Seeking: Friction Spar Match

Mon Nov 20, 2017 6:40 am by Yori

Looking for a spar for Alexa.

Howdy, I'm new to the forums and figured I should get my, and my characters toes wet with some good old fashion sparring. It can be a one off, or blossom into something else down the road for a friend/rival relationship. Alexa as a character is a fresh face, and an unrefined talent. I don't mind having someone at her skill level to have an event match, or someone superior to her to have a more one sided bout. I'm looking to use this regardless as a way to build …

Character updates.

Wed Nov 15, 2017 4:14 pm by Lotuswarrior

Since I'm starting to get a bit busier here, I'm trying to be a bit more professional. With that I'm going to overhaul my characters and update their profiles or release them all together. I'll post any images here of the characters I release, so that you guys/girls can claim them if you want.

Also looking for some characters to interact with outside of matches.

Re: Clyde Gastin Vs. Yu-Shin

As Clyde through out a wild right haymaker towards Yu-Shin, he swore he was gonna catch his opponent right at his jaw, but still Yu-Shin managed to do duck underneath the punch and countered with sudden knee lift right into Clyde's exposed rib cage. "G-Gugh!!" Coughed Clyde from the hit as he doubled over a bit before taking two follow up hits to the face, struck by a jab and right straight that sent the Texan reeling back, a bit stunned by the sudden combo.

"*Pft*... and you still a tricky sonovagun..."
Clyde would respond after spitting out a wad of blood onto the mat. It appeared that Yu-Shin hadn't lost his touch in regards to fighting and Clyde knew he was going to have to step up his gave if he hoped to win.

Raising up his fists, Clyde would charge at Yu-Shin, but would try to fake him out a the last second and run past him, attempting to jump onto the ropes and spring board off of them while throwing his elbow back. Attempting to hit Yu-Shin with a springboard Elbow strike.

Re: Clyde Gastin Vs. Yu-Shin

Yu-shin watched as Clyde darted past him before he had a chance to know what was happening. Clyde jumped off the ropes, turning around he blocked the elbow strike with his arms just in time but, despite his block. The force of the strike knocked Yu-Shin to the ground. Yu-Shin let out a "tsk" that was indeed a close one, he had forgotten how durable his opponent was, when it came to avoiding attacks he had a better chance of being able to defend but, Clyde could take the blows regardless. Yu-Shin now realized Clyde was fighting on equal footing with him, he covered up his head with his arms wondering what the cowboy was going to do next.

Even though Clyde managed to down his opponent with that springboard reverse elbow, Yu-Shin still managed to block the brunt of hit and it was starting to not only frustrate the Texan but worry him as well. Clyde honestly didn't know if he was ever going to get a solid hit off on Yu-Shin if he kept blocking like that. Still, Clyde knew he had to keep trying and was confident that he had the endurance to take on whatever Yu-Shin threw at him, he just had to press on the attack on wear him down until that defense was completely broken.

Either way, Yu-Shin was down and Clyde had to use his speed to follow up on the attack while he could. Scrambling back onto his feet, Clyde would turn and see down on the mat, covering his head, exposing the rest of his torso and lower body. Without giving much thought into his strategy, Clyde would run to the nearest ropes beside Yu-Shin and leap at them before preforming yet another springboard, turning his body in mid-air as he extended his right arm out to preform a springboard Elbow Drop, attempting to drive his elbow right into the center of Yu-Shin's abdomen.

Yu-shin saw what Clyde was doing and had plenty of time to react as Clyde came off the ropes. As Clyde came falling with his elbow, he stuck out his leg and hit Clyde's ribcage again using his momentum against him similar to how one would run into a firmly planted spear. Yu-Shin would then kick him away from him with his other leg if he had too. Then rolling himself up, he kick flipped himself back into a fighting stance. If Clyde was on the ground, Yu-Shin would step forward and begin stomping the ground or rather trying to stomp on his head. Yu-Shin would have let most of his opponents get up, he wasn't the type to attack someone while they were down. However, in this case, he felt it would be insulting if he did show mercy to Clyde and also he didn't think he could afford not too.

Re: Clyde Gastin Vs. Yu-Shin

Springboarding off the ropes, Clyde thought he had Yu-Shin, but would end up landing directly on top of Yu-Shin's extended leg, bashing his ribs yet again as Clyde's body bent from impact he made. "A-Ack!" Clyde would let out as his body bent forth at his ribcage before being kicked away by Yu-Shin's other leg, sending Clyde flying off his opponent and tumbling down across the mat.

Clyde would roll down the mat until he got onto his stomach, a bit dazed by the hits he took but still tried to get back up as fast as possible, but before he could, he took another hard hit from Yu-Shin who would stomp down hard on the back of Clyde's head, the impact brutal and heavy enough to send Clyde into a bit of a loop, but would be dazed even further as his face was driven right into the mat, flopping down flat upon the canvas upon impact.

"Uuuughhh..." Clyde would groan out faintly, dazed and dizzied, barely moving much but was still felt he could fight back. Just not at the moment.

Yu-Shin took a breath and resumed his stance, despite his martial arts skill, he didn't have much of a ground game as most eastern fighting arts didn't focus on grappling on the ground. He decided to take the time to help himself relax and to set the pace. He already scored a few good hits for now, he would try and keep his distance away. He would put up his muay thai guard up again and would wait for Clyde to get to his feet. He'd focus on his footwork, pacing back and fourth. He switched his footwork and didn't remain flat footed.

The near relentless barrage of hits that Clyde took from Yu-Shin really stunned the Texan quite a bit, having left him rather dazed on the mat with his head spinning a bit after taking that hard stomp to the back of his head that drove his face into the mat.

Still, Clyde got managed to slowly rise back up on his feet and keep his gaze locked on Yu-Shin. "Ugh. That really hurt, man." Clyde would mutter before bringing his hands up in guard, paying no mind to Yu-Shin's stance or footwork, only wanting to get another hit in, prompting the brash Clyde to rush Yu-Shin and attempt to take him down with a hard clothesline across the sternum.

"Ehh.. Sorry... " Yu-Shin said as he might have taken it a bit too far.

Yu-Shin sped up his footwork and dropped his lead arm as it swayed side to side lifelessly and turned to his side as Clyde ran at him. His Muay Thai stance transitioned to a taekwondo stance, he took a breath. Clyde would be able to see something in his movement that would remind him of Ayame, as if he could see her image over lapping with Yu-Shins. Yu-Shin would try and cut Clyde off with Ayame's trademark attack the 720 kick. Yu-Shin had a big wind up for this attack so, Clyde still had an area of time too dodge.
