Love, Paranoia & Heartache Empty Love, Paranoia & Heartache

Post by Lobo Sat May 05, 2012 11:09 pm

It was close to midnight and the moon was out, almost full. Riding on the train towards Tokyo with a mission in mind, worried about the woman he loved more than life itself, worried that the woman who gave him a true purpose in his once messed up life was sooner or later going to tire of him and leave him for another. This man was Clyde Gastin, Fiance to Heather Sunderland, practically the number #1 contender in AFW thanks to her Title Contract, but to Clyde, Heather was simply the love of his life and tonight, he felt he had to fight for her.

Wearing a brown trenchcoat and cowboy hat over his usual attire of brown cowboy boots, blue jeans and a white t-shirt, Clyde Gastin emerged from the train station and began to walk down the city streets within the Japanese metropolis going past building after building, going pretty far from the usual AFW area in the city than ever before to find Eclipse HQ. This wasn't his town, but he sure as hell felt this was his business. He wasn't looking for a fight, he was looking to save his relationship while he could. At least... He thought it was in danger... But was it really? Heather assured him she wasn't going to pick anyone over him and he prayed that was the truth.

Walking up to the large skyscraper, Clyde took a moment to admire it, thinking how funny it was that he started out a humble little country boy back in Texas where the tallest building was the local church. He was an adult now and within a vast, vibrant metropolis with buildings that stretched into the clouds. He was no longer a womanizing alcoholic, but a young man in love and future husband to his future wife. The Times had changed and so had he. He only hoped they would remain this way. He refused to let this dream of a happy life crumble.

Walking up towards the large rotating doors of the building, Clyde adjusted his cowboy hat and marched towards the front entrance. Not knowing if they were letting people in this late. Either way, Clyde went up towards the doors and tried to push it open to left himself in.

If it was open, Clyde would walk into the main lobby and gaze around the vast decor of the room before looking around, in search of a receptionist to talk to.

Even though it was very late, the doors to the skyscraper were not locked. People came and went at all times of the day, due to the numerous studios in the building, and even late at night there were live tv programs being filmed. This wasn't all owned by Starlight Productions of course, though the man who owned this building and ran the company was in charge of that as well. Indeed, this was the seat of an empire built upon words, laughter, tears, and lies.

The grand atrium on the first floor was quite empty, except for two uniformed security guards and a receptionist who wasn't paying much attention to the entrance. The bell rang as Clyde came in, which startled her out of her nap. She peered up over the edge of the massive round desk, that normally housed several receptionists just like her, but right now held only one. She stood up when she saw Clyde approaching her.

"Hello sir, how may I help you?" she asked, bowing her head slightly, "Are you lost and looking for directions? Or do you have business here?"

Love, Paranoia & Heartache Empty Re: Love, Paranoia & Heartache

Clyde felt odd being here. His blue collar demeanor really just didn't fit him in the cooperate world. He barely had a plan in regards to what he was going to do once he found Megumi. He thought about having a few words with Thomas Drake, but didn't think that he honestly had any say in the matter regarding the actions of his clients so what was the point in cussing him out or beating the crap out of him? None really, but Clyde felt easier punching out the manager rather than a woman with a pretty face. It wasn't the right thing to do but someone had to pay the price for what was happening. Surely Clyde wasn't in the wrong if he decided to start trouble? Or was he?

He just had to keep his cool while he was here. They had security and despite the fact that Clyde was rather small compared to them, he felt he could take on at least two of them if he decided to raise hell. Walking up the receptionist and looking up at her out the brim of his hat that draped over his eyes, Clyde spoke out to her, hoping that he would be let in because he sure as hell didn't have an appointment.

"I uhh... Im'a Lookin' for a Miss Megumi Mutoh... Im'a Wrassler from Tension and my Fiancee knows her... A Ms. Heather Sunderland? 6th Ranked Wrestler in Friction? Heh... Kinda need to talk to Ms. Mutoh 'bout a few things regardin' her..." Said Clyde in a rather nervous manner, thinking the receptionist would either buzz Megumi about what he wanted or would just tell him where she was.

Love, Paranoia & Heartache Empty Re: Love, Paranoia & Heartache

The receptionist fixed her glasses a little, getting a good look at Clyde. He looked like he stepped right out of a western movie. At first she thought he might've been a disgruntled actor in one of the films the company produced, but when Clyde made his intentions clear, the receptionist frowned. She barely knew anything about the AFW and things like that, since she was just a receptionist and wasn't privy to the details. She did know Megumi though; they chatted sometimes when she worked late, and the idol was always very polite.

"Umm, I'm sorry, but I can't say I know who you are," she said, almost spacing out a little bit, "As for seeing Ms. Mutoh, I don't think I can let you do that. She's currently engaged at the moment, and normally speaking I cannot authorize any person to speak with her unless it's a personal appointment." The receptionist frowned a little bit, adjusting her glasses again. She really needed to get them fixed.

"Besides, if you are a wrestler, wouldn't it be easier to go find her in the AFW complex sometime?" she asked, "Why here of all places? I mean, I guess if you were looking for the studios you'd come here, but this isn't normally a place someone would come to to have a talk with the talent..."

*Smack!* Went Clyde's hand as it slapped the top of his hat upon hearing the Receptionist state that she didn't know who he was. He figured as much and tried to use the name of a Friction Wrestler to help that problem but it became quite clear to him that she wasn't going to let him see Megumi because she was busy apparently and he wasn't going to be allowed to speak to her unless it was a personal appointment. A personal appointment. Oh she had no clue exactly how PERSONAL this honestly was.

