Relieving Stress? (Eva Mayu vs. Linear Lockhart) Empty Relieving Stress? (Eva Mayu vs. Linear Lockhart)

Eva's start here in the AFW had been hard, and painful to say the least. After her first match with Killer King, which had been almost a complete and total beatdown for her, she felt a little like she didn't belong here. Not to mention what he did to her after the match. Eva shuddered just thinking about the whole thing. It was an experience she hoped she never had to go through again. But knowing how this placed worked, she might not be that lucky.

Eva decided that she needed to blow off some steam. It had been some time ince her debut match, and had yet to have another, to her pleasure more than anything. She needed a lot of time to recover after the match, and she was still a little sore in places even now. So Eva decided to make her way to the gym and do a few exercises, maybe use a punching bag to help her get some exess stress out. After changing into her standard outfit, her gymnastics outfit, she grabbed a towel from her locker and made her way to the gym. Thankfully, there weren't too many people there today. She always felt nervous around other people who were more experienced than her.

Trying to ignore anyone that may be there, she made her way to one of the punching bags and began throwing a few practiced kicks and punches at it, more for just trying to tire herself out than to really practice.

Relieving Stress? (Eva Mayu vs. Linear Lockhart) Empty Re: Relieving Stress? (Eva Mayu vs. Linear Lockhart)

Linear rubbed his shoulders, thankful that he had worn a hawailan shirt and shorts, it made movement much easier. His rehabiliation program was still in progress, and was told that he shouldn't do this. However because he felt bad that his sisters had to work to cover his hospital fees, he thought that he shouldn't be sitting still doing nothing. It was for this reason did he enter the AFW.

Sadly, because his arms were still feeling weak, his manager didn't think he should enter a match just yet, and instead work around in the gym till she thought he was able to.

"Sigh..." He sighed while sitting on a bench. Today had been relatively quiet as it was still early in the morning. He didn't think that anyone would come, but to his surprise he was wrong as a girl stepped into the gym. She looked nervous and didn't say anything as she walked past him and onto the punching bags.

He watched as she threw punches and kicks at it. He narrowed his vision onto her movements. He was never much of a puncher, and she might be better than him with his arms still recovering, but he was really confident with his kicking ability, and seeing that he had nothing to do, he decided to call out to her when he noticed the way she executed a roundhouse kick against the sandbag.

Not much for words, he walked up to the sandbag next to the one she was using, and threw a roundhouse kick of his own, but with greater precision and speed. Hoping to catch her attention.

Relieving Stress? (Eva Mayu vs. Linear Lockhart) Empty Re: Relieving Stress? (Eva Mayu vs. Linear Lockhart)

Eva was wrong. This really wasn't helping her get her mind off her last match. It felt good to hit something though. She had never considered herself an angry person. In fact, she wasn't an angry person. She was generally nice to everyone, but today, she just felt frustrated, and no matter how much she hit the bag, all she was doing was getting tired, and sweaty.

After a little bit of doing this, she saw someone dressed in a Hawaiian shirt move up the the bag next to her and start throwing some kicks of his own. Noticing his outfit, she wondered why he would be in a gym dressed like that. most people that came in here at least wore something more appropriate. She couldn't help but get curious about him.

"Nice kicks..." she began, not really sure what to say to him, and not really knowing if he was nice or not. After facing Killer King, she wasn't too sure about anyone in the AFW, so she decided to be cautious.

"Yours isn't so bad as well. Though you seem to have a bad habit of not steadying your footing." He commented on her. After the first display, he sighed, wondering what was her thoughts on his feminine appearance. Though he no longer looked like his sister, he was still pretty girly.

"Um...are you free? I was hoping for a match, but because my arms are still injured, I can only move about in the gym." He asked directly. If she didn't want to accept it, he could understand. If she did, he would only hope that she didn't mistaken him for a girl or something.

Relieving Stress? (Eva Mayu vs. Linear Lockhart) Empty Re: Relieving Stress? (Eva Mayu vs. Linear Lockhart)

Eva was a bit baffled by the person who was standing beside her. Something about him... or her... felt off to her. Not in the sense that he was a shady person, or anything like that. Just that something about him confused her, and she couldn't qite place her finger on it. Still, he seemed nice enough anyway. That was a plus.

