Match For Max.

Thu Jan 19, 2017 5:52 pm by Scarf

Just wondering if I could get something going for my newest Friction wrestler.
If anybody finds themselves interested or has any possible ideas for the future don't hesitate to hit me up, I'd be happy to hear from you.

Inconsistent posting

Mon Jan 16, 2017 8:53 pm by RJD

I have stuff coming up in the next couple of weeks and will not be able to post anywhere near as often as usual/before. To be honest this has already been showing it's effects lately but it will do so even more from now on. I'll prioritise my Avalanche match and multi character matches but other than that I'll respond probably once every few days, I'll try not to leave anyone hanging though.

Looking for Friction matches!

Sun Jan 15, 2017 2:07 am by tehbohemian

Hey everybody just posting a notice I have 2 wrestlers that could use some love!

Shinobu just got out of her match and I'm looking for some wins or losses to add to her record, she is a serious fighter and is looking for more straight forward fights, she could be a good match up against other "martial artist" type characters looking for a challenge or she could stand up to a violent heel, anything works.

Sonic is also up for matches, people familiar with Ring Dream or Wrestle Angels should …

Confession Thread t('-'t)

Post by Jizzelle on Thu Feb 23, 2012 3:15 am

-I get too embarrassed to continue a match if too much time passes from the time of the last post.
-I don't feel that my own writing is up to par with most of the people on this forum so I avoid asking other people for matches.
-Long posts intimidate me, so I feel as though mine needs to be as long, if not, longer and in the process, I find that I add unnecessary details.
-The Discussion forum is perhaps the main reason I find myself coming here for and I don't mind that.
-I believe that I subconsciously made this thread to procrastinate even more.

Something tells me that I'm not alone with the first confession.
Feel free to post your own

or don't. I'm Jizzelle not Officer Jenny.

- I get annoyed if people don't continue matches, no matter how long they take to post.
- I don't care how long the posts are
- I have learnt to live with the fact nobody is as awesome as me and I have forgiven them
- I have forgiven you

Now post back in my thread

I have come to terms with the fact that I am going to end up like Yatori and get in maybe one post a week, and only if it's a good week
Some people here have terrible grammar. I hate terrible grammar
I don't like to get descriptive with emotions and thoughts in the middle of a match. That stuff comes later, in the cooldown and backstage areas. When you're in a fight, the last thing you're going to think about is emotions.
My girls are not indicative of what real idols are like, because they aren't airheaded bitches.

I'm pretty bad at dialouge. I hate writing it more than almost anything.
I hate writing profiles most of all. They bore the shit out of me.
I'm not overly fond of the kawaii division.
There are some matches/RPs I really haven't wanted to do, but do them anyway because I like the person that wants the match/RP.
There are quite a few matches I wouldn't mind having, but don't like asking people because I don't want to bug them/don't want to make them RP with someone as bad as me.

I consider myself to be one of the worst RPer's on the board and whenever someone thanks me or says they had a good match with me I think they are making fun of me.

I am horrible with descriptions and wordplay, and tend to reuse the same ways of descriping reactions over and over again.

I Like Pie.

I do Yaoi matches and am not ashamed.

I find Sonic the Hedgehog's 3D form sexy.

Im very picky about who I request matches with and refuse to consider a match with someone I think is a bad RPer, which is actually a compliment to those I have done or tried to do matches with.

I think there should be a Male Kawaii division, though I understand that I would be alone in that idea.

I can write fanfics about Skyrim or Fallout or Zelda that have been considered awesome, yet im far too lazy to write profile bios that are decent.

Im not as Awesome as Kitten, which is a deep personal flaw that I must spend my life trying to correct.

I Love Waffles.

My band does cover songs because we arent good enough to do our own material, as those of you who have our only original song can agree with.

I Love Bacon.

I consider myself to be really bad at regular matches, and so I stick to Hentai matches, with my goal to do a hentai match with every single character on the board that I find to be hot.

I was 13-14 when I joined AFW. Which means that this place was basically a sex ed course to me, which is really sad.

I love reading the Kawaii hentai matches, but will never make a Kawaii as I am horrible at rping one.

I voted for Obama.

