12:03 a.m. - Some Bar in Tokyo

It had been about a day or two since Clyde became aware that he was alone again. The realization of the fact that he had driven the best thing in his life away, that the woman of his dreams had left him. Clyde Gastin had fucked up his life once again and made his lover leave him after one stupid fight. To put it lightly, he felt like shit and wanted to die, but for some reason he didn't have the drive to kill himself like he wanted to. Instead he was left to tread on within this world, without purpose, without a rhyme or reason.

He still loved her, that would never change, but he wanted this horrible pain to leave his heart. He started drinking again just to escape that pain, to escape all those regrets. He didn't care if he was going down the path to self-destruction once again, nothing really seemed to matter to him anymore.

So in this bar he sat, downing his 2nd beer of the night, the brim his cowboy hat covering his red eyes, wearing his usual attire of Blue jeans, White T-Shirt and Brown Cowboy Boots. He didn't know why he was in Tokyo, he just wandered there and ended up in this bar. His head hung down, but he couldn't help but look around the place, looking for someone just as lonely tonight, he wasn't all that desperate for comfort tonight, but if he could find it he would take it.

"...Hate this bar..." Clyde would mutter bitterly before taking another swig of his drink, turning around to face the bar, about ready to just walk home.

Cowboys & Paralegals Empty Re: Cowboys & Paralegals

Post by Tatyina Thu Jul 05, 2012 7:41 am

Mercedes Wrenn pulled the swizzle stick out from her fruity drink and slid it apathetically along the edge of her lips, sticking her tongue out enough to let the droplets tingle the tip of the wet muscle. She'd been sucking down wine coolers for about an hour and a half and decided that she could handle a big girl drink. What did she have to spend her money on otherwise? She wasn't going to be buying any Jaguars or fancy 300$ pens working as a grunt.

She let out a huff and shoved the stick back in her drink as she began to retrace the steps that had put her int he position she was currently in. She wasn't drunk enough to stumble into a dirt hole like this voluntarily but there was enough melancholy in her life to guide her to a place far away from the things that were familiar. Not that there was much of that in this town.

"Stupid Japan..." She muttered. Her last 'adventure' had left her nearly killed by some brutish woman wielding a wine bottle. Before that, it was that treacherous urchin who pilfered her belongings and before that it was getting fired from her cushy gig. She was able to negotiate a contract with Hilde, more like beg, after she bungled one with Allison Watson.

She still hadn't had any luck getting the heck out of Japan or even getting a job IN Japan. She hadn't even had a match yet, either. Though she was quite thankful for that much. She stirred her drink absentmindedly. At least no one had bothered her. She must have found the right place indeed. She took a big drink from her fruity drink and let out a soft sigh. It tasted horrible. One day she'd be served these kinds of drinks on a Caribbean Beach by some bare chested man with a name she couldn't pronounce. That would definitely make the drink taste better. Maybe even a bare-chested woman? Ugh. This stupid alcohol was starting to make her horny. She needed to get out fast.

Cowboys & Paralegals Empty Re: Cowboys & Paralegals

Post by Lobo Thu Jul 05, 2012 8:19 am

Having gotten started on third beer now, Clyde was about ready to leave. He really hated the fact that he was drinking again, but felt it was something he had to do in order to get past what he was feeling at the moment. Before he left the bar, Clyde ordered a shot of whiskey, taking the shot glass in his hand after the bartender poured the contents out, about ready to down it before he looked to his right and saw a rather lovely looking young woman with pink hair sitting alone.

To say she caught Clyde's eyes was definitely an understatement. He was in a world of hurt and he just now happened to spot a pink haired beauty, sitting alone in this bar, looking bored and completely uninterested with the atmosphere like she was waiting for someone to liven up her night. Clyde wasn't sure if he still had his old skills when it came down to the ladies, he knew he was rusty and barely in the mood, but felt he oughta try something.

So with a sigh, Clyde downed the shot of whiskey and exhaled deeply after swallowing the drink that sent quite the buzz through him before he stood up and walked up towards Mercedes with his half empty beer, mustering up some courage and faking an upbeat mood.

"Hi. Mind if sit here?" Clyde would ask he stood next to Mercy, about to take a seat next to her after she would hopefully not mind his company.

Cowboys & Paralegals Empty Re: Cowboys & Paralegals

Mercy could feel the presence of another approaching. She shuddered a bit at the thought of being interrupted. Just when she had worked up the courage to leave. She took a sip from her drink and used the opportunity to glance at him through her slitted eyes that loomed behind her glasses. She set the drink down and pretended not to notice him as he stood next to her. She turned her head to glance at him with one bored eye and sized him up properly.