Clyde then let out a frustrated groan and huff as the Receptionist asked why he was even here and why this wasn't exactly the ideal place to seek out a chat.

"Because this is urgent as hell I honestly gotta complain to somebody round here!!" Clyde would let out as he swung his arms about before getting on his knees in front of the receptionist, clasping his hands together and shaking them as a means of pleading to the receptionist like he was a criminal (but technically he was) pleading for a lighter sentence to the judge.

"Lady! I ain't got an appointment but this IS very... Veeeerrrrry Personal! I NEED to know where Mutoh is! Please! Im beggin' ya lady!" Clyde would beg as he tried to put on his best pleading face to make him seem very desperate. Pride didn't matter in this situation.

The receptionist frowned. "Mr.Gastin, is it?" she asked, "I'm really sorry, but you cannot see Ms. Mutoh at this time. Umm... I can ask tomorrow if you like, maybe book an appointment, but I can't do anything right now..." Seeing Clyde dissolve into histronics, the receptionist seemed extremely flustered. "Oh geez, I'm sorry but you can't do this here!" she said, "Begging me isn't going to help. Why don't you come back tomorrow, and talk with someone else? I'm truly sorry, but I can't do anything here for you!"

The receptionist was nervous now, and quite fearful. Maybe this guy was some kind of stalker, a dangerous person or something. He certainly looked weird and talked weird, none of which was helping his case. And seeing him break down like that was really making her scared. Her hand was underneath the table, ready to press the emergency button. She hoped it wouldn't come to that, but in this case, it might.

Clyde couldn't keep himself from frowning upon realizing that NONE of his words were getting through to the receptionist, even acting desperate and begging wasn't helping him, it was making things a lot worse and Clyde was running out of options.

"Lady you don't understand! This is a matter of life and death! People gon' die if you don't do somethin', right now!!" Clyde would let out as he jumped up to his feet and clutched the top of the desk to speak to the woman in a final act of desperation, but would soon realize that his words were probably not the best words to use and could easily be taken out of context.

"....Uhhh.... And When I say that I mean that I sure as hell wouldn't be the cause of... Aww Hell..." Said Clyde, trying to explain before finally just giving up. "Hey! Look what's that!?!?" Clyde would let out, pointing far off to the right to hopefully distract the receptionist before he tried to make a run for it and head down nearest hallway to the left, hoping he could find some elevators and not get taken down by security.

"Clyde wh..wherever you're going, don't get into too much trouble...be careful with yourself.." Those were the words spoken by Heather before left their apartment and came here and they rang out through Clyde's head. He was sorry he couldn't follow what she asked of him and hoped he wasn't going to leave here in handcuffs either. But part of him didn't care anymore.

"Look, what I'm trying to say right now is that Ms. Mutoh is not in right now and won't be in until the morning..." the receptionist said, but then Clyde made a break for it. Her eyes widened, and she pressed the emergency button in panic. Suddenly security was all alerted, and the police were called. It even reached Drake's penthouse, where the owner of the company frowned, looking at the screen curiously, wondering who the hell this guy was.

The two security guards immediately sprang to action. "Stop right there!" one of them yelled as he got in Clyde's way. The other came up behind him, slowly drawing out his taser. Steel shutters came down over the elevator doors, and the controls stopped working. Like in all emergencies, the entire building was locked down.

Love, Paranoia & Heartache Empty Re: Love, Paranoia & Heartache

Clyde really thought he was going to be able to make a break for it without too much worry. Then came that worst possible thing Clyde could ever hear. A security alarm. "No... No! No! No! Not again!!" Clyde thought to himself as his eyes would widen in fear, his heart skipping a beat as he heard those sounds and saw those steel shutters cover the elevator doors. It was over. He screwed up and failed. He was going to have to most likely pay now. He messed up.

He really hated alarms and sirens, he heard them quite a few times back home in Texas but managed to stay away out of trouble with the Law or just security in general while he stayed in Japan. At least until now. And that bothered him. This was supposed to be a place where he had a second chance and had a clean slate. Was he ruining it now?

Clyde then saw those two guards going at him now with one of them in front and the other creeping up from behind him, but he was still sprinting and was confident he could outrun the one behind him but still had to face the one in front. The smart thing would have been to give in, but of course Clyde being Clyde was as stubborn as a mule and thought maybe, just maybe he could fight his way out of here.

"Like Hell!" snapped Clyde back at the guard while he sprinted towards him before trying to jump up and deliver a running knee lift right into the Guard's jaw. If that worked Clyde would stumble forth over the fallen Guard before turning around, trying to step on the body of the fallen guard and jump off him before attempting to catch Guard #2 with a leaping punch, right to his face.

If he even managed to do that and take down those guards. He would make a fast break for the front door and try to get the hell out of that building before he was tased down or arrested. He didn't know if that front door was shut down as well but had to try and get out of there somehow.

The first guard was caught off guard and took the knee to the face, falling down with little style. Clyde was a fool for trying to go after both though. As he turned, the second guard fired his taser off, aiming to deliver 60000 volts straight into Clyde's chest. The first guard wasn't even down for long, quickly getting back up, rubbing his jaw.

"Idiot, trying those wrestling moves in real life," he said, "There's a reason wrestling is called fake jerkwad!" he walked over and delivered a sharp kick into Clyde's ribs.

Before they could dump him outside for police to take care of though, Drake's voice came over the intercom. "Boys, take him to the interrogation rooms," Drake said, "And keep him there till morning. I want to know what this guy wants."

The guards shrugged, cuffing Clyde's hands and taking him to the elevators, taking him up to the twenty-fourth floor. They marched him into a small windowless room, tossing him inside and locking him there.
