Something I've Noticed

Tue Feb 21, 2017 10:06 am by scorn53

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed, but every few weeks the same user joins the site, creates a few profiles and matches, then promptly leaves. I've only noticed because they follow a very similar profile template (and call it weird, but the use of black font), albeit they've now edited their latest one because they cannot delete it.

To get this out of the way..

Tue Feb 21, 2017 10:50 pm by Mystery Dragon

Recently theres been something wrong with me. I fell sick some time ago, as I usually do in the spring time due t several reasons and recovered but haven't really been the same since. Some days I'm completely fine and others I can barely remember what I was doing 5 minutes ago and constantly feel down or not just not well for whatever reason, I even passed out in my dorm just to wake up in the dining hall. Ive had myself checked and they cant see anything wrong with me so I don't know what the …

Looking for some action

Tue Feb 21, 2017 3:47 am by k0hryuu

Hey guys,

I'm looking to expand my horizons a bit and work with some new people, or maybe work with someone I have in the past and haven't with for a while. Or actually pretty much anyone I'm not already currently working with. I'm pretty open to play ball with whatever (just not hentai matches), otherwise my roster page shows my own particular preferences. My only demand is coherent grammar.

Everyone except Akiko and Yukiko are available, so if you see someone that might interest you, …

My vote goes for the predetermined title matches.

Competitive matches, especially title ones, only really seem to work out between two players who either know each other really well/are good friends.

The rest of the time your left with too much uncertainty in what to do, and always run the risk of each player angering each other, or of one ending up being called a Power Player because they happen to be winning such a bout.

Besides, if Competitive title matches HADN'T been causing an issue in the past, they wouldn't be planning on changing them would they?

Random thought: Would these changes, such as the new directory idea and such, apply to just Friction or to Tension as well?

Gotta make sure Tai can eventually be the annoying jackass bragging about his third hentai title reign after all.

I am guessing it could be for Tension as well. Not that there have really been any issues there...

What about people who prefer to savor their title matches by never ending them? I think you're overlooking this very significant demographic. You can't MAKE me finish a match.

[quote="daemongirl":h30aar9s]I think what harrier was saying is that for him knowing the outcome of a match before hand is like having a movie or a good book spoiled, it takes some of the fun out of it.

^This.

Has nothing to do with competition for me, I am not a person to argue about the outcome of a match or about putting someone over.

Given the chance I would probably swallow the toad, but it would stay a toad. But if the majority thinks it' a good idea, democracy has spoken.

I can't imagine that title matches would make up a significant portion of any members matches/threads, even if that member had a character who was a title holder.

You can do whatever you want, but titles exist to serve the many. They're for rp material for us as a corporate entity. It's a responsibility in having one to use it in such a way as to enrich the rp-ness for others. So it makes sense to me that title matches aren't as free as others.

The number of people that do not want to even have 1 or 2 predetermined matches from time to time for these reasons are going to be extremely low, most like this will still at least partake in predetermined matches but simply enjoy them less then others. For such people we will not force them to take part in PPVs or title matches, but I believe that they might have to sacrifice a bit of their fun in these couple of rare title matches they have, so that PPVs and title matches remain enjoyable for everyone as a group within AFW

In short, you should BOTH be comfortable with RP'ing with each other, more room for fun and competitiveness etc. Not stubborn trolls to each other :/

The line between competiton and powerplaying is not that thin I think. All you gotta do is not overrate wins or titles above being a good writer, or making an interesting character.

Wresling is not all about wins. Stacy Keibler was one of the biggest jobbers ever, and people loved her ;>