She let out a sigh. "Yeah. I kind of mind." She said and looked around. She couldn't say that she was waiting for someone, she'd been here a lone for a long time and barely even spoke to the bartender. She took a sip from her drink. It was strange that he wasn't Asian. Those old Asian salary men were quite courageous when they had a few drinks in them and she'd had to pretend not to get her ass pinched a few times when one of them slinked off into the bathroom. Normally she'd sue but at the moment she didn't even have the heart to get all uppity. Her languid tone was barely tolerable as a means to get rid of this newest nuisance. He'd at least asked if he could sit so he seemed to be interested in more than goosing her, but that didn't mean she wanted him around any more than the filthy old men yucking it up in a smokey corner booth.

Cowboys & Paralegals Empty Re: Cowboys & Paralegals

Clyde frowned a bit when heard that dismissal from Mercy. NEVER before had he been shot down that fast, but that wasn't what got to him, what got to him was the manner of her dismissal, it was so apathetic it kind of reminded Clyde of his true attitude right now, which was filled with this constantly feeling of apathy towards everything else life at the moment. Not even his reign as 24/7 Champ meant anything to him, nothing really did at the moment.

But still, the nature of this girl's attitude bothered Clyde slightly, she looked like the type of girl who should be out having a date every night with guys just lining up to take her out. Girls with pink hair were usually perky but this was one appeared to be dull, perhaps something was bothering her. "Ah. A'ight." He'd respond coolly before releasing sigh, feeling a bit down himself now again. He decided to take a seat two over from Mercy, leaving an empty stool between them as he began to resume drinking his beer, feeling a bit depressed at the sudden shut down, he really lost his edge. At least that's what he felt.

Still, Clyde would look over to Mercy every now and then out the corner of his eye, finding her appearance in this bar alone to be rather odd. She must be waiting to meet someone she knows, but then she would be more excited that dull about it, so what was her deal? Clyde couldn't help but be curious, he had nothing to lose if this girl found him annoying and left anyway.

"....Mind if I catch your name at least, Ma'am? The Name's Clyde... Clyde T. Gastin of AFW Tension..."
Clyde would say, thinking that at least some small talk would help the situation for himself and this girl who looked a bit down, thinking his reveal as a wrestler would help score some points.

Mercy was thankful that the guy was going to leave her alone. She gulped down the last few sips from her fruity drink and ordered something a little harder. She needed a kick to wipe away this place and get her back to her apartment. She took a sip from her slightly less fruity drink and heard him back at it. Asking for her name. Telling him his. She shut her eyes plugged her nose and took a deep drink from her glass. She then slammed the glass down hard and turned her head to look at Clyde.

"No no no!" She said and made a shooing motion. "No. I don't want to know your name and I'm certainly not going to tell you mine." She huffed and brushed away an errant lock of pink hair. She reached into the breast pocket of her suit coat and turned the volume up on her music. That would drown him out. Maybe. She glanced up and down his form again and let out a huff. She turned the volume back down and folded her shoulders inward, subconsciously protecting herself. "If you're trying to pick up girls, you need to do a better job. I don't like guys." She added. "So you'll have to do even better than that. So, if you don't aren't capable of better than your best, stop wasting both our time." She added with a huff.

Cowboys & Paralegals Empty Re: Cowboys & Paralegals

Hearing the sudden an unexpected slam that came from Mercy as she slammed her drink down and began yelling a bit, Clyde would jump slightly before he slumped down slightly in his seat. He fucked up yet again it seemed. He didn't still have 'it', it seemed. Hearing her words though, Clyde would roll his eyes and call for more whiskey from the bartender, he didn't think it was honestly possible for him to be better than his best right now, if he ever would be again. It seemed so impossible.

"Maybe I am just tryin' to pick up a pretty girl to take my mind off my troubles tonight..." Said Clyde before downing his second shot of whiskey, already having another set up for himself. "...Maybe I'm just tryin to find someone to talk to... Not gon' lie you look like you're waitin' for someone to come around and take your mind off things too, you don't look like the kind of girl who can't get a date, or the type that comes into bars and sits their alone..." Clyde would add he finished pouring out his drink, shooting down the whiskey quickly. He really didn't give a fuck he failed or scored tonight with this girl who OBVIOUSLY wasn't his type, but maybe that was something that only attracted him to her further.

"...So if you ain't waitin' on nobody, what would you say to lettin' me havin' the honor of your company tonight and gettin outta this here place, huh? Maybe I could buy ya dinner? I'm sure you don't wanna march on outta here alone either... It's Tokyo after all." Clyde would mutter as he gazed down at the bar and toyed with the shot glass in his hands before looking over at Mercy, honestly expecting another rejection, but whatever at least he tried.

