Ghost in The Rain Empty Ghost in The Rain

Post by Guest Fri Aug 17, 2012 5:48 am

The sky above the AFW building was cloudy that afternoon. The weather forecast predicted that it was going to rain today, and from the look of it, the rain might happened pretty soon. Somewhere near the Friction dormitory building, a slender girl with long white hair was sitting on a bench by herself. On the ring she was known as The Spectre, the lunatic newcomer that looked just like a patient of mental hospital. However, today she seemed just like normal girl apart from her albino look.

Dressed in a red overcoat and a pair of dark high boots, the pale girl looked more like an innocent child in contrast of her ghostly ring persona. If anything, it's her behavior that might confirm some people's suspicion that she's really insane. The white haired girl seemed to be talking to someone, despite the fact that there was no one else around the area at the moment.

"She was pretty strong isn't she?" the albino said in a friendly manner.

She was referring to her opponent on her very first match. They had a quite a brutal fight and she had to stay in bed for about 3 days afterwards. Even so, the girl's expression didn't really show any sign of hatred as she spoke about her opponent. Then all of a sudden her expression would become sad, as if she was just being scolded.

"I'm sorry... I know it's my fault again..." she'd give a short pause afterwards.

"Really..? But..." the girl stopped as if she was being interrupted.

"Well, if you say so..." her face would brightened a bit as she said that. "But you know... it's not like it's our first loss in a fight..."

The white haired girl would become silent afterwards and her expression became a bit glum. Even if she never thought much about the results, she's well aware that her other side disliked losing. She was about to say something when suddenly she felt a drop of water hit her head. The girl would look up to find that it's starting to drizzle.

"Ah it's raining..." she would say with a rather delighted expression. "Ah okay, let's talk again later, then," she added after a moment of silence.

Even though her coat had a hood, the albino girl just sat there silently for a while, letting her white hair hit by the drops of water from the sky. Even as the rain become heavier, she didn't get up from the bench. Instead she just let the rain washed her slender figure while closing her eyes as if she was showering on a bathroom.

Unlike her other self, this side of her loved rain. She always thought that getting showered by the rain actually felt refreshing. After a while the girl finally got up from her seat, but only to skip around a bit and turning her body like she was dancing in the rain. Her long white hair would twirl around as her slender figure did the same. The albino then would start to sing something in her whispering voice.

I'm the ghost in the rain, the rainbow.
You can't discern, I'm standing there.

Ghost in The Rain Empty Re: Ghost in The Rain

Though the rain would be coming down, a dark purple-haired girl would wear something a little different for the weather. She wore a dark purple sleeveless jacket, a pair of fingerless gloves, black skinny jeans, and a pair of high boots. She too remembered the match 3 days, she witnessed each passing moment before her eyes of that brutal fight. The thing is...SHE was the opponent that the albino faced and lost to.

She was in the middle of a stroll around the block when she suddenly saw the albino, sitting on the bench and reflecting on her first loss before skipping and dancing in the rain to make herself happy. Quietly, she would walk to her and her reflection showed on one big puddle close to the albino. She said nothing though, wondering what the other girl would say to her.

Ghost in The Rain Empty Re: Ghost in The Rain

Ghost in the rain, the same old.
You carry on, the world will find you after all..

As she was still dancing around in the rain, the white haired girl suddenly noticed someone's reflection in a puddle near her. The albino turned around in alert to find Deathbird, her opponent from her first match, standing behind her. Her pale face made a terrified expression, as the memories from the fight flashed back in an instant. The pale girl would took a step back instinctively.

"D-deathbird...?" she'd ask, half whispering. Why is she here...? she thought to herself.

After a moment, the albino would calm down a little at the thought that Deathbird might not try to harm her since they're not in a match. A naive thought that would earn a harsh scolding from her other self, but it was never really her nature to suspect people.

Deathbird still said nothing as she slowly raised her head up to face Spectre. But instead of showing her vicious red eyes, she showed that her eyes were really a girlish pink. She would show a shy smile as she walked slowly to the albino in hopes of not frightening her. Finally, Deathbird spoke out calmly, "Please...Deirdre...call me Juney. That's my real name."

Ghost in The Rain Empty Re: Ghost in The Rain

"A-ah, I see...," the albino would say rather nervously. "P-please call me D.D. or Dee," she'd added in a low voice.

She preferred not to be called with her real name for some reasons, mainly that she already gave that name to her other self. Seeing at the seemingly friendly Juney, the albino thought that the dark haired girl might be a nice person after all. Perhaps she was just like herself, who put on a facade on the ring to be perceived as strong by others. The nervous albino would stare at Juney for a while as the rain still showering above her white long hair.

"W-what are you doing here..?" she'd ask.

"OK, Dee it is." said Juney as she took a seat at the bench to rest her legs for a bit. She was taking some breaths as Deirdre was still standing in the rain. In hearing the albino's question, Juney would reply, "Oh! Well, I was taking a stroll down the block to get some exercise. I love playing in the rain since I was little. Are you enjoying yourself out here too?" The dark purple-haired girl hoped that the other girl would like her so she can help her.

"Um, y-yes," Dee would reply with a little smile.

She was nervous since she barely talk to many people ever since her childhood. Juney's friendly manner comforted her a little, though, and she'd try to be as nice as she could to the dark haired girl. Her other self would probably be upset at her for it, but Deirdre was never the type to hold a grudge for a long time, at least that's what was Dee had in her mind. Suddenly the albino felt a little sting on her head and she would hold that spot with her pale hand, grimacing a little.

"Ngh..." she would softly let out as she hold her head.

It's probably from the kick she received a few days ago in the match. She hadn't fully recovered yet, but there wasn't a lot of rainy days around this time of the season, which is why she wanted to go out in the first place.

When Dee started to feel the sting in her head, Juney couldn't help but shrug since she's the one that kicked her back in the match as Deathbird. "Uh...sorry about that earlier, Dee. I had no other way to end the match with your...other self." She had trouble bringing out about the albino's split personality. "So, how are you feeling?" Juney offered Dee to have a seat next to her so they can talk some more.

"Nn... I'm... fine," said Dee with a rather forced smile.

The albino girl would slowly walk towards the bench and sit next to Juney. The pain in her head subsided after a while and she would glance at the dark haired girl before looking away.

"That's fine... It was a match... she knows that too," Dee would say while hiding her expression from Juney.

The rain started to subside too after a while, and the white haired girl would turn her gaze at Juney again. Her expression was kind unlike the cold and vicious Spectre when she was on the ring.

"That was a good match, I think," she'd say with a gentle smile.

Juneau smiled back as she said, "Yeah, I liked that match actually. Both of you did a good job." Thinking back on that match where she won, she shrugged and blushed in embarrassment when she also said, "Uhh, I hope you don't mind your little foot torture. You weren't the only one I did it to though." Since Dee chose to go barefoot in the match, Juney showed how her feet and toes were weak spots to her.
