Baltimore Comic-Con 2012 Empty Baltimore Comic-Con 2012

Post by UrbanChamp Fri Sep 07, 2012 8:59 pm

I will be there tomorrow. Main goal is to get a photograph with Stan Lee. I got an autograph from him at the Heroes Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina back in June, but not a photo. I need to change that.

Someone else needs to go. I don't wanna be the only AFWer who's there LOL.

If either one of them is anything like the last San Diego Comic Con, I'll pass on both. :|

There is NO REASON AT ALL for Twilight and 50 Shades of Grey to have panels at Comic Con. None at all.

Good luck getting a picture with Stan Lee, UrbanChamp. I really wanted to HeroesCon, I live not too far from it, but blah. Didn't have the money. :/

No it's not! <img src=" title="Razz" />

Anyway, are you going to that one, Jizzy?

Well, Baltimore is known for being devoted solely to comics. And it was. And yep, I got the photo with Stan!!! When I stepped into the photo area with him I told him I met him in Charlotte and got an autograph but I didn't get a photo with him and I came here for that. Shook his hand and thanked him. He's a great guy.

Got a Baltimore Comic-Con 2012 exclusive book of Frank Cho's art and then got it signed by Frank himself.

Was able to speak with Walt Simonson and tell him he wrote the best Thor stories and shake the man's hand.

Attendance was insane. There were thousands of people there. They filled that big ass convention center up. Outside of the convention center that night was busy as hell in general because it's Baltimore, but also just down the street there was an Orieoles vs Yankees baseball game and there was naturally a load of people at that. Cosplayers were everywhere...of course! It was highly obvious that a lot of girls took advantage of the opportunity to dress up as a comic/anime/game character not just to have fun, but because they have a naughty side and they want attention. But I had no problem with that and took many photos of them, and also took advantage of the situation by putting my arm around them and taking photos with them (like female Loki [there were 3 of them there, but god damn, one of them was very tall and quite sexy with a touch of goth, and it was VERY obvious she had attitude), Tifa Lockhart [perfect cosplay, sweet smile, nice girl, and she had Tifa's curves too heehee], Yoko Littner, Ms. Marvel, Black Widow, Rogue, and Power Girl [professional model Cara Nicole "AZ Powergirl"]). Hey, why the HELL not? I wanted to get a photo with either one of these two good looking girls cosplaying as Death from DC/Vertigo but I couldn't find them again after I got my photo with Stan Lee. Other than that I was quite satisfied. <img src=" title="Smile" />

Don't question it, just realize that I'm going to get another signature on my PS3.

There's been a WWE panel and group at comic con alot in the recent years. Cody Rhodes at Comic Con was great when he went around putting the paper bags on people's heads.

Sometimes wrestlers (both the popular TV wrestlers and local fed wrestlers) are at conventions. Mick Foley's been at them. There's a video of CM Punk meeting Stan Lee on youtube. Those are the conventions that aren't comic exclusive. It's where they also mix in games, anime, movies, etc.

Hey, thanks for the misogyny.

NEWS FLASH: the Archergurl who you speaking of is not part of AFW anymore and she's currently working in production for new game titles in Japan. I'm her Canadian friend who she gave her PC due to mines has crashed. She was nice enough to give it to me to help a friend in need. So she got a spared one that she uses for the things I've mention above. BTW, Anegge and Alexandra be sure to check the E-mail adresses carefully. As Archergurl and me aren't the same thing.
