The Battle Continues: Emily Nelson vs Natasha Han

The arena was packed as the crowd gathered for another AFW match. The crowd was particularly excited tonight, as one of the matches on the lineup was a rematch between two former Wrestle Angels, Emily Nelson and Natasha Han, and it promised to be an especially rough match between two prostyle veterans.



"The Wicked Symphony" by Avantasia began to play as Emily made her way to the ring. The tall Scotswoman was clad in her usual fuschia V-cut one piece with matching boots and pads, and her expression seemed quiet and focused as she made ehr way down the ramp, seemingly ignorant of the cheers of her fans. In their last bout, Emily and Natasha had very nearly K.O'd one another, but Natasha had barely managed to eke out a win. This time, it was clear that Emily intended to even the score against the Russian.

Making her way to the ring, Emily slid under the ropes and brushed her hair brown heir back, eying the opposite end of the arena as she waited for her opponent to arrive...

Soon after Emily made her entrance, and the woman's entrance theme had died down, Natasha Han's own theme would kick up. The mighty Russian made her appearance, starting to head down the ramp towards the ring, an expression not unlike Emily's own plastered across her face.



She seemed quite tonight, focused, completely serious. Tonight, Natasha was determined to make her match memorable for the audience and for the AFW's higher-ups. It had been many, many months since she had gotten a televised match like this. Most of her matches had been backstage affairs or just dark matches. She wasn't happy about the lack of attention she was getting, and was determined to show the matchmakers of the company how wrong they were for not setting her up in more matches.

Of course, getting to face her friend and rival Emily was just the icing on the cake.

She headed down the ramp silently, staring up into the ring towards Emily, slipping under the ropes as she reached it. Up to her feet the Russian jumped, and with purpose in her steps she walked straight up to the Scotswoman, to stand face-to-face with her, staring into her eyes. She glared at her friend for what seemed like ages, until finally the very faintest hint of a smile formed on her face. Speaking in a hushed tone, she whispered towards Emily, not once breaking her gaze.

"It is good to be seeing you again, comrade..."

Emily never took her eyes off the Russian as Natasha made her entrance. Locking eyes with the blonde, Emily folded her arms as Natasha rolled into the ring and stood up opposite her. She knew she was in for a rough match tonight, and that Natasha was the sort of opponent who would really give her a hard time. Even though a part of her was glad to see her old friend again, she still tensed and locked eyes with Natasha as the two stared one another down.

As Natasha spoke, though, Emily gave a slight grin of her own. "Back at ye, luv," she said. "I 'aven't seen you in the ring in forever. I was almost afraid ye'd gone and retired or summat daft."

"It will be a long time before I am of retiring," Natasha answered back, still staring hard at Emily. "The women in charge are not of wanting for me to have big matches. Do not know why. They will not push me, just like in the Wrestle Angels." She gave a very slight, very subtle shrug, her shoulders rolling up and then back down again. "It matters not. Only thing that is of mattering is our match tonight."

She stared at Emily a moment more, then let her smile fade. "We are friends, but that does not mean that I will be of losing tonight." Taking a step back, she turned away from Emily, starting to head to her corner. After a few steps though, she paused, looking back over her shoulder towards the woman. "I am only hoping that you have not grown soft since the last time we have fought." With another quick, subtle smile, she turned away again, heading to her own corner to silently await the bell to start the match.

As Emily listened to Natasha, she frowned. She knew all too well the pain of not being allowed much in the way of ring time. Back in the old league, Emily had had a few singles matches here and there, but most of her time had been spent in tag team bouts. She had never been considered as one of the "big names" of the league, unlike Yukiko, or Minami, or Freia...or, ironically, Natasha herself. And now, in AFW, it seemed their positions had been reversed, though Emily knew that Natasha Han deserved better than this.

"Well, maybe after tonight, that silly lass Sellers will think differently of you," Emily replied with a click of her tongue. As Natasha backed away, Emily mirrored her movement. She had no doubt in her mind that Natasha intended to prove her worth tonight, which meant that she was going to be doubly hard to defeat. Backing away to her own corner, Emily waited for the match to start...

Natasha had never really thought of herself as a 'big name' back in her Wrestle Angels days. To her, it always seemed like the younger girls were always the ones getting big pushes...the idols, the waitresses, the newer girls that had some highly marketable gimmick that could push a ton of merchandise, like CDs and the such. Natasha had no such gimmick. She was just a woman, a woman highly skilled in wrestling, but that just didn't seem to be enough for most of the companies she had worked for.

She sighed as she reached her corner, taking a deep breath to steady herself, then turned to stare across the ring towards Emily again, waiting for the match to begin properly. She wouldn't have to wait long, though. Ding ding ding soon sounded the bell, signalling that the match was underway.

As soon as she heard the sound, Natasha stepped forward out of her corner back towards the center of the ring. She eyed Emily carefully, while at the same time raising her arms up, nodding towards the woman. She was inviting Emily to a lock-up, wanting to test her strength and might against her friend and rival in a grapple, always eager to see how the two of them measured up to each other.

The bell rang, and Emily felt her muscles tense as she hopped lightly on her boots, circling Natasha. She saw the Russian mirror her action, edging close to her and motioning for a lockup. Any other wrestler might have taken the opportunity for a cheap shot now that Natasha had left herself open, but as far as Emily was concerned, this was a proper match between ladies.

Darting forwards, Emily tied up aggressively with Natasha, interlocking her arms with the Russian's and trying to force her back as the two women pushed and twisted against one another, pitting strength against strength...

Natasha let out a grunt as she felt Emily come rushing in, taking her offer and starting to push back against her. Gritting her teeth, the Russian dug her boots into the canvas, bracing herself against Emily, starting to push and shove back against her. She wasn't going to lose any ground to the Scotswoman if she could help it, the muscles of her arms flexing and bulging as she tried just as hard to force Emily back instead, the two of them seemingly matched even at this point...

Emily's teeth clenched as she grappled with Natasha, her chin resting against the other girl's bare shoulder as she breathed through her nose and gritted teeth. The crowd was cheering as the two tall beauties engaged in a battle of strength. Natasha was just as strong as Emily remembered, if not stronger.

Shifting her weight suddenly, Emily spun, grabbing at Natasha's arm to swing her towards the ropes. If she managed this, then she would break into a run the moment Natasha came bouncing back, hoping to nail the blonde with a sudden clothesline...

Natasha struggled against Emily, trying to push against her, trying to overpower her rival. She was totally focused on beating her via her strength, and so when Emily suddenly shifted her weight, she would catch the Russian off her guard. With wide eyes Natasha went flying straight towards the ropes, hitting them heavily and bouncing straight back towards Emily.

Before she even realized what was happening, she slammed right into the arm of her opponent, getting flipped over to the mat, landing on her back. She stared upwards in silence, not quite realizing what had just occurred...