Mercy listened to Clyde's words, not even looking at him as she stared at her glass. What a lame, stupid loser. She almost considered that the occasional ass pinch from the sweaty salary men might be a better way to spend her time than with this clown. When Clyde was finished, Mercy crooked her finger and called the bartender.

She reached out and and snatched Clyde's shot glass away and tapped it against the bar until is was filled. She pulled it up and gulped it down, flipping the shot glass upside down and slapping it down onto the bar. Her cheeks flushed and she let out a sigh. Her throat burned.

"I'm not looking for a date." She said tersely with her face still away from him. She licked her lips, feeling the taste of the whiskey that lingered on it. She sighed and turned her head. "Cut the gentleman BS." Mercy's eyes lowered and she scoped out Clyde's body. "Eh..." She muttered, weighing her thoughts for the moment.. "Your place. Not interested in small talk." Mercy stood up and looked like she was going to get ready to leave when she stopped, looked back at Clyde and then inhaled deeply. She tapped the bar and ordered another whiskey, taking the bottle and giving it a deep chug. She set it down and coughed. She shook her head and looked at Clyde.

"There. Now I'm ready. If you want to feel like this is a date then you can get my tab." She looked at him sternly. "But it's not. Your convenient, that's all. Understand? Now, let's get going."

Cowboys & Paralegals Empty Re: Cowboys & Paralegals

Post by Lobo Fri Jul 06, 2012 4:23 pm

Without any protest at all, Clyde let Mercy take his shot glass without a single care. Watching her out the corner of his eye as she gulped down the shot of whiskey, amused by her expression. She clearly wasn't much of a drinker. Clyde then learned Mercy wasn't looking for date, the manner of her response turning him off a bit from her. So he tried to sound like a gentleman as best he could but it was clear she was interested in that at all, making Clyde let out an amused, apathetic huff.

However, when Mercy later said: 'Your Place. Not interested in small talk.' Clyde's head perked up in surprise, smirking a bit when he realized that her desire matched his own for tonight. It was a victory for Clyde, but he still felt empty as hell right now, especially when Mercy called him convenient, that was definitely something that wounded him with the state he was in.

"Whatever you say, Darlin'..." He'd respond dully with a hint of sarcasm. Clyde then took back his shot glass and quickly called for 4th shot of whiskey for himself, downing the drink hastily to hurry up for his 'Not-Date'. He then payed off His and Mercy's tab without a care and made his way beside her.

"Not that I mind takin' ya home with me tonight, Missy. But my place in Kyoto is a good 3 Hours away by Bullet Train... You up for anythin' a lil' closer? Like nice lil' cozy hotel with Room Service?" Clyde would suggest to Mercy, trying his best to make a smart choice while hopefully appealing to her. He wasn't up for waiting 3 hours to hook up with Mercy and doubted she wanted to spend 3 hours on a train talking with someone who was just Convenient to her. Plus wasn't sure if she'd be able to stay awake. He then tried to slowly and softly wrap an arm around her waist to hopefully guide her out her seat and out of the bar, if she allowed it.

Cowboys & Paralegals Empty Re: Cowboys & Paralegals

Post by Tatyina Fri Jul 06, 2012 7:08 pm

Mercy let out an alcohol soaked sigh at Clyde's words and eyed him carefully. 'Eugh. Don't call me darlin'" She shook her head a bit and let her pink curls bounce around slightly. What was she doing? She'd never stoop so low as to have a one night stand. especially not with a guy and especially not with a guy like this But she was light headed from the alcohol and somewhere she made a connection that a good fucking might clear the cobwebs in her head or somehow change her luck, make her more eager to plow thorough this dreadful portion of her life or face it more cheerfully.

"Geeze..." Mercy said as she stumbled partially towards the exit. "You're starting to become more trouble than your worth. You better be good in the sack..." She muttered and stopped to blink away the haze for a moment. "I think there's a love motel nearby. Damn thing..." She muttered in a low tone. "Didn't name that very well..." She let out another sigh.

When she was about to slide off her stool, Mercy felt a hand slide around her waist. She shuddered and gave CLyde a gentle nudge and stumbled away towards the door. She was pretty drunk but not completely stumble down drunk yet. She stood halfway to the entrance and turned around, tapping her foot in annoyance. Well?" She said and reached out her hand. "I guess the hand will be fine." She said expectantly. If Clyde held his hand out, she'd grab his wrist and begin to lead him out of the bar so she could hail a taxi.