"Um... thanks..." Eva would say as she tuned to look back at the bag. It was true, she wasn't really the best striker on the planet, so her balance was shoddy at best. Still, she did her best. It sucked that striking was her best attribute though. She was terrible at grappling, given her small size... so she wanted to try and better herself.

But when he offered her a match, she felt a little like she shouldn't. Eva heard him mention that his arms were injured, and you kinda needed those to wrestle. She wasn't a bully. She didn't want to hurt him or anything. Still, she really ddn't ant to just say no either. "Well... will you be alright?" she would ask, wanting to make sure that it was really ok before she agreed.

He shrugged. "As long as I don't use my arms to much, it'll be fine. The doctor's say that my legs are good, and I need to do some excercise with it." He replied. There was some truth in it, but he didn't need to say that wrestling wasn't one of those events.

"As long as you don't do something like an armbar or something, I maybe fine. I also can't throw punches, but it doesn't matter that much, since I was never much of a puncher to begin with."He explains his reasoning to her.

If there was one thing that Linear disliked, it was his small frame like most girls. It made taking him seriously hard to do so. He only hoped that she wouldn't think that way.

Eventually, he made his way to one of the sparring rings within the gym and awaited for her next move.

Relieving Stress? (Eva Mayu vs. Linear Lockhart) Empty Re: Relieving Stress? (Eva Mayu vs. Linear Lockhart)

Eva wasn't too sure about wrestling someone who couldn't use their arms. They were a key part of the match, and since he couldn't use them, she knew she could easily punch him in the chest, or face even and he couldn't block unless he wanted to be hurt even more. He could doge, sure, but how likely was it that he could dodge everything?

"Well... if you are ok with it... I guess I am too. But I won't pull any punches," Eva would say as she watched him, or her, she still couldn't figure it out, get up into the ring that they had in the gym. It wasn't nearly as nice as the ring they had in the arena, but still, it was nice. Eva would follow him and get into the ring herself, stretching her arms a bit.

"Are you absolutely sure?" she would ask as she stretched, wanting to give her new opponent this last chance to reconsider.

"Have to do this eitherway, if I don't, I'll never get use to this feeling. I think I've burden them long enough." He sighs recalling how much his sisters went through to pay his hospital bills.

When she made her way into the ring, he couldn't help but ask a question. "By the way, do you think I'm male or female?" Since his voice also still hadn't broken for some reason, he decided to ask a stranger what was her first impression on him.

After hearing the answer, he would suddenly lash out with a sharp kick towards her chin in the opening move.

"Well, alright then," Eva would reply, not really sure what he meant by "them," but she guessed it wasn't really her business anyway. She didn't want to pry if he didn't want to share. She never made of habit of forcing people to talk about personal things. After all, there were things in her life she didn't like to talk about either, so she understood.

His next question is what threw her off though. A boy or a girl? Maybe that was it. Maybe that's what was so off putting when she looked at him. She couldn't really tell. But then again, Eva really didn't want to let her eyes wander. That was rude. "Um... well... I guess since you are asking me, you are a guy, aren't you?" she would ask. By first appearances, she assumed he was a girl. Just by the way he looked, but that kind of question seemed kind of odd to ask if you were a girl, so she guessed he was a guy.

Though she wasn't expecting what came next. Immediately after her reply, he would end a harsh kick straight to her chin, sending her back and into the match, clutching at the spot he kicked. That was rude. They hadn't even said go and he was already going at her. She would have to do the same to him, but for now, she was bit too focused at trying to get her bearings after the hard kick.

"Hmm...? Were you not ready?" He would ask, surprised that she took the full blunt so easily. Linear having grown up around bullies often taught himself to take the premptive strike, and so he did.

It was only a few seconds later did he realize what he did wrong. "Ah! My mistake. I'm sorry, it was a force of habit." He relaxed himself and lowered his stance, but not his guard. "I often fought in street fights where there were no rules." He would try to explain himself, hoping he would forgive her.
