat Jun 29, 2013 5:58 pm

Death is a weird question, but it comes in many shapes and sizes, since in the wrestling world most deaths are either a stunt, or permanent. But what about in the AFW universe? can it happen or has it happened before? leads way to storyline and revenge topics if you think about it my lovelies~

What are your thoughts folks?~

People in AFW have been beaten into coma's by the more violent chars and their gangs. And even in one regrettable plot point, shot with a Russian military rifle.

Chars have been near death but we have yet to actually kill someone off because AFW is supposed to be a more realistic wrestling world. I.E. If Wrestling was Boxing or MMA.

Unless you're Valkoinen Simo, your char might not get away with murder and people like Rally, Lukretia and The Sellers Sisters are most likely to fire your ass and get you arrested for killing someone.

A storyline like that would need a strong, elaborate plan.

Edit: Dark Savior has a finisher where he drops you from the rafters. Because Hardcore match = "Im gonna try to fucking kill you."

Well it's not really a killing move Lobo, I got the idea from MK vs DC. It's one of batman's finishers.
Here's a link to the move.

And as you said he only does it on hardcore matches, because anything goes there.

Re: DEATH in AFW?

I think the match deaths would be more in the Fur and feather and alternative realms because some of those characters can just be brought to a priest or priestess to be brought back to life from death if it is wanted by that character. For the Friction and Tension only way I think someone can get away with killing someone without getting fired is to have it marked in the match contract that death is a possible out come. Hardcore matches probably would be the only matches that may end with someone getting killed.

Re: DEATH in AFW?

I imagine it can be done well, but I think mostly its be in poor taste. It seems like death would end up being fetishized, and used for pleasure either on the death itself or in revenge following. The idea is that people want excuses to do horrible thing, because it would allow them to do those thing while feeling righteous.

The same applies to characters. People often want their characters to be cheered and loved but still do whatever they want.

Tldr, I think people would likely use death as a form of porn, or to remove the moral stigma from whatever they want to do as revenge. That being said, I'm sure I could do it one way or another. Its be more attractive in creating a son ER moment in afw than if it started war.

Faking deaths/and death in general can lead to may window story opportunity's, the only gripe is, that character stays dead lol~

Think of it, revenge, retribution, rivalry etc.

Unless its FnF~

Re: DEATH in AFW?

There's only a small, very small, handful of people in AFW that I think would be able to write a death for one of their characters, be able to write it well, and not have it seem tacky/cheesy/gimmicky/a plea for attention/etc.

Those people are also the people I think would least want to do such a stupid thing.

The rest of the board should just stay away from death and not even think of trying it.

Wasn't that point of the one-off matches?

Also....it COULD open the door for a transition from friction/tension to alternate. Char dies....comes back as a spirit.

I would like to take the time to announce that both of my characters, Whateverthefuckhernamewas and What'sthisbitch'sname have both passed away. This is a very trying time for me and I hope you're sorry for my loss.
