Haruka Tenou vs Kyo Akamatsu

Kyo held his breath as the two of them struggled, collar and elbow, grappling near the centre of the ring. He could tell that Haruka wasn't committing everything to this lockup-- instead, she was playing it smart, alternating between pressing against him and falling back to conserve her energy. With each passing minute, Haruka was proving herself to be more and more of a worthy opponent.

He was about to break the deadlock with a sharp knee to Haruka's midsection when the girl suddenly fell back. Kyo gasped as he was flipped over Haruka in a perfect toss, and went crashing onto his back. He winced at the impact, a slow hiss of pain escaping his lips as he sat upright, trying to get back into the fight.

Haruka rolled to her feet and got back slightly. As Kyo went to rise she gave a shout and would try to lunge at him with a raised knee attack aimed for the upper body.

"UNGH!" Kyo grunted as Haruka's knee slammed against his upper body, forcing the air from his lungs. The blow sent him back to his hands and knees, catching his breath as he tried to force himself upright once again.

Haruka would go to grab for his hair as she got to hands and knees and try to ram her knee into the side of his face and force him to the corner.

Colours danced across Kyo's vision as Haruka's knee impacted with his face. His body was sent tumbling backwards, his back thudding against the corner post. Gritting his teeth, Kyo clutched his hurting face, his vision swimming. Shaking his head, he tried to clear away the dizziness and focus back on the match, knowing that he was extremely vulnerable right now.

Haruka would advance on Kyo and actually try to mount him a bit by climbing to the middle rope. If this was done, she raised a fist as a signal to the crowd, and would attempt to administer the 10 count punch down to Kyo's face.

As Kyo's vision cleared, he looked up...and was met by the image of Haruka's lower body directly in front of him. Blushing, he instantly turned his head to the side. The movement worked in his favour, as he wound up unknowingly rolling with Haruka's first punch, grunting as the blow glanced across his cheek. Haruka's second punch drilled hard into his temple, causing his vision to go haywire again, but he was still conscious. With a deep intake of breath, he threw a fist of his own back up into Haruka, aiming to nail her hard in the midsection.

That punch would be enough to disrupt the sucession of punches Haruka was trying to aim down at Kyo and she doubled over a bit as she stood over him.

Given this breathing space, Kyo caught his breath, seeing Haruka doubled over in front of him. Gingerly, he got back to his knees, sending another forerm punch into Haruka's gut before standing up fully, sliding an arm around her head to lock in a frontal headlock. His arm muscles and abs went rigid as he gave Haruka a good squeeze, though he didn't plan to keep her in this hold for long.

"Grnngghhh!"

Haruka grunted in pain as she was put in the front headlock. She grapped onto Kyo's waits almost for support and for now seemed to be helpless and caught.