More confessions

- I write all my posts for AFW in a Blackberry phone (Save for profiles which I do at home in my desktop). This phone is so old that it crashes regularly, takes loads of time to restart and has the worst possible browser ever invented.
- I can type on my phone faster than the average person on a normal keyboard
- I can type full paragraphs on my phone one handed
- I can type full perfect short sentences on my phone one handed without looking at the screen
- My thumbs are usually sore at the end of the day
- I refused to be given an iPhone, because it doesn't has a keyboard to type on it
- I love my Blackberry despite or maybe because how bad it sucks (it is like the love a mother feels for her retarded son)
- I write 80% of my posts during classes or at work
- I been reprimanded both at work and school for being caught typing on my phone
- People usually assume I'm chatting with friends and don't seem to suspect I am writing ecchi fiction on my phone ^_^
- Natalia is my third name
- Yes, I have 3 names
- I have an English dictionary in my Blackberry that I use to check the spelling and meaning of some words while I write my posts
- I find it annoying when some writes a move in a match and follows with "If that works, X would then do Y".
- In general I find conditionals (If-then-else) to be an annoying structure to write a post
- I hate engineers
- I hate non-anime characters being posted in the forum
- I specially hate super-hero characters being posted in the forum
- Although I do participate in mixed matches I still resent the intrusion of males in the league and constantly debate myself over how the 'purity of yuri' has been ruined
- I can't help but think that a match that doesn't ends in sex is missing something...like 'the point'.
- I still enjoy non-erotic threads, as they are great for character development
- I have noticed many of you have never seen a wrestling match and lack the basic understanding of how wrestling works
- I am guilty of a severe degree of 'said bookism' but I am trying to recover from it
- I know I am awesome but I would like to receive 'honest constructive criticism' of my threads other than "you are awesome"
- I feel I am 'stuck' and my writing is not improving (actually getting worse, but that is probably because of the excess of threads), and I blame all of you for not offering me any useful criticism
- Once my count of active threads reached 30, I decided I had gone too far and went to completely refrain from starting new threads.
- I have decided I will establish a maximum number of threads in which I will play...but haven't yet decided what will be that limit
- I seriously doubt I will be able to stick to that limit -_-

Re: Confessions

Post by Harrier on Thu Feb 23, 2012 4:34 pm

-The "welcoming" sequence of this board is harsh, or my ability to detect sarcasm is underdeveloped or hindered by the medium of a PC.
-I have no idea what an idol is
-I(like Booker T) don't know the difference between an Alabama Slam and a Sidewalk Slam, looks kind of the same.
-I use my mobile phone once a week, probably less.
-A Blackberry is SOTA in my eyes, I have no idea or interest of what a mobile is really capable of
-I write all my posts in word, my real writing is filled with double c, s and l mistakes
-I Youtube moves I don't know(especially submissions, sadly learned that the LaBelle lock also has a much more crude name)
-I had to convert from Thread: Enter and play to Thread: open just for you and your posting partner(s)
-I don't make much difference between Anime and Comic Characters
-I have no idea of insider Animes, already have a hard time following mainstream ones.
-I ain't sure why Naruto, One Piece and Bleach are labeled for kids. Brutal stuff most of the time, I cried like a baby when the two Ninjas from the Village of bloody Fog were killed.
-I am not to cool for DBZ, Freezer Saga is awesome.
-Today's wrestlers are really bland, and I blame "I wanna be a senator!" Linda McMahon for that. And the Indy circus, Punk and Bryan are the pick of the litter among many mediocre guys who are not better than anyone in the WWE or TNA.
-Most people in here are better writers than they think they are
-There is no useless stuff in a post.

1. If what you said about the phone is true, you are one of the most amazing people I've ever met.
2. Firefox spell check, I don't think anyone can RP on AFW without it.
3. You bring up a point that I have thought about as well. "If that works, X would then do Y." For the record, I'm guilty of this and I only just realized the situation it puts the other person in. For one, it's like getting two moves in at once and skipping and two, if that statement is relatively close to the beginning of the post and the rest of the post is based on that move working, what happens when the move doesn't work? All the effort the other person put into writing and planning just got destroyed. Meh.
4. Confession: I dislike people that join and only make a male character.
5. I've seen some matches go *Beginning lock-up* *Sexsexsexsexsexsexsex*. Then again, they aren't my matches, so I really have no place to tell other how to RP.
6. You just taught me about 'said bookism'. I love you and I hope you don't die. No, seriously, I didn't even know that was an issue! Wow.

I think this thread might be good for people to talk about some pet peeves they have while RPing and if others see those, they can try to avoid them and have a better experience? I don't know. I think I'm rambling . . . and procrastinating. . . Yep, definitely procrastinating.

Confession: Ellipses have no place in a match.
Confession: If I'm having two or more of the same match with people over PM, I copy and paste one into all of them and change small details.

There are(in my opinion) rather elegant ways to work with that.

1. Break them up
Speaking of follow up moves, lets take a look at the Miz aka the real Janetty of the Team Miz and Morrison:
Miz has basically 6 moves he always does. Running clothesline, Backbreaker/Neckbreaker Combo, Neckbreaker, Backbreaker and a variety of resters/submission holds. If you follow his match, you will realize that he hits the Back/Neckbreaker Combo quite often, but sometimes an opponent just takes the Backbreaker and beans him with a kick if its a small guy or powers out if its a big guy.

This works easily with Luchadore moves(if an opponent sandbags an luchador, he is practically helpless as a hurricanrana forces the rudo to work or it looks really awkward), a sitout powerbomb or a firemans carry/fallaway slam combo.

2. Countermove
Some moves like the sitout powerbomb not only allow for an easy escape but also effective countermoves. Sitout powerbomb can be turned into a nasty pin etc etc. Most people learn from these counter actions to avoid going overboard in time, and you have not forced them to do anything they didn't want to do, so everybody wins in the end.
